Description: The MTT-X is borne out of the weaknesses of the Clone Wars: it has been found that the original MTT couldn't defend against vehicles, and also that the power generators were outdated. Yet, these next-generation engines and power generators did not increase the MTT-X's speed due to the addition of power-hungry armament systems, alongside a skin-tight shield generator. Due to the nature of the shield generators, the MTT-X needs to lower its shields to deploy troops. And, as such, additional armament systems were added, mainly the addition of a retractable turret-mounted dual light turbolaser, as well as two hump-mounted Krupx MiniMag proton torpedo launchers for anti-aircraft, mounting homing versions of these projectiles. Due to the turbolaser turret being located at the back of the vehicle, there is a forward blind spot, that is, the turbolaser cannot hit directly forward unless firing at targets at higher elevations than the top hump.

As with the original MTT, the MTT-X has the capability of mounting a rack enabling it to carry folded B1 battle droids. When it does so, it can carry 56 folded B1 battle droids, otherwise it could carry 6 B2 battle droids or sentients. Also, its repulsorlift engines prevent it from flying it more than five meters above ground.

Alrighty.

Since actual vehicle-grade Turbolasers are usually light Turbolasers, could you specify that it's a light Turbolaser in the sub?

Also, as the Turbolaser turret needs a great deal of empty space to be retracted into, a reduction in carrying capacity would be necessary, alternatively the Turbolaser turret could be externally mounted, getting rid of the space problem, however requiring them to be mounted in another location, as the top bump would not be wide enough to properly support a dual Turbolaser turret of that size (going off of the shape the sub is based on and your provided width at least).

Thanks!

[member="Erich Arnstein"] A rear-mounted retractable light turbolaser turret would mean that the turbolaser cannot hit targets directly forward the MTT due to the top hump, unless said targets are at higher elevations than the top hump. Is that acceptable?

it's still a light dual turbolaser, though.

Certainly, though would the turret still retract into the vehicle? If so, either a carrying capacity reduction or an increase in size would be necessary, as the turret would require an empty space to be retracted into.
