Miner's Malady | First Order Weekend Roleplay

It was supposed to be a simple visit.

An in-depth tour of the restored Mensix Mining Facility, going into great detail about the invasion of the volcanic world by the First Order a few years ago; then, an equally boring reception over at some long-dead Sith Lord's castle or whatever, all you knew was that the drinks were going to be free for the night. Granted, at this point, you probably would've preferred said reception to your current predicament, because now there was blood being spilt and lives being taken before your very eyes.

During a heated discussion between the guide and some history buff about the tactics of the First Imperial Army, seemingly innocuous Mustafarian miners brandished some sort of repeating blaster and began to dispatch the few guards in the room. Naturally, you and several others were able to escape before they could act, but strangely enough, the last thing you saw before you darted around a corner was a yellow lizard attached to the back of each miner.

Passing by other rooms, you noticed corpses strewn around each of them, culminating in a terrible deduction that the entire facility had fallen victim to this massacre.

Only one thing remained true:

You needed to escape...or fight back...

"Lothia" TK-0023
Mensix Mining Facility

Lothia raises her shouldered G-11F Blaster Rifle, pressing her pauldron up against the bulkhead she peers around it from behind the corner with half a lense assessing the control booth for the recycling plant a pair of those possessed miners beat their limbs against the plexiglass partition that stood between them and a helpless gaggle of victims within, they are the first survivors the lone wolf that is Lothia had found within the Mensix Mining Facility since the incident first started and she'd separated herself from security personnel to investigate the on-site water recycling plant.

"What the hell?" Lothia's voice whisperers quietly studying the creatures that seem lodged into the possessed miner's spines with an outward hint of disgust. 'Are they feeding off of them?' Permitting herself to ponder the question for a moment she leans out and raises her rifle pulling one of the two deranged men into her sight picture, with the rifle set to semi-repeating Lothia's finger carefully squeezes the trigger back into the grip sending a rippling tibanna encased plasma field straight into the strange lizard clinging to that man's jacket. He let out a pained but relieved shriek of pain, looking in the direction of his attacker with a hopeful smile spreading across his lips with parting words "Thank you..." He rasped.

The second immediately turns and releases a furious screech and Lothia smiles defiantly and leaps from the Bulkhead out into plain view. "Come on ugly! I'm right here, come and get me!" The creature acquiesces to the Stormtrooper's challenge charging directly at the white-armoured warrior who smugly lowers her rifle. "Satyek! Kill!" Lothia let out a sharp whistle and the floor rumbles in a deep bestial growl, the several-hundred-kilogram albino Lothwolf darts out from behind its' 'Mother' and leaps through the air clasping its' monstrous maw entirely around the Miner's torso lifting the man effortlessly off the ground and slamming him wildly across the floor and against the wall repeatedly. Lothia calmly walks past the tall Sinewy Satyek and grunts when the miner's demonic screeching ceases with a sickening crack, she didn't need to glance back at the scene she knew it was dead although Lothia's emerald green spheres study the man who seemed to mouth a 'thanks' or thank you' at her and thought for a moment.

Approaching the control booth Lothia's left hand comes away from the rifle which she keeps raised and activates the intercomm. "Hello, this is Tee-Kay Twenty-Three. Please come to the Intercom, the facility has been compromised and we must evacuate immediately." One of the survivors, a thin-looking woman with shoulder-length brunette hair who appears shaken albeit composed moves towards the wall-mounted intercom within the control booth which from the outside looks like they'd attempted to fortify it to Lothia's green eyes. Now she steadily glances back to Satyek whose white fur had been stained crimson, he jealously guarded Lothia's flank peering up and down the hallway from the bulkhead watching hawkishly for more of the possessed fiends.

Was it Mustafar or Moostafar?

The Atrisian youngling had a datapad out, taking notes in Atrisian script for the history report he was supposed to assemble out of this field trip. There was a castle here that was rumored among the kids in his class to be important to [member="Kyrel Ren"], so he supposed that he ought to find a way to add it into his report...

Except it was like every other castle in the known universe. It was a building. Not even all that big of a building to be real with it. And it wasn't even the castle that was famous, it was the nerf herder who'd lived there. Some dead guy. Who'd been famous, for reasons.

The heat was crazy here. Like Xiaolang in August, only without the ocean breeze. Instead, the wind blowing felt like standing in front of a hair dryer on high. He had an over-the-ear style music player hanging around his neck. The youngling wore a lightweight jinbei that was woven out of zyed-cloth. It was very traditional, particularly for someone from Jar'Kai, though in lieu of the customary sandals the boy's feet were shod in a pair of Howlys -- which had the effect of making him appear an inch taller when he used them to repulsor-skate off the floor.

Head buried in the datapad, he was only vaguely paying attention to what the adults were doing. Heck, he was only paying enough attention to the adults so to try and get enough useless information to fill up the three pages required for this report so that he could put the homework away and then see if Mustafar had any good EndorMon he could collect while he was here.

When the shooting had broken out, so had all hell.

Tao looked up, just in time to see a wall of adult slam into him. The adults were stampeding and the youngling was getting bounced off them like a pinball. Meanwhile, blaster bolts were flying all over the place.

Something collided with him. There was a shower of sparks as Tao was knocked off his feet.

As the boy hit the floor, the datapad landed near his head. There was a smoking hole in it, nearly dividing the device in two. To which Tao could only stare in disbelief. Disbelief, and indignation.

He'd written two pages for that report already!

...well, just a page and a quarter. Maybe a third. But, that was his report he was going to have to re-type!

