DESCRIPTION
Formed in early 861 ABY by Prelate Sedith Dinn of Lorrd, Moberan Fabricant is a state-owned enterprise belonging directly to the Prelate of Lorrd. Operating out of the Pit of Moberan, its employees are synonymous with the researchers of the pit, however, MF also employs a number of droids to aid in the fabrication of prototype and limited run technologies. As an apparatus of the state, Moberan is also charged with arming and supplying the Lorrd Security Force with all of the technologies used to do their duties. While they had not been officially formed by the time of its construction, many of its researchers and technicians worked on the Kabor-Class Mobile Command Center and often accredit their formation to the success of the project.

On the moon of Lorrd II, a secondary facility lacking any official designation was used to construct vessels as well as technologies deemed 'too dangerous' to be made on the surface of Lorrd itself.

RATIONALE
As the Prelate of Lorrd, Sedith declared the formation of the company to assume direct control and responsibility over the technological monopoly swiftly developing on Lorrd. With the government at the head, it was possible to ensure that the significant revenue now flowing into Lorrd was funneled into the government opposed to the pockets of a private citizen; this allowed Sedith to repay the significant debts that had been incurred as a result of the Kabor-class project and slowly raise the planetary standard of living.

In addition to economic reasons, there was a deep sense of pride in the move. Sedith, himself a proud Lorrdian, wanted to both leave behind a legacy worth speaking of and do his best to ensure the future survival of his people. With times so uncertain, a level of independence from the Sith enabled Lorrd's people to support and defend themselves if cut off from the rest of the Empire.
