SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Stealth: One of the primary functions of this armour is its Personal cloaking device, which may render the wearer near invisible to the naked eye. In addition, it is equipped with a Taozin amulet, which blurs the wearer’s presence in the Force and makes it easier to avoid detection. The outer layers of the armour were treated with reflect to provide another, passive layer against detection.
  • Armour: The torso-protection and helmet of this armour is constructed from plates of phrik, making the kit light and extremely durable. The helmet’s outer shell is made from solid phrik plating, while the torso protection is made up of a solid chest piece and a back piece, shaped to her body. The layered armourweave elements on the remains of the body protect from blasters and blades, but offer significantly less protection than the solid plates. The armour comes with light plasteel gauntlets and vambraces, made with focus on articulation over protection.
  • Helmet: Besides its phrik plating, the helmet has a HUD, integrated coms, and enhanced optic suite, as well as thermal gel to protect the head from kinetic force. The helmet may also be fitted with an external oxygen source.
  • Shield: In addition to the passive protection, the armour is equipped with a SI-PES Defender shield, which provides an effective, albeit temporary, secondary layer of defence against ranged weapons in case of emergency.
  • Utility: The armour comes with many pockets, and a well made utility belt that hides the force signature of items stored within it.
STRENGTHS
  • Hard Shell: The phrik casing encases the wearer’s chest and back, stopping just above the natural waist, in a protective, metal shell. Phrik can stand up to even a direct strike from a lightsabre, and most blasters or slugs. Through layers of armourweave, the armour provides notable protection against blades and blasters, and even resistance to glancing blows of a lightsabre.
  • Stealth: The armour’s extensive stealth suites renders the wearer either difficult to detect or virtually invisible. This allows a wearer to sneak up on opponents or escape combat altogether.
  • Movement: The armour was shaped with mobility in mind. Using light materials and minimal hard protection, it allows the wearer great range of movement and low cost of stamina.
WEAKNESSES
  • Missed a Spot: While the wearer’s chest and head are well protected, other vital areas like the neck, hips, legs, arms, and wrists are far less guarded. While the armourweave can take considerable punishment, it cannot stand up to a direct hit from a lightsabre.
  • Electrical Fault: The personal stealth generator cannot keep a lightsabre hidden without overloading its systems. As such, it will shut down once a lightsabre is activated. To reactivate, the lightsabre must be shut off.
  • EMP/Ion: To save weight, the armour is not protected against EMP or Ion attacks. A successful hit would shut down most electronic systems, including the stealth suite.
DESCRIPTION
Darth Ophidia is an artisan far more than a technician; her tools are made to last, not to jump on the latest fashions. She commissioned her previous armour when she served the One Sith, and has worn it to battle ever since. Now, at the crux of a new Sith Empire, she commissioned her second battle armour to update her convictions and improve the flaws of her old armour.

The first thing Darth Ophidia decided was to exchange the heavy beskar with lighter Phrik. She also slimmed down the amount of metal in the armour, affording her more movement while still providing protection in the most vital regions. The cut in weight allowed her to increase the protectiveness of the soft layers and the utilities of her helmet. Another vital change to the new set of armour was the inclusion of several utility items she had acquired in the meantime, such as the tsariquira belt and the SI-PES shield. One final improvement from the original to the updated armour was that the MKII armour could also be made spaceworthy, an oversight that had long limited her. The modification must be made before combat (Before a thread), but an external oxygen tank may be attached rapidly.

As a light armour, it sacrifices protection for agility. However, in the scope of light armours, it is on the heavier side. This means it feels heavier and limits the wearer from reaching the peak of acrobatic combat, but provides greater protection for the vitals.

The stealth systems cover most bases, obscuring her presence to most sensors with reflec, and diffusing her presence in the Force with a taozin nodule. The crux of the system, the personal stealth generator, may render the wearer invisible, save for a faint oscillation in the air when they move quickly. The ability to hide without utilising the Force allows the wearer to sneak up on most opponents and attack them unawares, giving the wearer a distinct upper hand. However, the system can only take so much before shutting down.
