All clear: The NT-1 has been hardened in a process similar to that of Duraplast, providing strong protection from EMP and Ion attacks.
Walk it off: Provides good protection from energy damage as well as weaker melee weapons.
Hot stuff: Classic downside of the NT-1. While the myoflex does its job, everything stops at some point. Flash-heat like that of a grenade is – perhaps counter-intuitively – less dangerous than the continuous barrage of a fully-automatic blaster rifle. While the material maintains integrity even when exposed to extreme temperatures, your head doesn’t.
Sssizle: NT-1 is an excellent conductor, which also applies to electricity. Avoid Sith lightning and exposed wires like the plague, or your brain will short out. Permanently.
Kinetic impact: High-powered slughtrowers, grenades, heavy-duty melee weaponry, and everything else that delivers kinetic energy will cause severe problems. While those weapons might not necessarily pierce the armor, the impact alone will often cause irreparable damage to the head.
The companion piece to P-series Combat armorhttp://starwarsrp.net/topic/112436-nadir-p-series-combat-armor/, meant to extend the wearer’s life and functionality in the toughest of situations. Unlike the armor, the helmet is hardened against EMP/Ion to prevent critical systems from shorting out in the thick of battle. The helm comes standard with a comprehensive suite of systems that help the enterprising mercenary dispatch enemies more quickly and efficiently.
In stride with modern advancements, the design eschews a the exposed visor, relying mainly on the systems inside the helmet to provide the wearer with feedback. In case power runs out or if electricity shorts the helmet out, there is still a narrow slit for the wearer to see through. This choice reduces the weakness of a transparisteel visor to a minimum, while also preventing identification of the wearer – a practical perk for criminal clientele.
The NT-1 used in construction provides the helmet with adequate defense against most energy weapons and melee attacks. Where it begins to fail is high-powered slughtrowers, grenades, and anything else that packs a powerful kinetic punch. Nadir recommends that you avoid blocking too many strikes with your head.
