Mortis Nec Renascentia (Open to All)

((Open to anyone, but I want to let a few people know for sure, @[member="Amari Vessia"], @[member="Dharma Vessia"], @[member="Fabula Cavataio"], @[member="Minerva Vessia"] ))

Another grand day in paradise; however, it was all to fake. The mind playing old tracks of what was and not there. It was a way to deal with the lack of familiarity. If anything, the cold colorless stone walls, blacken gravel floor that her toes easily played in like sand at a beach, and the starless ceiling that was a void hinted to nothing, and fake was better than nothing. There was nothing to say that life existed at that very moment. Even her being there left a question, was she dead or alive.

Petra stood there to ponder the mean of it all that was just the same with infinite repetitiveness. Standing was the only productive thing to do when wandering resulted the feeling over just standing in the same place. When the walls, ceiling, and flooring all seemed uncharged, did walking actually happen? Was there true movement? Just maybe she did travel miles on end to the point of exhaustion but everything was the same.

Then came in the questions of it being a dream, death, or actual reality she was stuck in. She ruled out dream since she never slept unless forced to like carbon freezing. Death that could be the answer for the old woman who cheated that old rival, they danced so many times to see who would win and just getting lucky of beating him so she had more time on her side. If it was death, then would she remember? Would she not? And Death finally won, would he not want to gloat about it for all eternity with playing it over and over for her to experience every second until time itself was reaped by him. That made her rule out Death’s hand being the puppeteer.

It left her with reality. This was real and it sucked. Clearly it was the worse place to be for just visiting a world. Standing there to see the same thing, her toes grabbing then releasing the gravel left her to move on with her thoughts. They had because there were features here that could not be explained. There was no sound. Nothing at all as infinite the walls went on, the deafening silence was as unending. Her footsteps, toes digging in the gravel, shouts were all empty like sealed in a vacuumed room or space.

No matter what, Petra held to her beliefs. In this situation, two in particular were important. Firstly, she held that she needed company to share her ideas with and fight against being alone. Any kind of social contact would change how things were going for her. Secondly, she held that all things came to an end. She knew that there would be an end for her as surely as there was for everything else.

The soft crunch under her shoes was more then enough for Lavania while she wondered who it was she was feeling. THe nightsister, witch, jedi whatever they wanted to call her had been lost since Dathomir and then at Yaga she had found something. That was the Pale her servant or her prisoners she was not sure the mandalorians spirit was something powerful, something she didn't understand in the game. After fighting Velok on Tython and aiding in the sacking of Dromund Kaas with mounted Rancors she had to admit... Whatever she was, whatever she could be was not on Dathomir as much even though she still practiced her spells and the used the force when needed.

That was what led her this way with the force, the sigil on her neck amplifying it so her sight was stronger her senses more acute and when she used some of the spells it was easier. Though she had learned from Rave a few things about her sisters magics... They weren't as strong without the darkness that she was working to avoid using. Elayne Hawk had been willing to work with her before but the women had not known what she was thinking her just another member of that clans and now someone was here who hopefully was a teacher or at the least someone who could guide. If only the jedi could hear the stoic blind woman wondering what she should do with her life.

Darkness.

It was almost poetic how the Mandalorian had developed such an intimate relationship with the abstract, and abhorred, concept. At first, there was naught save animosity; for he was a warrior waging war against the servants of Darkness...but then the very same slaves appealed to his pride. They ensnared his heart through hubris: offering him an opportunity to lend his hand in the felling of an Emperor. What warrior would pass up such an opportunity? What son of Mandalore would cast a deaf ear to such a chance for glory? Certainly not Isley Verd...and so his corruption began, at the hands of one by the name Gregor. The bargain was struck: the opportunity for his loyalty, and down the rabbit hole he fell; into the embrace of Darkness.

Now, so many months later, the Mandalorian was just as lost physically as he was metaphorically. Time had seen a multitude of changes erupt within him, born of confusion and the stain of the Dark Side; and though he had accepted that he was nothing more than a monster...still, he was lost. There were shreds of "light" in his life: friends, family, and comrades, who made him feel as though the bile pouring through his essence was not there...but the moment he ventured away from them was the moment the Darkness reared its ugly head. And so, Isley became confused and took time to wander the stars in search of himself. He would answer the call of home as it came, but otherwise he ventured betwixt and between, hoping to find the true path upon which to tread.

And so that journey brought him here...to a Force-forsaken world covered in shadow.