Kicking up from the floor, the youngling's lightsaber was snatched up. A red blade appeared, the child-sized shoto twirling as the boy popped back up to stand defiant in the ubiquitous Jedi Ready stance. "Ài chī zìjǐ de fèn!" the boy shouted, using a form of Atrisian that would have caused him to be grounded until he was 19 if Io had heard him.

Of course, Io was also where he'd learned the rather curious idiom from in the first place.

The sound of a dozen repeating blasters charging echoed in the room, as the child looked around and realized just how very outnumbered he was. "Go se..." the youngling swore, even as he started to take a step back. Then two steps back.

He'd just start running now.

One would think that a tour on such a historically significant planet such as Mustafar would have been interesting; but somehow, somehow, their guide managed to make about as interesting as watching paint dry. After the first ten minutes, Marriskcal has given up entirely on paying attention as their well-meaning guide diverted from his retelling for the third time to debate with one of the many guests that were invited to tour the restored facility.

And that was also about the time she had excused herself from the tour, slipping through one of the exits that lead to walkways outside. The smell of sulfur and heated air of the volcanic world greeted her as the durasteel door slid shut behind her, the usual hiss that accompanied the automatic action covered by the sound of bubbling and hissing of the lava river below. With most of her life spent on the mountains of Skye, and her assignments necessitating her to wear an armour, she was unused to the stifling temperature of her surroundings. Almost immediately, her skin felt damp.

With a soft huff, the blonde gathered her hair into a messy knot…

And that was when she felt the first of the deaths, the tiny flames of their presence in the force extinguishing.

Her gaze flickered to the left and right of the walkway she was standing on, her lips thinning into a displeased line as she swiftly moved away from the edge of the rails, hoping that no one has spotted her form. Though Marriskcal may not know exactly what was happening within the facility itself, she knew well enough that something was going wrong even as more lives continued to flicker out of existence. Insurgents? An invasion? Whichever it was, it did not matter, as she remembered a group of younglings that also following the tour earlier. And the initiate was not about to allow any harm to befall them if it’s within her power to do so.

She removed her lightsaber from her hip, the one crafted with the kyber crystal that was given to her as a present by Master Kyrel. As the crystal was attuned to its previous owner, it fought her even as she lit the blade, its blue plasma blade a discordant colour against the red cast of the lava. With a grim expression on her features, Marriskcal made her way back inside, her senses flaring out.

The woman licks her lips holding a pistol tightly in her right hand, gasping desperately relieved to be confronted with the sight of a First Imperial Soldier, the only one she had seen in-fact. "A Stormtrooper, thank the Gods. We were working in the water recycling and waste disposal facility when those men started banging on the Plexiglass trying to get in! Is everything alright? We haven't been able to detect any other active comm broadcasts, where has everybody gone?" Lothia thought the thirty-something-year-old Engineer looked frightened and was half-tempted to try and offer up some half-baked excuse for the onset of homicidal behaviour but decided against it, offering instead the unvarnished and brutal reality of their dangerous situation without hesitation in the hope that it would spring these survivors into action.

"Ma'am, I don't have much time to explain but most of the facility's employees and guards are either dead or hostile like those two." Lothia answered plainly in an accented albeit highly formal-sound voice, cocking helmeted head over shoulder towards the two dead men and blood-soaked floor. "I need you to gather the others with you and evacuate through the recycling facility's out-going plumbing, from there you should all be capable of reaching the Bastion of Ren on foot, do you know where that is?" Receiving a nod Lothia couldn't help but incline her helmet somewhat in respect for the woman's resilience thinking that they would have made a capable Soldier themselves if not for their present career choice, perhaps whatever was going on would provide an opportunity for contemplation of career change.

"Fill whatever containers you have with water, I'll follow you all out there but first I'm going to search the facility for more survivors and get them out. Transmit the access codes for the plant to my BIOCOMM device, I'll use them to enter the processing facility and egress with anybody else I find." Lothia brings finger off of the two-link wall mounted comlink switchboard and watches the woman make a few gestures at a wrist-mounted Personal Data Assistant before a prompt flashed onto her helmet-mounted display bearing an eight-digit access key for the plant. Lothia gives the woman a curt nod. "Thank you." Turning she raises rifle and takes a series of quick measured steps towards Satyek who remained attentive and alert stopping beside them and peering down both hallway directions.

The Engineer watches the Stormtrooper with a small smirk, they were the personification of bravery and selflessness to the weary and frightened Citizen, who goes to help an injured man onto his feet. "Be careful Trooper." Disappearing behind a sliding steel door on the other side of Plexiglass the survivors went to rally their shift-mates for departure deeper into the bowels of the Mensix mining facility where they might escape safely beyond the lava and mines' boundaries towards an ominous albeit conforting castle in the distance that waited to greet them.

"I'm always careful Ma'am." Pausing for a moment Lothia broadcasts an unencrypted message on the wide-band. "This is Tee-Kay
Twenty-Three to all First Order Citizens and Military Personnel of the Mensix Mining Facility. Radiocheck, over." Lothia uses one-hand to adjust her jet-pack mount before turning left on her boots and walking in the direction of Shield Generator room. The 'Mad' Stormtrooper intended to disable the fields and plunge the entire facility into the lava below to destroy whatever had possessed the Miners and whoever or whatever had unleashed them. Ruthless to be certain and Lothia resolved to defend her actions if necessary but she thought that permitting the potential spread of these creatures onto automated mining cargo freighters to other planetary facilities or off-world to First Imperial Holdings as unacceptable. "Hopefully somebody replies Satyek and I don't have to plunge this untenable slaughterhouse into the lava."

