On the dimly lit bridge of the Celestial Blight II, Lieutenant Commander T'yr Dellos stood at parade rest and stared into the void. Around him, Imperial Officers and Stormtroopers from Sirat Wen waited for his orders. He let his awareness drift over them. Their emotions radiated from them as clearly as radio waves from a transceiver. Eager. Anxious. Excited. Scared. The normal emotions that came from the calm before the storm. Gently, T'yr Dellos guided the emotions of his bridge crew away from their jitters. Calm. Confidence. Pride. These were the emotions he desired in his men. And he would have it even if he must force it upon them.

10 million kilometers away from planet Sekalus, Victory Battlegroup Blight and Ardent Heavy Patrol Group Defiant lay in wait. The Celestial Blight II and her escorts were powered down and running silent, drifting slowly through the void as they waited for orders from afar. No external signals were emitted from the craft. Electronics were at a bare minimum, the ion drives were cold and silent, and the ship itself was running on reserve capacitors. Life support was being maintained, as was passive sensors and comm receivers.

So, as the Siratians waited on the First Order fleet to call for reinforcements, they became aware of the hyperspace signatures of a number of ships entering the system. On passive sensors only, there was no way to know much more than that ships had arrived. But them arriving at all was what surprised Lieutenant Commander T'yr Dellos. <It looks like our aid may be needed after all.> Dellos thought to himself. Moments later, voices sprang to life from the console next to him. Comm chatter from the new arrivals.

Galven Solomon said:
"Attention all First Order ships, please respond. This is urgent, we do not wish to exchange weapons fire unless absolutely necessary."

Evangeline Ovmar said:
"Unknown frigate, this is Captain Ovmar of the Coercer-class Star Destroyer, Resolute . Your desire to speak is noted and logged, however your approach with shields up and weapons charged, along with the appearance of multiple unknown ships making headings for this position gives me no choice but to assume hostility. If your urgency is so great, all vessels under your control and allied with your fleet are to power down and come to a full stop. Once done, a shuttle will dock and carry you here to speak. Failure to do so will be considered an act of hostile intent and you will be fired on."

Lieutenant Commander Dellos could not help but to roll his eyes. Whatever amateurs had arrived to contest an Imperial Battlegroup, they were off to an auspicious start. <They show up unannounced, fail to identify themselves, claim intent to negotiate, declare they want to avoid hostilities, and yet they raise power to shields and weapons?> Lieutenant Commander Dellos mused to himself. <They are either attempting a trap, or they are over-excited opportunists with no idea what they are doing.>

Galven Solomon said:
"Attention First Order ship. You are ordered to cease your attacks on the planet below. You will take the Phrik you came here for and leave. Our weapons and shields are a warning, but if you want to fight all of us, our friends will surely join the party. If the ground attacks do not cease, we will open fire and land troops. You have three minutes to report back, or choose to open fire now."

"They're both." T'yr Dellos mused aloud as he listened to the continued comm chatter. Even a youth with the most basic understandings of military doctrine knows that soldiers are trained to recognize threats and engage with force. A car approaches a checkpoint at high speeds, and the soldiers will open fire upon the vehicle. It does not matter if the vehicle is an ambulance, an armored vehicle, or a bus full of children. The soldiers are trained and indoctrinated to open fire on the unknown threat and destroy it long before it can pose a threat to whatever they are guarding.

The analogy was an easy one to draw. If their limited telemetry was correct, some buffoon with a handful of escort ships was racing towards a military battlegroup at full speed and with shields and weapons raised.

With every fiber of their being, any soldier or officer in the First Order formation would not be able to see the group as anything other than a threat. No matter what words came from that ship, it would be viewed no differently than an unknown vehicle racing towards a military checkpoint.

It would be fired upon and destroyed without mercy.

What concerned Lieutenant Commander Dellos, was that the interloper had still failed to identify himself... all the while issuing threats, demands, and bargains. <Who would be stupid enough to even talk to this fool?> T'yr wondered to himself.

Not that it mattered anyway.

Whoever the suicidal idiot was, he wasn't the only one with friends.

"Maintain silent running." Lieutenant Commander Dellos said calmly to his bridge staff. "But if the call for aid comes, I want us prepared for a micro-jump as quickly as possible. The rest of the Battlegroup will just have to catch up."

