Mk I Omicron Tactical Assault Armour (OTAA)

Intent: To create a combat suit of armour for the CEO of Omega Pyre. This armour reflects the fighting style and mentality of Tegaea and the company. It is designed to give protection from ordinary attacks and from environmental hazards, but not lightsabres or other esoteric weapons.
Development Thread: If needed.
Hero Unit: Yes
Manufacturer: Omega Munitions
Model: Assault Armour
Affiliation: Omega Pyre
Modularity: Yes; replacement weapons on the wrists, changing the jetpack for extra air tanks, adding different filters/targeters to the helmet HUD, plates can be camouflaged.
Production: Unique
Material: Duraplast
Description: Combat armour in the galaxy has come a long way since the Clone Wars but fundamentally the majority are useless against lightsabres and heavy blaster weapons. Tegaea, as CEO of Omega Pyre, saw that the cost of creating such a suit would be prohibitive as it would have to be constructed of extremely rare materials.
Instead the OTAA is a set of armour designed to fit in with her combat style and company ethos. The armour is designed to give protection from all but the harshest environments, good defence against common weapons, and the added manoeuvrability of a jetpack.
Strengths:
  • Highly mobile and easy to move in. Tegaea can move almost as freely as without it when it is properly fitted. The jetpack allows her to tactically move during battle.
  • Contains useful integrated systems and weapons.
  • Very strong against common weapons and against environmental damage.
  • Designed to work excellently with the Omega Boltgun, providing stability and aim.
Weaknesses:
  • Almost no resistance to lightsabres.
  • Does not grant additional strength or speed.
  • Cumbersome to get into and out of.
  • Jetpack steering can be tricky.
Classification: Anti-Blaster, Anti-Ballistic, Tactical Assault.
Weight: 50kg unloaded. 65kg including all add-ons. This weight is well distributed, and the armour includes responsive servos to help her move. Even if this was taken out though Tegaea is still able to move fully, though slower.
Quality: 3 vs. lightsabres (deflection resistance only). 9 vs. slugthrowers/shrapnel. 7 vs. blasters (resist most personal weapons with little harm). 9 vs. normal melee weapons. 7 vs. vibro/powered weapons.
Other Feature(s):
  • Jetpack built into the back. Jetpack has ten minute’s fuel, so is only suitable for tactical repositioning.
  • Two of the following can be mounted on the wrists (one for each arm): Holoprojector and commlink with surface to orbit transceiver. Single use flamethrower. Dart launcher (for subduing targets). Vibro-knife.
  • Boots can be magnetised for zero-gravity movement.
  • Helmet contains voice controlled HUD with different views (infrared, thermal), also contains data display and access to internal processor. All of this is voice controlled with no ‘intelligent’ features. Helmet also contains surface to orbit transmitting commlink.
  • Suit contains air tank holding thirty minute’s oxygen. Jetpack can be removed and replaced with 3 hour tank which in turn can be swapped out on the go with help.
  • Spare clips, rations, etc can be stored in leg pouches or around the belt. Normal loadout is two grenades on one leg, spare blaster pistol clip on the other, two boltgun clips and three day’s rations around belt.

Because I'm a plant.
On paper this seems like it does alot of stuff. But for the most part it seems almost the same as a souped up version of ARC trooper Armor. Given that it is unique I'll approve it. Just watch out when RPing your Supa Armor you know? The eyes of the RPJ are upon you..... *stares*

Approved.
