WEAKNESSES

Short Reach - At only three feet in length, the Nau'ur Kad lacks the reach advantage of polearms, halberds, spears, and other long-shafted weapons, forcing its wielder to operate within close combat range. Meanwhile, its contoured grip improves precision, but shortens the effective leverage during swings, limiting the weapon's ability to generate the devastating impact force associated with larger two-handed war hammers.

Unprotected Haft - The lack of a guard or protective crosspiece leaves the wielder's hands more vulnerable to enemy strikes, weapon slides, or glancing blows during close-quarters combat.

Limited Defensive Capability - The Nau'ur Kad is optimized for delivering powerful attacks rather than parrying, making it less effective for defensive fencing techniques than swords or dedicated defensive weapons.

Requires Commitment to Attacks - The weighted head provides solid striking power, but causes slower recovery between swings compared to knives, short swords, or lighter axes, leaving openings if attacks miss. The Nau'ur Kad Gravity Hammer is an updated Mandalorian adaptation of the traditional gravity hammer commonly found within clan forges throughout Mandalorian Space. Designed and manufactured by the Aether Arms Division to serve both as a practical smithing implement and a formidable battlefield weapon, the Nau'ur Kad combines the utility of a forge hammer with the lethality expected of Mandalorian craftsmanship. Its head features a blunt hammer-face on one side for delivering crushing impacts and a single-edged downward-curved axe blade on the other end for cleaving and cutting attacks. The axe blade incorporates a monomolecular edge reinforced with neutronium, creating an exceptionally sharp and resilient cutting surface capable of inflicting grievous injuries. Durasteel bonding further strengthens the weapon, improving its resistance ot wear and damage over time. The three-foot haft is fitted with a contoured grip wrapped in durable Ronto-hide leather, providing secure handling and excellent control in both combat and industrial environments. While the grip design enhances precision and maneuverability, it sacrifices some leverage, preventing the Nau'ur Kad from matching the raw striking force of larger dedicated war hammers. Favored by Mandalorian armorers, forge workers, and warriors alike, the Nau'ur Kad embodies the Mandalorian belief that every tool should be capable of serving as a weapon.
