  • One Man Only: The Maker Strain is designed to work with Miralukan biology, but only a single strain was ever developed.

  • Sight Lines: The Visual Implants do not allow the user to see through walls, as the signal will bounce upon contact with a solid object.
  • Headaches: The signals from the Visual Implant, when active, are migraine inducing.

After the success of the first Nephilim Serum, Voph commissioned a second serum designed for his personal use, seeking to both bolster his own physicality, and to correct some genetic abnormalities that had begun to occur within him. This, of course, did not correct ALL the peculiarities, instead causing even more beyond the original scope. But, Voph's health was stabilized, and his appearance fell more consistently in line with how an individual of his physical age ought to appear.

The anomalies were discovered during a medical exam conducted in the early stages of the strain's development with the intent of assessing Voph's viability to receive treatment, and further study identified improper cloning techniques as the cause. While not immediately problematic, the defects could have proven lethal if allowed to persist. The Serum was altered to target these defects, which in turn boosted the recipient into a much healthier state.

Alongside the other problems that such a program had created in the Nephilim Soldiers, Voph discovered that the visual implant (which proved to be a godsend in certain scenarios) caused migraines and other intensely unpleasant sensations when used for a long period of time. While this might have been remedied at some point, Voph elected to implement the current working version, as he found himself able to stomach the few moments of illness in favor of being able to see.
