SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Capable of launching rockets without involving electronics. Capable of launching slugs without electronics.
  • Electronical aim-system that can help setting up guided missiles.
  • Can launch a plethora of different items
STRENGTHS
  • Not necessarily reliant on electronics: Even without electronics, the launcher can still function.
  • Versatile: Can launch almost anything. Missiles and rockets are the most well suited candidates, but the MEAT launcher is highly capable of launching almost any item which can fit into its barrel as a deadly and highly destructive projectile, whether it be an apple or an artillery shell. This means that a person using the launcher will be capable of continuing using it after their original ammunition has run out.
  • Aim-guide: The electronic aim-guide can help a user aim more accurately which can be particularly helpful when using projectiles which were not intended to be fired from a launcher. It can also aid with the lock-on for missiles, allowing the MEAT launcher to counter threats both on land and in the air.
  • Non-encumbering: The launcher is very light and small which means that it is relatively easy to carry and transport. For a force wishing to bring anti-tank capabilities, it is therefore possible to bring numerous MEAT launchers instead of a single one.
  • Powerful: It fires with tremendous force which makes it excellent for its purpose of countering armour.
WEAKNESSES
  • Low capacity: Has to be reloaded after every single shot.
  • Crippling recoil: Its light weight and powerful blast ensures that the recoil is tremendous. Unless fired from a proper stance, the risk of the operator hurting themselves is high.
  • Not all things are meant to be launched: Certain things, such as tissue rolls will be inefficient when launched because of their fragile and low-density nature. Other objects, such as instable grenades, have a risk of exploding upon being launched instead of upon arrival which is deadly for the user.
  • EMP/ion: The aim-guide system is reliant on electronical processes. If the launcher is hit with an EMP/ion effect, it will have to rely on the user's own capabilities of aiming their weapons which can be problematic for some and will most likely reduce their efficiency.
DESCRIPTION
Growing better at crafting weapons and the like, Mathieu Brion tried his hand at creating a versatile launcher for the Silver Jedi Concord. Once it was proven to be effective, production was moved to Phaseera Manufacturing. The name stems from the small nature of the launcher and how the user could risk minimal exposure when firing it. Naturally, they needed to maintain a good stance in order to not get hurt by the recoil, but in general, they could stay relatively low whilst mostly just exposing the rocket.

Side note: The abbreviation 'MEAT Launcher' was a pure coincidence!

This was not the only way in which exposure was minimised. The aim-aid system ensured that the user would have an easy and fast time acquiring their target and aiming the launcher correctly. What this resulted in was a capability for the users to quickly pop up, fire the weapon and then return to cover. The system was good for other things, such as calculating the angle at which the MEAT Launcher should be directed when firing irregular objects. It would also interface with guided missiles and aid with the target-lock.

With both the need to reload after every shot and the need to be prepared for heavy recoil, it could be hard to use the weapon consistently for extended fights. This could also be seen in the design philosophy at large - while it functioned perfectly well with rockets and missiles, it could also launch other projectiles when those ran out - naturally less effectively than when it could still fire specifically designed projectiles. This did, however, also mean that the launcher was particularly well suited for extended fights, seeing as it could still function when conventional ammunition had run out and even if hit by an EMP.

With its low-encumbrance nature, this weapon could easily be carried by a number of people in the same team which could give them a better burst capacity when fighting armoured units compared to if they only had one dedicated specialist. And for this purpose, it was highly effective as it combined well with its high stopping power. Together, these factors made it an excellent anti armour weapon.