They had landed within the main facility, the ramps lowering almost before they'd come to a stop. There was a concern they might meet with resistance – rioting or even saboteurs – upon arrival, and for that reason it was a combat exit, all the stormtroopers disembarking in rapid succession, rifles at the ready. They performed the manoeuvre flawlessly, without Kriel having to give a single order, emerging into a vast loading bay already occupied by one other First Order transporter. The ceiling rose almost fifty meters above them, cut into the rock and braced with scaffolding that dripped rusty water, creating brackish puddles of red and green across the floor. Ten-meter-long artificial lights hung from the braces, flickering irregularly. Beneath his feet, Kriel could feel a dull vibration, what he imagined were the drills working the rock far below. Aside from a handful of maintenance droids in the bay, there was no sign of anyone.

His own squad’s sergeant, ordered the fire-team up to the entrance of the bay and secure it. The doors were enormous, rising almost as high as the ceiling, and they ground as they pulled open. A wall of noise poured into the bay – the sounds of innumerable machines working, what Kriel thought must be the refinery itself.

The Underground received the transmission. Normally, the chance to bloody some First Order noses would be worth examining, but this Solomon fellow had a file. Until about a year ago, he'd been a Moff; he still publicly went by Imperator and enforced an Imperial-derived leadership structure. He'd also reached out to the Underground before, with a mission plan that would have gotten them all killed. Underground leadership declined to support him. That, and they had their own reasons for wanting things near Black Rose territory to experience instability. Long story.

The Underground might move to evacuate certain minimal assets on the ground, and possibly to observe the battle. But no help would be coming for what looked like Imp-on-Imp action.

Ovmar raised an eyebrow and chuckled.

"Who does this space cadet think he is? The Galactic Police or something?" she shook her head and laughed a moment longer. She glanced at the display before her and frowned. Her ships were entering high orbit, maintaining formation as ordered. Ships were disgorging landers and troops as the assault continued, but something was off. As the ships locked in orbit, it hit her. Or rather, it hit her ships.

The orbital ring wasn't a shipyard or, at least, not entirely. It was a defensive installation and gathering from the volume of fire it had just spouted as her fleet entered orbit, it was a sizeable installation.

"Who makes a defensive ring around a planet?" she asked, not realizing she spoke aloud. "Didn't she read the reports on Druckenwell? They made sure to go over that action in the academy. The hell were these people thinking on a defensive ring?"

When a nearby member of the bridge crew snorted in humor, Eva shook her head and focused on the task at hand. She had a fight to win, nothing more, nothing less.

"Ignore Space Cadet and his frigate fleet. This defensive installation is our primary target. It's the greatest threat right now," she looked to her sensor techs and hit a few keys to highlight the planet's ring. "I need sensor data on this thing and I need it yesterday. Start scanning immediately. It's got shields, no one is dumb enough to not install shields on a combat station in space. Find the power surges of the generators and narrow them down to sections. I want you to scan for structural integrity as well around those sections. Generators will be armored usually, but if we separate them from the ring itself, it'll do the same thing, but faster."

One of the petty officers nearby scratched at his cheek, hesitating for a minute. Ovmar spotted the movement and raised an eyebrow.

"Something wrong, sailor?" she asked neutrally.

"Yes, Ma'am," he said after a moment. "If we destroy sections of the ring, wouldn't that destabilize the entire ring? Sending it crashing down to the surface?"

"Yes, it will, but only if its destabilized to a certain extent and only if they fail to prioritize its defense," she gestured at the display projecting the battlefield as it stood. "They have enough ships and enough tractor beams that with the few sections broken loose, they can hold them from impacting the planet, but that would lock them in place and slow them down. They have a hard choice to make. Strike a blow against perceived tyranny..."

Ovmar nodded at the viewport and the planet beyond as she returned to her holodisplay.

"... Or condemn a planet to devastation."

With everyone off her ship Ellie wasted now time. Quick as a rabbit she strapped in and toggled her banks of switches, skipping every fifth switch to power up the Crop Duster. The deck rumbled her engines whined and whirred as they turned over and over until they caught, causing a massive thump to vibrate her body.

"C'mon baby, dont fail me now!"

The energy flux fields were a bit of the mark, but the reactor was stable enough. With trembling hands she grabbed the yoke, releasing the docking cables with a few more switches. They flew across the bay, pneumatic pressure blasting them clear of the vessel. It began to rise, the crescent hull baking hard right and climbing in altitude.