Seto blinked several times, his eyes scanned repeatedly but confusion filled his head as darkness was the only thing he saw. With an attempt to refocus his mind, he did some quick math Two plus two is five? He figured good enough as he lazily attempted to fix his darkness issue with his eyes. With a quick sensation of pain, Seto rolled over and finally realized he was thrown on the ground and now able to see, thanks to not being faced towards the ground anymore.

Distant blaster fire quickly ignited Seto's deeper survival instinct and he found himself on one knee and his other leg wobbly ready to push him back to a standing position. As both pain and blood flooded back into his head, Seto realized that he had just barely brought up a Force shield to cushion an explosion and Caused by what? Still fuzzy with the details, Seto shook his head and concerned himself with his current survival and predicament.

Memories began to filter through into his head, reasons for being here such as another party and no combat missions, and honestly Seto at this point could care less and noticed how incredibly unsuited he was for his current predicament. His lightsabers back on his ship and with no form of communication he found himself both alone and incredibly unlucky.

Worst yet, my vest is completely ruined. Well, perhaps not the worst thing to happen with his other more pressing matters at hand.

Parts of the ceiling laid on the ground and fortunately the blaster fire appeared terribly aimed and directed towards someone else. His body felt ready enough and Seto slowly picked himself through the wreckage that obstructed the hallway. Someone emerged from around the corner, Seto froze and before he could say "Hey-" the man simply raised his blaster and started to fire in Seto's direction.

With an almost blurr of emotion, and heavy dependency on the Force, Seto slammed his elbow into the man and followed up with a hard punch into the man's temple. Thankfully the man appeared almost in a dazed like sleep and his blaster clattered on the floor, but what shocked the young Du Couteau heir were the man's eyes and gurgled voice. Seto reflexively landed another heavy elbow into the poor man's head and stood back up, the man on the ground had something attached to the head and Seto narrowed his eyes.

Before he could examine, his senses flared and Seto put up a quick Force shield and several lazily aimed blaster shots glanced off his shield. Seto backed off and ran down a different hallway. He needed to find some sort of strong hold, or perhaps the landing pad, and afterwards he could worry about the strange gross yellow thing attached to that man's neck.

Must go faster.

He turned and tripped over a body that was on the floor. Scrambling on his hands and knees to come up from the ground in a sprint that wasn't happening. Instead, his back foot lost traction in a puddle of blood and went sideways. Slamming down on his side, the youngling was winded as he skidded over toward the wall.

At least now he had something solid to push off of.

Striking the heels of his repulsor-heelys together, the boy activated the repulsor generator recessed into the sole and aimed his feet at the wall. It wasn't graceful. It wasn't badass. And it sure as Sith wasn't sanitary, but it worked to slingshot him across the floor, across the room, and out into an open hall.

It also burned like all holy Hutt hell. The jinbei the boy was wearing wasn't exactly made for this, and his arms and knees were completely exposed, getting cut up along the ride.

Once he was no longer in a room full of repeating blasters, the boy scrambled back to his feet. The hallway wasn't exactly long, but it was a way out of here.

Maybe.

He hoped.

To be completely honest, he had no idea just where he was going. But the blaster fire sounded like it was behind him. So whatever direction this was going in, was the direction he thought he wanted to be going in.

Opening his senses to the Force, the boy applied a burst of Force Speed. In an instant, he became a fast-moving blur shooting toward the end of the hallway...

...which was where a flash of red light and a girl just appeared.

True science fact! Force Speed was totally a thing. Force Brake or Force Stop? Not so much, no. This should probably really be a thing.

Flailing wildly, the youngling catapulted forward even as he struggled in vain against the momentum he'd built up, all the while screaming as his body was on a collision course with the girl...

As a man fond of quaint details and artifacts from earlier years, Joma made notes in a leather-bound flimsi journal as he followed the First Order tour guide through the mine. During the heated discussion, Captain Leuf so dearly wanted to break in and correct a few facts, perhaps with incorrect versions of his own, but he enjoyed a good debate if the opportunity presented itself. Still, he could not get a word in edgewise, standing there with his finger up and mouth open, so he went back to scribbling in his journal. The click of blasters caused him to turn his head, and before he knew it he was being shoved out of the room by a few panicked Order bureaucrats.

“What the devil-”

“It’s a bloodbath in there, Captain Leuf. Avert your eyes,” said the Communications Director of Mensix, a young and quite pretty blonde-haired woman, bit of a toothy smile, but she wore it well. He was about to protest and tell her that he’d seen far worse during his stint in the Blaudu Sextus navy, but instead he pulled out his blaster as the prickle of imminent danger usurped the need for conversation.

“Those creatures we saw on the miners? Do you think they were yslamari?” That’s what he first assumed but perhaps they were more sinister predators of some sort.

“I don’t know. It certainly isn’t part of their uniform protocol.”

“Speaking of protocols is there one for evacuation, Miss Radoslava?”

“Yes, yes, but I… I.” The executive was terrified now, that was easy to see.

“Women and children first then!” shouted Joma, waving both Tao Lu and Marriskcal towards him along with the Comms Director, having no clue that both young Ren would be far more capable in taking out any threat than being evacuated from the facility. Although the blonde Ren’s lightsaber should have given him a hint that she was one of the fabled Ren of the First Order.

And then...

Joma had no words for what happened next as he had little exposure to both Force users and darksiders. Even in his head, he did not know the vocabulary of the mystical power sets used by these Disciples.

“Okay then,” he said to himself feeling quite useless as Miss Radoslava promptly fainted besides him.

