Warm up- Even with its impressive power generation, running the droid brain and weapons means that for the first few seconds of an engagement the pilot is purely defensive
Flying blind- While the canopy has been replaced by hull plates, if the sensors are jammed or otherwise impeded the pilot is flying completely blind until they can be brought back online
DESCRIPTION
The N-1X, colloquially referred to as the 'Phoenix' was an idea that Kurayami had while drinking one night while watching a documentary about the Battle of Naboo. The N-1 starfighter caught his eye and he decided it deserved to be brought back into the galaxy at large. As such he began playing around with the specific of the design, making sure to give the craft uprated firepower and speed. This was accomplished through getting rid of the astromech socket and other systems that were deemed 'unnecessary.' As a side effect the craft is also more maneuverable than one would assume upon first viewing it. The paired repeating cannons, twin autoblasters, and electromagnetic plasma repeating cannon give the craft a terrifying amount of punch in it's relatively small frame, though all weapons are directed forward and it contains no shielding.
The hull plating is primarily made of Chromium and electrum laid over reinforced duraplast, with pyronium heatsinks surrounding all weapons systems and around all engine and hyperdrive components. The phrik is the skeleton and the base of the craft to allow for increased survivability in the absence of any shielding. Outside of the hull composition the only defensive system is and advanced EW suite to disrupt enemy sensors and targeting systems.