The initial steps upon this world had brought him to a structure ruined by the hands of time. With each step, his boots crunched into the gravel which made up the floor, tearing from his grasp any notions of a quiet entrance. The black of the structure, with its starless "ceiling", was pierced only by the duo of lights which activated on his visor. Pale rays of white washed over the corridor which led before him, as the fingertips of his offhand slid upon the wall idly. Though seemingly alone, and very much in the dark...Isley did not fear. In fact, he was perfectly at peace; more so than he would ever be within the embrace of the light. For many minutes, he simply wandered, until his helmet roused him from the daze he slowly, but surely, entered.

There were signs of life, according to his scanners, just up ahead.

Caution rippled through his bones and his offhand descended to his side, brushing idly upon the slugthrower which awaited his touch. But it was too early to rouse the machine pistol from its slumber, for not a single foe had come out of the dark to strike. As such, Isley kept up his guard and tested the waters with but a single sentence. "Hello?" came his voice, sounding metallic as it exited his helmet, "Is anyone here?" Straightway, his voice echoed throughout the halls, desperately seeking any ears to hearken to its call.

Kiyala Demont`

Character
Character
Focus requires a sound mind and body to align their needs to one goal and when one found that in a meditative trance it was rarely so easily disrupted. Ever since Kiyala ursurped her master and achieved the realms of a Goddess she had come to accept that either Petra was truly departed or at least did not want to be found. At certain points she imagined Petra would be disappointed with her because of the fact that the Nightsisters currently were allied with the other witches who allied the entirety of the covens with the Mandalorians. Petra would have made certain moves and would have revitalized the Nightsisters by now; This was not saying that Kiyala hasn't however because Kiyala has increasing the Nightsister's influence by the old ways of selling off their skills as skilled assassins and mercenaries. With Kiara's Sith Assassins and the Nightsisters coming together it had brought on an age of self discovery as new spells were being made and new kin were being indoctrinated into their life style. Kiyala found her trance deeply disturbed by a presence she had not felt in quite some time and found the irony in the situation surprisingly funny.

Stepping into the rest of her clothes as she usually took her outer robes off for meditation. But something occurred to Kiyala as she remembered Petra was once the coven leader; Kiyala began to wonder whether Petra was coming back for the throne. So just in case Kiyala wore her Rancor Mark 2 skin/armor suit under her robes before leaving out of her hidden complex in the side of a nearby mountain. It took a few minutes of walking though she was walking at normal speed before she came into view of Petra and was surprised to see @[member="Lavania"] & @[member="Isley Verd"] as well welcoming the old matriarch back to the fold.

"It has been too long Mother! Where have you been? " Kiyala found herself asking now a full grown woman compared to the small 12 year old Petra found her as.

Dharma Vessia

Lords of the Fringe
Character
Everything would be talking and trying to tell Dharma everything. Infinite information being given to her by speaking inanimate objects. It always has been that way. Here was different, it was same thing being said each step Dharma took. Only the word ‘death’ was on the lips of objects. A chill, shiver, and uncomfortableness were speaking with in her. It was clear that she should not be here whatever the place it was.

Dharma wondered how it was possible to be here. A place she never been to but was so familiar. It was like a dream or vision she had before. The blackness, void above her, and endless walls of grayness was giving her that dream feeling. Even if that was true, her twisted, creepy doll would still be with her, and that was not the case at the moment. Also feelings outside of the chill and uneasiness were a sense of familiarity. Family was there too. Same ones that she had fought with in the past.

Taking her saber in hand, she marched forward to find the answers of why everything was saying “death” to her.

Swing hard her saber at the sith in front of her left her confused as it sliced through mist and spun around. Nothing was same as she just saw. “What the…” Amari let out as she held her saber up defensively. She looked around dumbfounded at the endless saw of sameness. How she got from point ‘A’ to ‘B’ was unclear, but she felt and seen this place before. During her trials to test her armor and reaction, it had others coming out of walls to strike her. However, this was not the same as the walls were different in color. Saber humming and held as her feet started to carry her forward. Amari was going to explore and find out if it was test or not. Something had to hint where she was. There might be others in the place and could help answer it.

Minerva pulled the little purple sweater tighter around her in hopes to stave off the cold darkness around her. “Mommy”, she said in a terrified little voice. It was just so dark, all around her nothing but darkness. Mini shrieked and fell backwards upon the ground. “Whose there”, her voice shaking calling out to whatever was in the darkness. Was her mind playing trick upon her poor little frightened mind?