With her aura expanded, Marriskcal sensed him the moment the young Ren entered the edges of her senses. Her eyes widened at the speed in which the youngling was travelling at, his screams a clear indication that he was unable to stop. In a fluid motion, the blonde slanted her body to a side, holding her ignited lightsaber away as she altered her stance to better maintain her balance. Using the force to strengthen her limbs, Marriskcal stepped out of the path when the dark haired boy came within reach, her arm arching out to wrap around his torso. Allowing his momentum to affect her, the initiate pivoted twice, tucking the youngling safely under her left arm before she came to a stop.

“Are you hurt?” she asked, a hint of concern clear in her voice even as her eyes looked down at the torn clothing worriedly. The pair, a male and female she vaguely remembered seeing as part of their tour stood before her.

Seto ducked towards the ground, and with a quick Force push he catapulted himself straight into another hostile, elbow first straight into the man's forehead. Seto sighed in relief he had at least knocked the poor man out with a single hit and continued to move, the sound of blaster fire and low mumbled voices grew behind him. Even as Seto stretched out his senses with the Force, in an attempt to feel what ailed these workers. Seto only redrew quickly as the sensation he felt was as if something had gnawed and crawled itself into these worker's psyche.

Yeah, no.

As the hallway turned into another corner, Seto finally sighed in relief as a room 'Communications' laid ahead and Seto nearly paled at the sight when he entered the room. Dead bodies weren't unusual, but with so many in one room marked 'Communications', well Seto gingerly walked in and started to shift through the frequencies. He didn't take long to hear someone on the comms, a First Order Stormtrooper ( [member="TK-0023"] )and for that Seto thanked the crazy Galaxy. "This a Knight of Ren, over. The mining facility is being torn apart by its own occupants, looking for survivors and-" Seto stopped as he reflexively dodged backwards as several blaster bolts sailed by him.

Seto grabbed one of the blasters on the ground and fired continuously at the miner. Perhaps either dumb luck or Seto's poor aim, but none of the shots hit the miner directly, of course Seto swore he singed the man's pants. But Seto threw the blaster at the miner instead and with aid once again from the Force, he punched with his right fist and with the man's head snapped back, the man slumped into the ground with a groan. Seto stared at his fist and felt content that at least he hadn't broken any knuckles yet. As he turned back to the communications equipment he swore at this crazy Galaxy.

He turned back around and left the smoldered wreck of the equipment and started to move, the sounds of more low voices and blaster fire spurred the young Du Couteau into quicker movement. He felt himself rather tired, a bit more than he was accustomed, but even so he continued to move as fast as he body allowed him. I really miss my droid. Seto lamented, truthfully he missed a lot of things, and worse yet he missed out on the supposed deserts and free drinks promised here.

Another flight of short stairs, Seto flung himself into a different doorway and found himself in a familiar presence. Either he had been knocked out with something truly devastating, but his memory failed him with the other occupants in the larger room. Seto quickly pivoted back towards the doorway and keyed in the door's lock mechanism. He doubted any one of these hostiles would pose much of a threat to either Ren, but his real worry was being overwhelmed and unable to find an escape in time.

With quick steps, walked over to the group, he bowed once to the Man that stood next to the unconscious woman, Seto gave a skeptical glance towards her neck and sighed in relief that nothing had attached itself to her. "I got in touch with a First Order Trooper, briefly, but it appears staying in this facility is both medically and reasonably inadvisable. Also, the name is Seto." Seto explained quickly, he gave Marr a concerned smile, and turned to face the rest of the occupants. Safety in numbers was a good thing, but with a young child and an unconscious person, well Seto was not entirely suited for such a situation. Neither was his suit.

"By any chance, anyone here knows this facility and how to navigate out of here?"

One-Shot, Second-Shot, Third-Shot and three miners dropped onto the floor with steaming holes left through their corpses leaving Lothia to carefully step over their warm bodies towards a door control panel. Satyek growled deeply and with care inspects each body Lothia glides over searching for any sign of life from either the miner of the creatures attached to them. "Possessed, not evil these men are. Their presence tainted." Satyek's guttural voice rumbles in the hallway with a toothy scarlet smile his paws chittering quietly against the Durasteel floor. As Lothia began manipulating a locked door's controls he pivots around and his sulfuric yellow eyes peer back down their path waiting with a predatory anxiety to seize the next devil who dared to attack them. Holstering her G-11F Blaster Rifle in a thigh holster secured to her right leg Lothia's energised gloves tear off a square wall panel and began manipulating the wires concealed within the wall.

Focused on the sizzling and flashes of light coming from the panel Lothia watches the holographic door lock attentively while Satyek faithfully protects his partner. "You make that statement as if I'm supposed to understand the deeper meaning behind it, must you always speak in riddles?" Pausing for a moment she feels a jolt of electricity travel up her gauntlet smacking her knuckle-plate against the inside of wall. "Come on, open up." Lothia snarles through her teeth with an irritated desperation, anxiety curdling in the depths of her gut with the fear of being shot in the back being omnipresent. Finally, the door lock flashed blue indicating it had been unlocked. "Got it, come on Satyek." Waving her hand past the holographic prompt Lothia shoulders her weapon with the gunmetal gray door receding into the walls to reveal a most grisly scene that had painted the mess hall into something unrecognisable as a place where people ate.

