Let Me Drown


Elias squinted at the data on his terminal, still not quite sure what to make of it. It was scrambled in a cipher he'd never seen before. The only thing he had to go on was its strange point of origin: Fresia. He'd come here, to the Jedi Archives on Coruscant, to consult the Order's records on the world. Perhaps, even, to recruit a hand in his investigation.
He looked to his archivist droid, KT-77, with uncertainty.
"Fresia?" he asked again. The droid's blue eyes gently pulsated.
"Fresia," she echoed. "A temperate Core world covered in oceans and archipelagos. And..." she trailed off, as if something had clicked in her mind. Most of her databanks were damaged or erased entirely when the Sullust temple fell all those years ago, but every once in a while, something came back to the droid.
She tilted her head, intrigued by her own recollection.
"It seems I recall a Sith presence on that world... although I am unable to place exactly what it entailed. I apologize, Master Edo."
The Jedi Master glanced over his shoulder, hoping Katie hadn't drawn too much attention with her revelation. With the Alliance on the brink of another war, it wouldn't do well to announce the possibility of a Sith remnant in the Core. But even so, he was sure that a particular Knight nearby had overheard them...
