OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Shipyards Name: Nadiri Dockyards.
  • Classification: Deep Space Shipyard / Deep Dock
  • Location:
  • Affiliation:
  • Population: Sparsely Staffed, with Automated Functionality.
  • Accessibility: Private Access
    • Nestled within the proverbial heart of a sprawling asteroid belt, the Nadiri Dockyards were wholly isolated from the rest of the Bormea Sector. Such a location necessitated secrecy in the ages past, and the reconstituted Galactic Alliance sought to do the same in the present. Ships hailing from the Chandrilan Militia and the Alliance’s Defence Force patrolled the Sector, actively combating the waves of pirates and scavengers - seeking to lay claim to the riches of the Ringali Nebula. As the Nadiri Dockyards were off the proverbial beaten path, they benefited little from the roving combat patrols and were instead forced to rely on the dedicated garrison of fast attack craft and Capital ships. Nevertheless, only those that were classified as authorized individuals would find themselves greeted warmly by the asteroid-bound Shipyard.
  • Description:
    • Housed within the hollowed out and proverbial heart of an Asteroid, the Nadiri Dockyards were the birthplace of the first iteration of the New Republic’s Starhawk battleships. Utilizing the smooth, and utilitarian aesthetic of the Chandrilan people, the Station within was a testament to the ancient Rebellion’s technological ingenuity. The shattered remains of Galitan were seamlessly bonded to metallic gantries alongside a host of habitable modules, and dozens of supplementary stations that aided the Dockyards with its constructive capabilities. From there, the entire deep-space facility was encircled by wistfully spinning asteroids that were kept at bay through the prowess of the integrated defence mechanisms, as well as the dedicated security force. There were also dozens of ancillary pylons that were seeded throughout the nearby asteroid field acting as warning beacons - waving away any would-be victims in the hope of saving them from an unfortunate fate.

POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Shattered Fields of Galitan:
    • Named after the sundered moon that gave birth to a majority of the asteroids within the belt, the Shattered Fields of Galitan was an asteroid belt that encircled the Ringali Nebula, posing a danger to any would-be trespassers, as well as any Pilot who was unprepared for the ever-changing navigational hazards.
  • Sissuboan Starship Graveyard:
    • As its name entails, the Sissuboan Starship Graveyard was a sprawling field populated with the husks of countless starships from almost every Era throughout history - most of which fell prey to the tumultuous nature of the Ringali Nebula or ran afoul of the Shattered Fields of Galitan.
  • The Chandrilan Path:
    • Believed to be one of the more stable routes through the most hazardous portion of the Bormea Sector, the Chandrilan Path was a partially stabilized and navigable pathway through the Shattered Fields of Galitan that led towards the Dockyards proper. It was kept intact, and maintained by several repulsorfield stations spread along a winding path - the locations of which were known only to a select few.
SECURITY
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Despite the relatively brief period of technological regression that gripped the Galaxy during the outbreak of the Gulag Plague, there was still much that was unknown about the mysterious history of the Nadiri Dockyards. There were rumours and speculations about its origins, but none were ever considered a verifiable fact. The ancient texts, stored in digitized vaults, were too corroded and rife with coding errors - whilst the hard copies became nothing more than dusty impressions left to rot throughout the centuries. However, what could be divined was that the Spacebound Station was indeed an ancient marvel of engineering built into the hollowed-out surface of an asteroid. From this partially shrouded port, massive warships were constructed to aid in the fight against some long-forgotten enemy and those that followed in their insidious footsteps. That's all that truly mattered to the Chandrilan people - especially when they managed to recover from the plague and return to the Stars once more.

As the spatial forges were relit, the Nadiri Dockyards found itself slowly awakening from its centuries-long slumber. Much of the station eroded and degraded during its period of abandonment. The locals spent many years overhauling the venerable systems with whatever knowledge that could be reacquired from their ancestors. However, it wasn't perfect enough to see the station returned to its former glory. For countless years after the station was reclaimed, the Chandrilan people found themselves continually replacing systems as they burned out, or fell into various states of disrepair. Such was the state that the One Sith and their Empire found Chandrila - after they banished the reformed Galactic Republic from the depths of the Core Region. With an ever-expanding desire for blood and conquest, the One Sith needed every Shipyard they could get their hands on to keep up with their costly war effort.

Thus, the Nadiri Dockyards found itself once again experiencing yet another period of technological rejuvenation and refurbishment.

However, unlike the last time, the One Sith efforts weren't seen through to completion. The Second Galactic Alliance had seen to that. With their attention focused on exterminating what remained of the ailing Republic within the Mid Rim, the Sith never saw their doom until it was too late. As they fell, what remained of their overstretched Empire and its influence fractured into Neo-tribal Warlordism. Every Commander, Admiral, or ranking Sith Cultist ruled over those beneath their command - staking themselves to be the rightful inheritors of the fallen Emperor's legacy. One such Warlord found themselves in possession of the partially completed Nadiri Dockyards - but wasn't able to capitalize on their newfound treasure, as the Defence Force of the Galactic Alliance banished their forces from the Chandrilan system. With their station returned, the reformed Chandrilan Government picked up where their Sith Overlords left off - but with assistance with a notable Coruscanti Corporation specializing in reviving ancient technology.

Such was the origins of the relationship between the Chandrilan people and the Republic Engineering Corporation. From that moment onwards, their bond grew ever closer. This inevitably resulted in the revival of the ancient line of Starhawk Battleships once produced by the Nadiri Dockyards. Those warships would become the main-line battleships of the reconstituted Galactic Alliance of the present and spearhead their offensive into the Sith Empire's proverbial heart.