"My Gods...." Lothia is given pause by the sheer amount of corpses that littered the ground, carbon-scoring visible across every wall leaving only one possible conclusion; the dead men and women within the room had been slaughtered by their peers. "Why? These men and woman are noncombatants, unarmed workers who could do this and why!?" Furiously her heart pounds for the sheer scale of the loss of life. Nobody had replied to her broadcast leaving the Stormtrooper's desire to obliterate the facility and everything within it resolved. The large door on the opposite side of the mess hall flashes white splitting open to reveal several armed miners who as soon as Lothia identified who they were fired shots at the Stormtrooper, Lothia sprinted forth towards an over-turned table and dives behind it followed by Satyek. Slamming into the table after sliding briefly against the floor with a grunt. "Not evil you said? What do you call all of this!?"

Lothia screams over the defeaning sound of blaster fire, the bolts fly wildly and she resolves quickly to not be over-run, bolting up and using the table as both cover and support Lothia's finger shifts her weapon into the fully-automatic setting sending azure blue bolts back towards the assailants with lethal accuracy taking two men down before a bolt slammed into Lothia above the brow sending her down onto the floor with a throbbing pain across the front of her head. "Argh, I'm hit!" The Stormtrooper released that pained warning to Satyek who growls loudly as the miners advanced quickly upon the pair, desperately rising to her feet Lothia shoulders her rifle in a standing position with the cover rising to her hip, the adrenaline pumping she acquires each of the five targets and sends bursts of plasma at each of them with a precision that only years upon years of training could achieve. "You don't like that do you!?"

Her white armour awash and scratched in crimson, the last man falls but not before firing a shot from his repeating blaster that smacks the Stormtrooper straight in the breastplate releasing a cry of pain Lothia drops down onto a knee, clutching desperately at the wound with her left-hand and rasping with a deep desperation, the stim injectors bury themselves into Lothia's veins releasing powerful stimulants into her bloodstream prompting Satyek to dart-out above the cover with a jump and bound towards a dying Miner who attempted to rise in defiance and fire a killing shot at the wounded Trooper only to spot the great white Lothwolf too late. He cries out in pain with Satyek's jaws clamping down around his clavicles, Satyek's eyes burn angrily their sulphur yellow spheres pulse violently while effortlessly gnawing and ripping into the miner's flesh with a bloody righteous fury.

Lothia's hand rises up under her emerald spheres revealing a steady dripping that formed a narrow crimson stream that flowed out over their over their stark white warplate. "Satyek, I need you." Immediately the Lothwolf ceases his desecration of the Miner and bounds back across the mess hall to his Mother who was slumped over the table that had protected them with an out-reached hand extended towards the Lothwolf. Slinking around the table, he examines Lothia's condition for a moment before giving a closed-mouth nod extending one leg and bowing his head prompting a fist to clench a handful of his fur with Lothia pulling herself towards Satyek's gargantuan body she throws one leg over his white fur and straddles the sitting Lothwolf's spine. "To the shield generator room boy...We have to destroy this place, we're not going to die here." Lothia desperately heaves the words out from her rasping lungs through the helmet's annunciator keeping left-hand clutching Satyek's thick fur and the skin beneath. The Lothwolf surged forward with his comparatively diminutive rider at the door on the opposite side of mess hall, where those miners had emerged from.

Finally a man's voice enters the confines of helmet over the comlink identifying themselves as a Knight of Ren, Lothia releases a long sigh of relief; somebody else is alive and not crazy keying her comlink rapsing heavily with each breath. "Knight of Ren this is Tee-Kay Twenty-Three." She splutters for a moment. "I'm en-route to the shield generator room, you must evacuate the facility with all military and civil personnel that you can find.....I'm going to destroy the facility in accordance with the Graush protocol, Over." Lothia's voice would reverberate through the communications room loudly as Seto came under fire, unambigiously alerting the Knight of Ren to the Stormtrooper's decisive and rather desperate plan, one might even suspect she was crazy and Lothia would more than likely declare upon a statement of such character that 'She seemed to have that effect on people'. Though Lothia held little hope for her own survival she atleast hoped some would escape and not be claimed by whatever tragedy had befallen the facility.

Tao collided with the teenager, finding himself in the arms of someone who wasn't an adult -- but at this point, Tao wasn't going to be picky. She seemed like she was as good as any in terms of babysitter quality in the present crisis.

Also, the problem of being 140 centimeters tall was that Tao's head was at or around 'breast height' for most female humanoids. As such, when the boy had gotten his senses together and realized where his head had been resting, he pulled back sharply as his face turned various shades of white and scarlet.

She asked him a question, but Tao was too busy being equal parts confused, relieved, scared, and embarrassed to have paid her any attention. Mouth agape, the boy just stared up at the teenager somewhere on the verge of tears of pain, tears of relief, or just tears of scared youngling. No, Tao wasn't sure either. Moody youngling was moody.

His arms and legs were scratched up, several bruises from where he'd been knocked around, but otherwise he seemed like he was relatively unharmed.

There were two men around, a woman who fainted, and a youngling whose head was still working to try and process what was happening.

But there were adults here now. That meant he was safe, right?

As she waited for the male in a suit to hopefully provide her with an inkling of what was happening, Marriskcal patted the back of the youngling in a soothing motion, when she felt the other flinching within the embrace of her arm. Whatever it was that he saw back there must have shaken him. While she would have given more of her attention to the distressed boy, most of her focus was on ensuring that their small group remained safe from any further threat.

When Seto appeared into their corridor and locked the door behind him, the blonde found herself tensing for a moment before she sent out a tendril of her sense to ensure her brother was fine. Superficial wounds… maybe a slight concussion? She gave him a worried look even as the other graced her with a smile. “We will have to evacuate then.” Her knowledge of Mustafar is limited, and as this was supposed to be a tour and reception, Marriskcal only carried a little more than the bare essentials of her weapons on her.

