"Do you think birds enjoy the cages we put them in? Do you think they would know where to go if we set them free?"

Born on the Dark-twisted world of Dathomir, it came as no surprise in her youth when Mogs discovered she held an innate affinity for The Force. It called to her from an early age, ever-present, and ever distant, but never was she truly able to grasp its power and wield it to the potential she possessed. Unsure if taking the route of joining The Sith or Jedi was right for her, she shrugged off this unspoken responsibility and instead sought to capitalize on one thing she did hold mastery over: charm.

She set eyes for the stars beyond the murky sky, chasing after a dream of sorts she had only begun to formulate.

Bouncing from planet to planet, she found a considerable deal of success as a dancer in various clubs and casinos, though noticeably, her nomadic spirit never seemed content to settle anywhere at all. She was restless and irritated, caught between delighting in her lavish life of comfort, and yearning for thrill and adventure. The underbelly to such a life, however, got the better of her, and the line became blurred when she was forced to mix a life of pleasured comfort with the ruthlessness of a guard to defend not only her associates and friends in the business but herself as well. Not everything was glitter and electrum- a lesson she learned the hard way.

Growing more and more comfortable gazing down the sights of a blaster, after a time, only served to reignite the embers of her wanderlust.

Due to this restlessness, the woman took up mercenary work, offering her gunslinging prowess for hire to any who may find it beneficial. It was when the late Darth Avernus recruited her to work in the grandiose, high-brow club on-board his roaming pleasure ship that she found some moderate degree of balance between her life as a dancer, and her work as a mercenary.

Headlining in The Opulence, the lethan remained there until the Sith Lord was slain during an operation by the New Imperial Order.

And all the while, The Force never ceased in its perpetual call to her, no matter how often she managed to push it down and tried to forget about it.

With fate up in the air and her unwillingness to relinquish her freedom or wait for someone else to decide for her, Mogra'teksa jumped ship and turned her back on her previous career entirely, choosing the life of a mercenary over the pampered life of a dancer in order to quell the longing she felt in her chest for a life between the stars.

And it was through a job on Nyriaan that she inevitably found her fate. Hired to relieve the mines of their precious ore, the twi'lek delved into the subterranean darkness alone, foolishly in a time the world was under heavy conflict by both the New Imperials and the Sith. She was caught in a tug-of-war between two forces she wasn't particularly fond of or allied with. A dangerous venture, to be sure, and the danger was made manifest when an Imperial Knight happened upon her by herself. A confrontation broke out between the two as Cewr Ara tested her, sensing she was Force Sensitive.

The bloody brawl concluded and the Imperial Knight took her under his wing, serving as her Master with the aim to train and refine her skills with The Force and teach her the discipline of the New Imperial Order.

Mogra'teksa reluctantly accepted this less-than-polite "request" with the hope it would settle the constant turmoil she has lived burdened under for as long as she can remember.

Lithe, flirtatious, and absolutely full of vibrant life, Mogra'teksa is the sort of company nearly anyone can find some level of merit in. Whether it was enjoying what she offers in her nightly shows, running and gunning with criminals nipping at heels, or carefully snaring a bounty mark to secure a hefty payout, time with her rarely feels dull or uneventful. Her smile is disarming, her motions alluring, and the soothing purr of her voice drips from between her lips as liquid velvet, daring to make silent promises without a second thought.

Of course, just the same as any other bewitching force, Mogra'teksa possesses two faces; a clever dichotomy crafted to place her precisely where she wants to be when she desires to be there. Having served the finer clubs in the galaxy had its many perks- wealth cast aside- and aided her in the collection of information she sought to sell to sources when she wasn't after answers or bounties herself, as well as developing a network of connections to use at her discretion. Quick on the draw and faster in her ability to read situations and predict the actions of others, Mogra'teksa found a rather modest deal of success in the underground as a gunslinger.

She struggles to adapt to the disciplined lifestyle of the New Imperial Order, especially its Force Corps (The Imperial Knights), though she's determined and resolute to see it through to the end, and finally earn a place she considers home.

The twi'lek stands five-foot-nine inches tall and fills her frame with the expected curvature of one with her former career. Her skin is a rich maroon hue and is decorated by a number of dark, traditional tattoos to compliment and accentuate her features. Frequently, she wears lighter armors and garbs, preferring leather or cloth to maintain her mobility and agility in combat, where her prowess and guile serve her to the best of their capacity.

What she lacks in strength and physical power, she more than makes up for
with cunning and wit, always on the hunt for ways to out-smart and out-maneuver
her opponents and gain the advantage.

  • Headstrong - She's fully aware of what she wants, and rarely, does she let anything or anyone get in her way of reaching it.
  • Resilient - Never one to stay down, even when it's in her best interest to do so, Mogra'teksa doesn't throw in the towel easily. She'll keep getting back up, over and over, until she absolutely can do so no longer.
  • Humble - While she may be unnecessarily stubborn, she is willing to swallow her pride when appropriate to learn from those who know better than she does.
  • Humorous - Even in bleak, grim situations, it isn't out of character for her to crack a joke or ten to try and lighten things up a bit... even though her humor tends to be rather dark.
  • Chaotic Stupid - She has one whole brain cell sometimes. And that brain cell is usually pinging around the inside of her skull like a tennis ball.
  • Passionate - Desire and emotions tend to get the better of her at times, warping her judgment and causing her to act recklessly.
  • Skeptical - Her time working in the underground has left her with a less-than-healthy level of suspicion towards other people. She doesn't trust easily, nor does she expect to be trusted easily.
  • Blunt - Is there a filter between her brain and her mouth? Probably not. Are you stupid? She'll make sure you know.

  • Cycler Rifle - A rather antique weapon, but one that's more than earned her trust all the same. This long-ranged rifle serves Mogs on her less-common tasks and missions in offering long-range support for her allies and eliminating targets from afar. How she happened across this rifle is surely a story.
  • The Twins - Most often, when toting her pistols, she wields two in tandem. Mastery over this skill has enabled her to keep consistent, decently accurate shots on her targets with both weapons for as long as her charges allow her to.
  • A cracked, spent Kyber Crystal hangs from a leather cord around her neck though it's often unseen and kept protected by tucking it inside of her shirts or chestguards.
  • Armguards forged from genuine beskar she earned as a reward for a gig are always on her person, regardless of the other gear or attire she may be wrapped in. These pieces are painstakingly polished and maintained, revealing their worth to the woman.

I absolutely adore this character concept. She'll have to come dance at Sikara's casino on Cato Neimoidia at some point.
