- Production: Minor
- Material: Electronics, Reinforced Duraplast

- Classification: Implant
- Size: Small
- Weight: Average
- Resistances (Optional): Implant has no native defensive qualities.

- Controls and replenishes nanobots within a body, droid or armour.

- Able to keep Nanobots within a body/droid/armour charged.
- Can repair damaged Nanobots
- Can control a swarm of nanobots in a decentralized processing network that allows the control and handling of Nanobots to be spread out, allowing the primary processing power of the cyborg, droid or armour to be used for other purposes.

- Weak point: If the Nanohive is damaged the Nanotechnology it exists at the centre of will quickly run out of power and become useless.
- Limited capacity: The Nanohive can only produce and handle so many Nanobots at once before reaching its limit.
- Slow restoration: If the nanobots under the hive's control are damaged or destroy they can be repaired or replenished, however, the hive is not capable of instant replenishment or repairs. Repairing them takes time and resources.

Nanotechnology is one of the most powerful tools available to any technologist, the ability to affect the world around you on a molecular level, the sheer utility and versatility it offers aren't easily cast aside. However, it's not without its drawbacks. The Nanobots which the technology is so dependant on are minuscule, and carry with them a correspondingly short charge, making long term use of Nanobots a tricky endeavour to say the best.
The Nanohive is Locke and Key Mechanics answer to this problem, a small implant which can be used to manufacture or charge nanobots it allows the technology to be more easily used over a long period of time. This is especially important as Locke and Key Mechanics look to integrate the technology into their future creations.