And on that note, her eyes fell to his bruised knuckles. Switching off her lightsaber momentarily so she could remove her secondary lightsaber with a synthcrystal core, the blonde held it out towards her brother. “You can call me Marr,” she said, addressing their group, only remembering that manners existed when Seto greeted the others. Alas, for their small group, the more dire their situation grew, the more the blonde sank into a mindset that focused purely on the mission and its objectives. “I’m glad to see that you are relatively unharmed, brother. Are you still able to fight?

Her mind flickered through and discarded plans as they formed. The youngling and the businessman(?) can definitely move on their own power. “I’m uncertain if the walkways located on the exterior of the facility would lead us back to the entrance, but as it is exposed, there is a risk that the hostiles can see us while we are on the move.” If nothing, the walkway would be a good, though lengthier way for them to bypass some of the hallways inside. Without her armour, Marriskcal could not even pull up a blueprint of the place. “The other would be for us to backtrack down the way we came from. But the risk of encountering hostiles is extremely high. I’m fine with either option.

While Marriskcal was tempted to leave the unconscious woman behind, she discarded the thought immediately. Other than the slight derision she felt for the woman’s delicate constitution, the other has not wronged her. “Seto, can you please take care of the youngling for me?” With a gentle nudge, the initiate encouraged the boy in her arm to go towards her brother. “I’m going to wake her up, so we don’t need to carry a prone body.

And they will definitely need every little bit of advantage on their side.

Seto Du Couteau, Ren
Equipment: Bare Hands
Status: Alive
Objective: Get out Alive. (With the majority of our limbs)

He motioned his hands, pointed towards where he came from, "Those hostiles seem rather mindless with their attacks, but do retain some of their basic motor functions and are decent enough shots, if you're standing still." Seto commentated. Well, not exactly mindless. He still worried about the real possibility of being overwhelmed from sheer numbers. And at that point, they don't need to really aim.

Seto grasped Marr's weapon, his eyes scanned the hilt of the lightsaber and carefully griped the weapon with his right hand. He inclined his head once towards her in silent thanks and he kept his gaze towards Marr as she addressed the rest of the group. Seto than noticed the smaller boy next to his sister Ren, and with a quick bow towards him and Seto offered a smile.

"My name is Seto Du Couteau," He extended his hand, "-Now that we've established ourselves and have a basis on our situation, we should now begin to-" Seto paused as he heard something bang and more blaster fire from somewhere distant. His snapped back between the sound and the next possible exit. We need move quickly, but with with no clear path available.

He whirled his saber and with a snap hiss the red hue glowed evenly and with an nod of approval Seto gave the weapon he readied himself. "The military will move in and quickly attempt to halt any advances of whatever is attacking this mining facility. Speed is urgent so if you suddenly feel weightless and flying through the air, that'll be me throwing you with the Force," Seto explained in a matter of fact tone.

The head pat was appreciated.

Not consciously, but the Atrisian youngling was definitely starting to feel better about the situation they were in. The teenage girl handed him over to a man who seemed like he might be older. Actually an adult. Tao shifted the lightsaber hilt he was carrying to his other hand so that he could accept the offered hand. "Tao," the boy replied in kind, before taking on the obligatory, "Nín hǎo."

This Seto big bro seemed like he had a plan.

A glowing red lightsaber in his hands and a gleam in his eye. This Seto bro was definitely not the hero that they needed, but the hero that they deserved.

And he had a plan.

Wait... what did he mean throwing him with the Force?

"?" the youngling intoned, glancing up at the man as the boy tried to work out in his mind just what that would even look like. "You mean like a Fastball Special?"

It was something he'd seen in one of the Squib Jedi holo-vids.

She listened to the briefing Seto provided with a keen ear and unerring focus.

Indiscriminate.

Basic motor functions.

Decent shots when it came to unmoving or slow targets.

Well, they will just have to move faster and incapacitate whoever that showed any signs of hostility towards them then. And sadly for them, Marriskcal has never been taught to show mercy. Her lesson on Virgillia only reinforced this particular conviction.

With a slight curve of a smile in reply to her brother, the blonde made her way towards the unconscious woman’s side. She watched as the youngling, Tao, made his way towards Seto before she gave her full attention to the final member of their small group. As she has just started to learn how to manipulate the force to heal a few weeks ago, Marriskcal was not confident of her abilities to heal either Tao or Seto when it required her full focus. But waking up a civilian who was unconscious? It was something she was familiar with, especially after her assignment on Elrood.

The initiate folded gracefully into a kneel beside the woman and placed a left hand between the brows of the other. With barely any mental protection against a force sensitive, Marriskcal easily sent a wisp of her presence into the woman’s mind, coaxing her to awaken. With a violent shudder and sudden jolt, the Communications Director of Mensix leap into a sitting position, her gaze looking around in panic when the distinct sounds of blaster fire and crashed echoed to where they were.

“Miss Radoslava,” she started in a calm tone, gleaning some of her surface thoughts before she retreated. “We do not have much time. You either keep your panic under control and come with us without a word, or we will leave you behind.” After listening to Seto’s explanation, Marriskcal knew well enough that the longer they lingered, the higher the chances that they will encounter a larger group of hostiles as they regroup after carrying out whatever they were hoping to accomplish by neutralising every being within the facility.

Staring into the other blonde’s frightened eyes, Marriskcal found herself satisfied to see that Radoslava would not be hindering them. Straightening, the blonde nodded towards Seto and Tao. “Since we need to evacuate the facility as soon as possible, we will just backtrack to the entrance using the path we have taken during the tour.” The blue flare of her lightsaber reappeared once more as the initiate started moving down the corridor, away from the hall where Tao and the two civilians has arrived from.

