TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Kusari-gama Type Lightsaber
  • Size: Very Large
  • Weight: Very Heavy
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Yellow Kyber crystal
  • Ornate hilt design, Consisting of a short hilted Lightsaber Shoto attached to a segmented telescoping chain that can extend, and retract due to responding to the owner via it's Force Imbued Nature, with a bladed weight at the end , enabling entrapping, ensnaring defenses and counter attacks
  • Hilt possesses built in magnetic grapple, enabling user to use it to use the hilt to cling to objects when active.
  • Force Imbued Chain grinds Lightning excellently, and allows for the channeling of certain Force Powers
STRENGTHS
  • Tangled Web: The nature of its thick segmented chain has been expertly crafted and Force Imbued to respond to Nathan's will alone via imbuing the aspect of telekinesis into the weapon metal extending, or retracting the entirety of its ten meter length, and manipulating it around the body (Giving the fighting style used for this some similarities to the fighting style used by Vong Warriors when wielding Amphistaffs) theoretically providing superb entrapment techniques and defenses that can possibly confuse traditional duelists. In addition it's Force Imbuement renders it exceptionally difficult to cut with Lightsabers or damage with conventional weapons. (Indeed it would take days of a standard Lightsaber hitting it non stop before it would show even slight scratch damage). The nature of its Imbuement renders it also potentially exceptionally difficult for an enemy to manipulate with telekinesis...the weapon is bonded very tightly to Nathan, and wrapping it in a thick way around a limb or is torso can even provide a minor armoring of that area
  • Weight: The bladed weight at the other end can be almost as deadly as the lightsaber itself and carries heavy kinetic impact when being used to strike, and blade on the weight is sharp enough to potentially slice through not only conventional materials but possibly through non alchemized or non Force imbued Lightsaber resistant materials as well
  • Grabber: Built into the hilt of the Shoto is is a magnetic grapple device, allowing the user to use the full length as a rope to climb up or swing from
  • Holy Hilt: The imbued chain grinds Lightning so well the User is in virtually no danger of being electrocuted while holding it and is capable of channeling certain Force Powers through it's entire length:
Pyrokinesis, for example. Will respond to any attempt by the user to imbue it with incendiary effects (and not respond to enemies who attempt the same). The entire chain's swings becoming imbued with heavy, damaging flames for a few short moments that can possibly melt through most conventional materials that are struck by it.

Force Light can be momentarily imbued into the weapon for a few short moments, empowering the attached lightsaber to possibly inflict damage on Objects empowered by the Force/Dark Side

WEAKNESSES
  • Force Voids: Will not function in Force Voids
  • Blast Deflection: The "chain" it self can deflect but only by holding the chain in an awkward, specific way in battle, and the Shoto itself can't deflect as well due to having to keep the weighted chain in mind
  • Odd approach: The blade is often wielded like the real life Kusari-gama, in that the weighted blade-end is most often used first to entrap, attack or ensnare, with the actual Lightsaber-Shoto attached to it is then used to finish off a potential victim. It requires constant momentum when not actively controlling it with the mind, which can be quite taxing to do for extended periods, which is basically the only time the Shoto is used first
  • Power Attacks: Direct overhead power Attacks on the chain itself have a chance of ripping the weapon out of the user's hands.
  • Cortosis: The lightsaber blade shuts off when exposed to pure Cortosis
  • Water: No bifurcation-Pulse tech means it shuts off when exposed to water
  • Dark Side: Dark Side powers like Bolt of Hatred, or Waves of darkness can render the metal vulnerable and brittle. Force Sabers can cut through the chain in a few blows
  • Heavy: Swinging such a heavy chain around can be taxing and tiring in combat after a prolonged period
DESCRIPTION

Once the remaining end of a Temple Guard Lightsaber Pike that had gotten one half of it destroyed in the assault on Bloodscrawl Castle, Nathan would go on to modify this weapon during his time as a homeless fugitive from Ession during the Gulag Plague, empowering the chain with his instinctive knowledge of Force Imbuement. He would wield the chain weapon for a full year and a half after taking the name of "Morris Crownwraithe" before he was discovered by the De Lifte Family Jedi Order .

Nathan never wielded the weapon again after a certain point, taking up the study of Lightsaber spears under the tutelage of his Master, Moya De Lifte, however, he remembers it like the back of his hand, and even decades and decades after it's initial use he is still capable of using this weapon to devastating effect.