Character
Within the darkness there is always light or so was what Donovan lived by. As he traveled through the dark mist a rather ominous and yet comforting green glow exuded from him bring him light within the darkness. His eyes were closed as in such mists a light sider was tested by many hallucinations and other traps that would appear visually. He needed no map besides the force anyways so with sure steps he traversed the mist. That was until a young females voice cried out for her mother, Donovan was conflicted as most Dathormirian mothers were wildly possessive and may think him attempting to convert the young child when he was truly trying to help. He called out "Are you lost young one. I don't know where your mother is but if she's special like they rest of us she'll be attracted to the beacon of an Elder's power. Come with me I'll at least guide you out of the mists." And with that he turned and walked off following the path in his mind by his calculation, he did not have the much longer of a walk to go.

There was something in the darkness. Mini’s eyes grew wider as she seen the faint green light in the darkness. Freaking out just a little bit more Mini scouted backwards on her bum away from the talking green light. Until that is in her panicked state she realized what the light was trying to tell her. Really, you will help me”, the young girl crawled back up on her feet.

Minerva started to follow after the light realizing she never had a friend who was a light before. Also she was curious. “So do floating green lights have names and are they allowed to have friends?” Sadly it was just so dark around them Minerva could only see the light and not the boy who summoned it.

"Of course, if you don't mind me asking. . .How did you and your mother get separated?" Donovan imagined the young girl probably wandered off and got lost in the mist which actually was not that hard to do even for adults. It thanks to Donovan's training with the Jedi that he was able to keep such a sound head within the mist. "My name is Donovan but you can call me Don. Are you old enough to know what clan your from, it will make it easier to find your mother once we clear the mist." Donovan could see the edges of the mist coming up soon unfortunately he was walking slower because the younger girl would not have as long of a stride when walking as he an almost fully grown teen would. "Were almost through the mist now, I bet your mother is worried sick about you." Donovan added knowingly.

Minerva rubbed the edge of her nose trying to best answer all the questions Don the green light was asking. Should she be honest and tell the green light everything? She had been told before she should not be so trusting. “Is that where we are on Dathomir”, she giggled a bit embarrassed she did not know where she was.

Suddenly the young girl stopped giggling and the sound of her small little body hit the ground. “Ouch”, now sitting on her bum again Mini started to rubbed her big toe. “Stupid rock”, a little bit of her frustration could be heard in her voice. “I don’t know if my mommy knows I’m here. I hitched a ride in the back of her transport and followed her here. I just knew there was something up. I wonder if it is about Grandma?”

More came to the realm she existed in. Petra grinned at the thought of maybe draining and killing these new people. It was one thing she had not tried to get out of her. With the grin came a wicked laugh as purple flames and mist wrapped around her, she disappeared into the mist as part of it. Purple mist stretched and filled the halls. It was used to gaze and inspect those around the realm of endless repetitiveness.

After each was inspected and assessment was made about how each were compared to her, Petra made herself reform in front of Kiyala. The mist remained in the other halls to create some confusion to help create time for her to do what she desire. Stretching a little, her arms reached upwards; her back twisted side to side at the same time. Then she turned to face the child with questions. Her eyes looked over the armored girl. In cold, detached voice, the answer came. “Everywhere in the force.”

Then an idea came up that might help her understand this area. Petra might have come across a facility that ancient force users had used. She knew others had cross paths of such places. Just maybe she did too and brought others in by accident. She thought about it while keeping an eye on Kiyala. The other was on the rest and manipulating the mist to guide others like leading the Vessia sisters to each other and Minerva with her new friend to Isley while the blind witch was led to Petra. All by clearing the mist and thickening it in other directions. The cold, moist mist would also hint to danger and darkness as the wielder was as evil.

The rhythmic tapping her he staff as she walked was the only sound that came. There was for a moment she thought a distant sound of voices but even straining her ears it wasn't there. Or maybe it had been but she couldn't tell as the mists around her became something... solid something twisted and dark. Colder then she would have ever thought could be produced here as it dissipated elsewhere and became solid in other places. The lick of darkness and evil something she knew full well but could not place. There had only ever been one nightsister she knew on Dathomir and that one hadn't been around that much. Her time had been around witches and jedi after Dorano's little group disbanded.

Now her staff was making the clinking sound from the rings and decoration on her as she walked following the path that was created for her while her senses worked to reach out and expend beyond the mists... With minimal efforts. She could and knew there were others the same way your brain knows there are predators lurking in the shadows waiting to eat you, how you knew when some intended hostile actions. Her face though remained neutral when she finally felt something more and it was just as cold, wicked and dark as the mist. Something that was in control of this place and their fates or maybe just was curious about who came to see. Much like a spider got curious about the flies on their webs. "And who are you?"