While she missed the map and extra information that came with the armours she favoured, the blonde has a good memory when it came to navigating through any area she has passed through before. With her force senses stretching outwards to sense for hostiles, their small group managed to make it close to the entrance of the facility when Marriskcal sensed the presence of two hostiles. Sentries. Giving Seto a glance and a nod, the blonde waited for a second for her brother to prepare before she lunged out from the corner they were at, her lightsaber poised to separate the head from body.

"Lothia" TK-0023
Mensix Mining Facility, Engineering Control Room
Allies: [member="Marriskcal Lati"], [member="Tao Liu Xian"], [member="Seto Du Couteau"] [member="Jomasom Leuf"], 104th Battalion Personnel
Enemies: Deranged Miners

Lothia thrusts an index finger towards the Onyx mountains visibly sitting behind the Mensix mining facility. "Get your butt out of here!" The reluctant Satyek snarled at his charge for a moment before giving a small nod of head in submission and pivoted on his paws chittering away loudly. Pivoting in her boots Lothia knew what was waiting for her albeit not who, giving one last glance to the lava below ventilated cat-walk she releases an anxious expiration before holstering G-11F Blaster Rifle and reaching over shoulder to a sheath sitting beside jet-pack. "I'm going to need you for this." Lothia's hand wraps around the contoured hilt the startlingly beautiful Obsidian black Phrik blade with its' singular purple strip is drawn out from its' housing.

Thus set forth Lothia; a warrior who had been consumed by the darkness of war and emerged time and time again only with greater strength and ductility like some high quality alloyed metal. Ascending up the stairs after clearing a wide albeit not entirely tall Gunmetal Grey door Mustafar's ambient staggering heat dissipates revealing a room absent of personnel and corpses in equal measure. "Reveal yourself, Traitor!" Lothia exclaims calmly after halting soliciting a beige cloaked figure to appear out from the hallway on right with his hands tucked into excessively wide sleeves appearing more sage than saboteur or murderer. Remaining silent for the moment Lothia adopted a Teras Kasi fighting stance: A fighting school she possessed more than advanced skill within. "Explain your actions! Why do this and turn the creatures onto our mining Staff?"

The man's hands steadily leave his sleeves and graciously peels back the cowl shrouding his deep ocean blue complexion and soft crimson eyes, looking to the Stormtrooper with his weary and wrinkled face. "It was not supposed to happen this way, I am sorry." Lothia angrily raises her lithe dueling sword and thrusts it towards the man. "Don't lie to me! You came here to sabotage the mining facility and extract secret and classified information from its' databases. I'll not see one more innocent worker die because of your treachery!" Narrowing his spheres somewhat while looking at the Stormtrooper he steadily shakes head side-to-side disappointed that they had not critically assessed the Order's influence over the Order's politics and economy. The Jedi Reformation succeed, he had seen it within the future.

"The reformation would never slaughter innocent First Imperial Citizens like this they are our people too. please you nor I need die here." Pleading with the Stormtrooper, he reveals a pair of empty hands as a sign of good faith towards the Woman hoping with the greatest sincerity that she may just turn away and evacuate the facility like the other souls who had been fortunate to be saved. Searching the Stormtrooper's thoughts and feeling the Chiss finds the familiar touch of light buried beneath a harsh and disciplined exterior "I know you saved some of the facility staff, doing to the facility what is demanded by your orders will only bring more death."

Lothia's knees spring down and hold as the Chiss man lazily extends an open palm towards the Stormtrooper, though she feels neither constricted nor controlled by rather a pleasant warm sensation pulse through her skin and injuries. Feeling her wounds pull together closed, Lothia lowers the blade's hilt clutched in both hands tacitly surprised and shocked by such an act of kindness from one who was supposed to stand as her enemy. "I'm disabling the Deflector shields for the facility and engaging administrative lock-outs. If you're such a wise, noble guardian of life and truth why don't you take some responsibility and try to clean up YOUR mess before these mines plunge into the Lava?" Lothia retorts angrily suspecting the Jedi has no intention of attacking her the Stormtrooper boldly approaches the whooping and buzzing control console although secretly she feared that initiating a fight with such an individual will lead only to her defeat.

"We can always rebuild from the Chaos that you rebels bring, but lives lost can never be replaced." The Chiss Jedi bows with a humbled piety towards the Stormtrooper desiring to prove that the reformation were neither cruel nor fanatics and that the circumstances that had gripped the mine were the result of a short-sighted mistake. "May the force be with you young Valora" Slinking away with a volume only a true Lothwolf could detect and with equal speed the comment instantly forces Lothia's attention to snap from the control console over shoulder with her Emerald spheres shooting open at the use of that noun that had all but been forgotten by Lothia.

"How d-" Lothia's emerald green eyes search frantically through the control room for the Jedi but nothing is revealed save the distant sound of one of the control room's tertiary doors opening. One-hand begins the process of entering log-in information which prompts an irritating masculine droid voice to begin crooning about how she lacked the clearance to access Engineering sub-systems. "I'm done with this security clearance garbage! Computer initiate command over-ride number seven-eight-four-two-eight-three interrupt and override, authorization Tee-Kay Twenty-Three , Foxtrot India Sierra Charlie." The droid-brain beamed back some message on its' monitor before displaying a hologram of the facility and the aqua-coloured shield diagram around it dissipating with the structures' lined-model turning a crimson red indicating it was receiving unsafe levels of thermal energy.

