OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
[+] Undetectable: The DDHL Encryption System significantly decreases the likelihood of security breach detection in targeted systems.
[+] Rapid Response: Thanks to the advanced targetting and priority selection systems utilized in this jammer, the MN-77 is capable of extremely fast response times to potential threats, allowing it to jam fast moving objects within short periods of time.
[+] Selective: The MN-77 identifies and stops targets in order of priority, disabling the more dangerous threats first.
Weaknesses:
[-] One by one: The MN-77 can only jam one system at a time, allowing multiple incoming threats to overwhelm it's jamming capabilities.
[-] Situational: The MN-77 'DJ' is only useful in certain scenarios, due to the fact that it was designed with a very small specialization in mind. This makes it efficient at jamming incoming throwables, but it isn't useful for jamming broadband signals and transmissions.
[-] Hypermodern: The 'DJ' relies on the targetted systems to be of a modern design, being capable of disabling only those throwables that rely on internal signal transmission. Ancient designs such as fuzes and basic countdown timers are not affected by this system.
DESCRIPTION
The MN-77 'DJ' Directional Jammer was created by the Confederate Military Design Bureau to be used in Dauntless Legion armor suits as a countermeasure to throwables such as grenades and thermal detonators. The system uses a special signal encryption algorithm that allows it to mimick an internal part of the targetted unit, initiating a digital handshake between the jammer and the targetted system, then cutting off the pairing sequence, before looping back to the beginning of the digital handshake, thus trapping the target in an infinite loop, preventing any meaningful communication between said system's components. This allows the jammer to disable the modern detonators within grenades and thermal detonators by interrupting their detonation sequence, potentially preventing them from exploding when jammed by the MN-77. This provides Dauntless Armor suits with protection against throwables, helping protect the Dauntless Legion's troopers from yet another type of threat.
- Intent: To create a directional jammer to be used in Dauntless Armor.

- Primary Source: N/A
- Manufacturer: CIS
- Affiliation: CIS, Dauntless Legion
- Model: MN-77 Directional Jammer
- Modularity: Can be integrated into various types of armor.
Production: Mass Produced
- Material: Durasteel, Fiber Optics, Circuitry, Signal Emmiter antennas.
- DDHL (Disrupted Digital Handshake Loop) Encryption System: Jams enemy signals by initiating a digital pairing handshake sequence, then looping back to the beginning, without ending the handshake, thus trapping the system in an endless loop.
- Advanced Priority Selection System: Allows the unit to identify and prioritise incoming threats, jamming the highest priority targets first.