Kiyala paused for a moment confused as the manifestation of Petra she had seen must have been an illusion because it slowly disappeared from her sight. She sighed while opening herself up to the force and her force sight pierced through the darkness around her and she saw the dark side for what it was. Looking into the darkness was always like a void but only she could feel her purpose within it no matter how she may feel about it. Her senses alerted her to the fight others were in this mist as well drawn by whatever beacon that had caused them all to converge among the same path. She was no longer on edge because no matter the form the force sight allowed her to acutely be aware of those around her. She kept both of her lightsabers on call mentally as she entered a narrow pathway, a part of her grew tired of the mind games Petra was playing with her.

In fact, she was not even going to play these games anymore as she immediately stopped and called out "Enough! Reveal yourself! I am no longer a child who needs or should be tested I've joined the realm of the Goddesses." With that she calmly inhaled accessing her own power allowing it to be channeled through her Sith Amulet before extending her hand out chanting a few words in Paecian as she extended her armored fingers at first a small spark of fire burst into existence and with simply hand motions she watched as it grew to the size of a small probe droid and lift above her effectively illuminating the area enough that her armor's HUD display could better adjust to the room. "I'm not the same Kiyala anymore either." She found herself saying as she kept her control on bare limits in case the tests were not over.

It was getting under her skin. The talking objects did not change their song and dance at all. That was making her feel emotions which were ones that she did not visit at all. Knowing what was coming and how exactly it was coming gave her a sense of being untouchable. Dharma now walked through a new field that had fear and panic. If that was not enough, clearing of mist and new glowing light told her that she was truly not alone where ever she was at. Hand squeezed her saber as she moved closer to see who it was. A smirk formed when she got a better view of who it was. Still prepared for attack, Dharma said with a mocking, “Hello little sister.”

Clearing of mist made it easier to have her saber light the way while remaining on alert. There still was a feeling of it all being unnatural. Amari thought it over of what place she could be at while she moved forward. The mist was not like the trial grounds and layout seemed different. She ruled it out and left her with the unknown. That lack of knowledge had her looking back into the past for hints of what it could. However, it was cut short when another found her. One that she did not know was there or why. One that after speaking had Amari swinging her saber at, her older sister had been an enemy for so long that Amari just naturally reacted with attacking.

The words uttered by the Mandalorian fell upon deaf ears...or so he thought...At first, there was nothing save the echo of his voice bouncing across the halls, but then a chill raced along the length of his spine. He felt a presence, strong...and ancient by his estimation, suddenly surge forth from deeper within the corridor. In but the blink of an eye, this presence manifested itself as mist, purple in hue, that obstructed his vision. It was then that instinct took over and Isley reached for the saberstaff which was resting within his utility belt, pulling it into his grasp. Such a presence, characterized by sheer power, would possibly pose a threat to his status of being alive..."Alright, who's there?! I'm in no mood for games!" he demanded, with his voice boldly echoing throughout the halls.

And, as if to respond to his words, the mist before him cleared up ever so slightly. He began to tread down this direction, cautiously and slowly, until the mist began to thicken again. The Mandalorian turned, glaring into the purple until he saw it clear up again; this time leading to an adjacent corridor. Common sense dictated that whoever was controlling this mist was utilizing it to guide him along the path...and so Isley would play along for the moment. He followed the clearest part of the mist until he heard footsteps and voices, then called aloud once more. "Who's out there? Hello?!"

Petra gave a simple smile towards the younger woman. Keeping the smile, she stepped closer. The glow from the flames made the smile appear wicked than it needed to be. There was no malice in her voice but it was very motherly when she finally spoke. “With time, we all become different from who we were… but once you have children yourself and reach hundredth of my age, you’ll understand why I’ll always will see you as a child.” Then turned around and took a few steps. As she did because another was coming with making clinking sounds, she added to her remarks. “Too many call themselves deities, sweetie… Their falsehoods are what ended their lives. It might be best to reexamine that one.”

Then her tone went friendlier as their new guest came closer. Question given and in a cheery way, Petra responded. “I am known as Petra and the young woman behind me is Kiyala.” Looking over the witch with the staff, Petra found somethings interesting. She felt the force and examine the witch with her senses and force. Which led her to add, “Who might you be as one that has the force flowing through them, not using it to see is an interesting means of existing?”

That was an interesting thing to say and Lavania stopped several feet from the two while she held the staff and tapped lightly in it with her finger. Calculating more thoughts then she needed mostly about the situation. She had met Kiyala before and while brief did recognize her presence in the force but there had to be more to it then that. "I am Lavania formerly of the nightsisters and with the force I can see fine but it should not be used to the detriment of other skills. Relying to much on anything can prove dangerous and a crutch." The look remained on her mouth as the headdress covered her eyes but she had heard the name Petra in whispers and was now on edge, it wasn't often someone appeared who was considered powerful showed up.