"That's what I like to see now to format the local databases..." Opening a command line interface the Stormtrooper methodically locates each of the servers and hard-drives with data stored on them and begins purging all saved data on the mainframe: Technical Documents, Civil and Military logs, performance data. "All of it, will leave basic input/output and security software functioning on a partition to allow continued door, communication and illumination operation. Doesn't look like anything has been accessed thank the Gods, what a waste of time on their part." Lothia nervously talks with nobody to hear, beads of sweat roll down the woman's pallor as Mustafar's fiery ambience begins to permeate through the thick Durasteel walls of the Mensix facility, watching the progress bars fill anxiously Lothia smiles and takes one-step away from the console before giving a satisfied nod with the floor rumbling and groaning violently beneath her feet.

Connecting to the planetary Com-link system now that she had reconnected the beleaguered facility. "Mayday, Mayday, Mayday this is Tee-Kay Twenty-Three of the One-Hundred and Forth Battalion, Aurek Company. The Mensix Mining facility has been compromised and is being scuttled in accordance with Directive three-hundred and seventeen. All local atmospheric assets are hereby ordered to land at the Mensix's facility primary landing pad to evacuate any remaining personnel who have gathered there in response to the emergency according to our evacuation action plans. Out." Cycling into the Mensix facility's wireless over-ride channel from the Engineering Control Room, Lothia desperately sends out one last plea to any remaining survivors.

"Attention! This is not a drill, all Mensix facility personnel are hereby ordered to evacuate in accordance with your code purple emergency response action plans. I say again, all Mensix facility personnel are hereby ordered to evacuate in accordance with your code purple emergency response action plans." That was all she could do and in response Lothia draws her G-11F Blaster Rifle and fires two bolts into the Engineering Control Room's master terminal and offers up an ancient and arcane gesture with one finger on left-hand towards it before scurrying quickly out the door revealing Lava to be spewing high in geysers of molten metal. The facility's closest surfaces to the river running beneath are glowing a startling red.

Lothia narrowly avoids a hail of Blaster bolts that hurtle towards her from a howling and shrieking mob that charges towards her, they were stupid but smart enough to understand what was going on. The landing pad at the entrance of Mensix is all the way on the other-side of the facility. "Enjoy your dip, scaly! The Lava looks fine today!" The defiant and courageous Stormtrooper offers up the one final insult before the jump-pack carries her up towards the black clouds and up over the facility's rooftops. Pushing as fast as humanly possible in such heavy armour the beads of sweat turned into Rivers, eyes frantically search the skies for deliverance only to be disappointed and right as heart begins to sink a reassuringly familiar voice chimes deeply into her helmet's confines.

"Sieger's Balls Sarge! What have you done this time!?" Lothia breaks out into a manical laughter as the Lava washes over the roof dangerously close to the Jump-Pack wearing Stormtrooper, finally peering up again to reveal a Banshee Dropship descending over Mensix with its' rear cargo ramp visibly lowered. It's glorious armoured hull shrugging off the small-arms fire offered upto it by the possessed miners whom remained greatly homicidal in the face of impending fiery death. "Ricochet!? Is that you? Land the bloody dropship on the MAIN platform at the facility's port reception building! Do you hear me!? I don't want to die down here!" Unknown to Lothia several other survivors including the Ren she had earlier warned on the open-channel were fortunately gathering at that same very spot in the hopes of escaping. The Banshee descends further to fly above Lothia who continues to the edge of an upcoming Port Reception Building's roof-top. Beyond it would be salvation in the form of over-sized landing pad.

The Banshee's Ion engines give that distinct roar as it settles down on the landing pad before the odd four individuals who had gathered upon it. The rear cargo ramp was lowered so they might embark. Within the Banshee are four Stormtroopers wearing the distinctive gray and wolf markings of the 104th Battalion. One of the Stormtroopers pulls a hydraulically stabilised FWMB-10 Repeating Blaster from the Cargo Bay's roof and begins firing towards a few Miners who desperately scurried like Lothrats who were fleeing a wave of molten Lava. "Hurry up! Come on and get aboard!" The Corporal beckons the individuals towards the fine leather seats waiting for them, continuing to Cover them with the Repeating Blaster while the other three Stormtroopers rush to the edge of Cargo bay to help the men and women up the ramp.

Lothia narrowly avoids getting hit as she descends with Jump-Pack down through the hail of red laser bolts, landing on a hand and knee before craning helmet up to silently greet her Comrades. "Sarge!? Run!" With a glance behind her Lothia's Emerald Spheres simmer in the reflection of blisteringly hot lava. Dropping her G-11F Blaster Rifle Lothia lurches forward into a desperate sprint with blaster bolts being exchanged narrowly over her slightly burnt scratched white armour. "Come on! Come on! Come on!" A Private beckons Lothia before shouldering his weapon and putting a bolt through the skull of a miner who comes dangerously close to latching onto his Platoon Sergeant. With one final push Lothia uses the last of her fuel to soar into the Banshee's cargo bay hurtling over the heads of any inside and slamming against the cockpit cabin's door with a sickening crack being signalled from the woman's body.

Without even waiting for the Order Richochet's hand throttle the Banshee and will pull up and away from the landing pad, unable to wait any longer as the Psychotic and Lava of Mustafar washes over it. Cargo Bay Ramp steadily recedes back rising up to form an atmospheric hermetic seal with the hull its' nose pitching up towards orbit gently. Lothia rolls onto her spine steadily with eyes pursed shut and releasing a relieved sigh and brief cackle. "I can't believe we made it!"
