  • Ammunition Capacity: Small
  • Effective Range: Personal
  • Rate of Fire: Very High

SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Rate of Fire: Capable of rapid fire if the trigger is held down continuously, the Kase can litter an area, or individual with blaster bolts in a very little amount of time if so desired.
  • Reliable: Protected against water, dust, and even electromagnetic devices. The Kase will remain worthy of a user's trust in even the most harsh environments. While its cooling coils, located along the barrel prevent any significant amount of overheating.
  • Light: Not as heavy as other weapons of it's class, the Kase is manufactured with lightweight materials, lessening the demand of carrying it on the user.
  • Small: Easily concealable with the right clothing, or other means of disguise. The ND40 Kase can be hidden on a user's body, allowing for more discrete operation, and can be fitted into small spaces with relative ease, allowing for large numbers to be stored with minimal space.
WEAKNESSES
  • Recoil: However effective it may be, the Kase does have a kick to it, and one can only really take advantage of its rapid firing if they take the time to master its difficult recoil.
  • Stopping Power: Intended to rapidly deliver blaster bolts, the stopping power of each individual bolt is less, when compared to an average weapon. It is thus advised to fire more than a single blast when utilizing the Kase.
DESCRIPTION
Designed, developed, and manufactured by Nakaioma Defense Dynamics, the ND40 Kase is a sub-repeater blaster, intended for widespread availability, and operational capabilities that allow for a variety of uses in both civilian, and military fields. Owing to its small size, light weight, and relative cost effectiveness, it has seen use in private ownership for both personal defense, as well as home defense, law enforcement, bodyguards, private security, and some military use by special operations units, though as of today, no major faction has introduced it into service. Specializing as a close quarters, rapid fire weapon, and personal defense weapon. Inaccurate, and ineffective at longer distances, the NK-100 is most certainly a lethal weapon to be feared in close quarters combat, notably in-doors, and in other urban environments.

First thought of shortly after the Netherworld incident, as the demand for weapons rose astronomically. The Hayabusa rifle was intended initially to be a purely home and personal defense weapon, with limited range, heavier weight, and a lack of accuracy being balanced out with a higher ammunition capacity, and greater stopping power. However as development went on, the bloated R&D team assigned to the project increasingly became divided into two proto-factions of sorts, one that preferred a design similar to what the Hayabusa rifle is today, and one that preferred the originally intended model, which would go on to become the Kase. Taking the concerns of both sides into consideration, the corporation made the decision to develop both an assault blaster rifle, and a close quarters, sub-assault blaster. Eventually splitting the two camps into their own, distinct development teams. Adding extra years onto the development timeline of both weapons, but in the end producing two specialized designs.
