OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Astronomical Location Name: Moon 134
  • Classification: Moon.
  • Location: lego, one of the planet's 1,000 moons.
  • Rotational Period: 24 hours.
  • Orbital Period: 365 days.
  • Size: Medium, Moon 134 is a relatively large astronomical object and moon, though not nearly as large as the planet that it orbits.
  • Affiliation:
    • Publicly, Moon 134 is owned by Advanced Technological Industries to serve as a testbed for their various models of starfighters and starcraft, as the moon's unique environment enables ATI to test the durability and reliability of their designs. In reality, Moon 134 is really controlled by the Sith Lord Maestus, who has agreed to provide the Imperial Remnant with research and biological weapons in a similar manner to the agreement between them and Zavik Maltheris.
  • Population: Sparse, Moon 134 possesses a small contingent of Advanced Technological Industries employees to give Maestus and their company the veneer of credibility that it needs in order to keep operating without anyone looking too closely at it. Beyond that, Moon 134 does not possess any form of native life, and any organic beings that live on the moon have been brought there by Maestus.
  • Demographics: Whatever organic and inorganic beings live on Moon 134 have been brought there by Maestus as employees of Advanced Technological Industries. As such, their isn't any one dominant race or species that lives on the moon, and those who inhabit Moon 134 are subject to change at any time, depending on what Maestus may need at the moment.
  • Accessibility: Because the planet Iego is rather isolated and out of the way, accessing Moon 134 can be quite challenging. Furthermore, as a part of the thousand moons orbiting the planet, actually finding the moon within the plethora of celestial bodies around Iego can be quite difficult. Any restrictions on visiting the moon itself are subject to Maestus themself, though Imperial authorities have permission to visit the moon completely unannounced should they wish to do so.
  • Description: A particularly nasty and brutal moon, Moon 134 contains a large amount of chlorine in its atmosphere and caustic pools of acid all over its surface, making it the kind of place few organic beings would ever dare to visit for any reason, especially considering its dangerous Type III atmosphere. Yet, the unusual environmental conditions of Moon 123 also proved to be an excellent testing ground for the starfighters of Advanced Technological Industries, who could use the moon's unique properties to test out the reliability and durability of their designs in extreme atmospheric and ground conditions before being approved for large scale construction and usage across the galaxy.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Much of Moon 134 is covered in pools of acid and chlorine, which can easily corrode even the most durable mechanical systems after prolonged exposure.
  • Furthermore, nearly all of Moon 134's atmosphere also contains copious amounts of chlorine, making breathing nearly impossible for all but the most resilient species. Breath masks are mandatory for anyone traveling across the surface of the planet for any reason.
  • Despite the danger of living on the moon, Advanced Technological Industries has constructed a series of complexes all across Moon 134. Living quarters, testing chambers, corporate offices and storage facilities dot the surface of Moon 134, all coated in layers of Anti-Corr 113 to prevent the corrosive atmosphere of Moon 134 from compromising the structural integrity of these various buildings. Yet the most important buildings on Mon 134 are not the ones built on its surface but rather the secret laboratories constructed underground at the bequest of Maestus.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

When the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant completed its conquest of the Iego system, it suddenly found itself in possession of over a thousand different moons, all of which orbited the rogue planet Iego and were just as mysterious and diverse as Iego itself. Though the Imperial Remnant found immediate use for a small number of these moons, most were judged to be too insignificant to warrant any serious attempts to develop. Instead, the Imperial Remnant decided to offer the galactic community the ability to purchase individuals moons to do with as they might see fit.

Moon 134 is nearly uninhabitable astronomical object, as its atmosphere contains high levels of chlorine and its surface pools of acid and other corrosive liquids. Sporting no native life, Moon 134 was ignored for much of its existence until Advanced Technological Industries inquired about purchasing the moon for itself. The harsh environment and difficult atmospheric conditions made Moon 134 an excellent location for testing the durability, reliability and resilience of their various models of starships and starfighters.

Yet, there is more to Moon 134 than meets the eye, as buried underneath its surface are various bunkers and laboratories owned, operated and run by Maestus, who like Zavik Maltheris seeks to engage in all sorts of diabolical research and create untold numbers of monstrous creations to serve her and carry out her will, though as part of the terms of her ownership of Moon 134, she is obligated to provide the Imperial Remnant with a fixed quantity of these creatures each and every month.