Ellie watched the chaos in the air unfold. Two freighters collided, erupting in a ball of flame and whizzing shrapnel. The entire lane broke formations, craft scattering this way and that. A quick reflexive pull nosed her vertical and she fire full thrusters, letting the YT-2400 go full burn upwards towards the atmosphere.

Flames and smoke embroiled the vessel, arcing from her shields as she moved further through the thick ionosphere, and finally broke free. There was another series of sounds, clicks and pings from the hull groaning under the gravity and another dull whir as artificial gravity kicked in.

All hell was breaking loose in orbit. The ring was a thousand meters out, getting pounded by what appeared to be an armada of wedge and otherwise shaped vessels. Another fleet was showing up on scanners. Beams of deadly green and red danced among the stars, fusillades of fire going between sides.

"This ain't good!"

Who am In talking to? It's just me!

Shush!

Hyperdrive now!

Her hands flicked another switch, routing auxiliary power to her hyperdrive. There was another whir, a whine and the nav computer booted up. The drives readings showed it working overtime and then suddenly, it stopped, crapping out completely.

"Kark, that's even worse!" She roared, face flushed once more with anger.

The Paladin snapped into existence once more, becoming visible in real space. The Arue'tii aboard the vessel adjusted his eyes to the pitch blackness of space after having experienced the blue glow that jumping to hyperspace tended to create. Stars refocused themselves into singular points instead of streaking lines of white, and the crew immediately began to take passive scans of the nearby area. The ship had not moved directly to Sekalus as had initially been planned due to a tactical point brought up by the ship's Captain Jones. It was a decent point as well, one that Abelain could not argue with. Since the only reason he was coming to the aid of these miscreants was the potential for payment, it would bode best to determine which side had the fighting advantage and to either side with them, or to simply wait until the concluded aftermath and scrape together whatever scraps of material remained on the planet.

Morals in this case did not concern him very highly, especially since he was not the one committing atrocities. It was like watching an animal torn apart from afar, one might feel sympathetic towards the prey, but they did not often feel empathetic towards the dying animal. It was nature's way, and it would continue as such for eternity or until all life had once more rejoined the One Escalation. As it was, the Paladin was likely to play the role of vulture, avoiding the conflict entirely and snatching at the fleshy remains after the matter. Still, if there was a reasonable chance that they defending forces would be victorious, it would be better to side with them both for monetary gain as well as to accumulate potential allies and contacts for future operations of merit.

Waiting outside of the system, the Paladin could not quite determine the exact number or class of vessels entering, but there seemed to be a reasonably high number. "Monitor comm communications coming from Sekalus, refrain from sending any message to either fleet for the time being, for now we shall simply observe." With the order given, the Paladin and it's crew simply waited in the void that encompassed them, drifting gently through space until an appropriate signal had been received.

Arthan and the stormtroopers were just about finished clearing up all of the security personnel when suddenly the dropship exploded, killing two more of his troopers, leaving fifteen able to fight still.

The Disciple looked up and saw a fly by, the one that had destroyed the dropship presumably. Arthan felt power and light radiating from the ship, it was a Jedi, and a powerful one at that.

He quickly activated his comlink and switched it to the frequency of the First Order fleet above "Strike Team Beta reporting in, our transport has been destroyed and some of our troops killed, I can also feel a Jedi in the vicinity. Requesting additional support." He said, hoping that his communications weren't jammed.

He gathered what stormtroopers he could and tried to rally them as best as he could "Troopers! Our transport has been destroyed, but we will not give up! A Jedi has arrived to attempt to stop us, but we will prevail! Whoever still has their riot gear, equip it now! The rest with blasters, cover us from afar! Today we will have our victory! For the First Order!" He roared valiantly.

Eight of the troopers equipped their Z6 riot control batons and stood with Arthan, as the force marched forward to face their enemy.

Two ships swooped in from the both east one landing while the other simply dropped the walker down with a thud. The droids would flood out from the back of the craft making noises from their mechanical bodies moving. "Slams load up in the walker and get it moving towards the mine." As the droids moved into the walker she'd climbed the side of it ssliding her and in between a pannle and wedging her foot in a small gap above the joint of a leg and Maria joined. It took a minute before the massive thing began to move. "Miss swift we have more contacts on the ground and our orbital sensors are picking up that the first orders ships are moving into attack positions against the ring." Sanya expected as such. They are war mongering fools and always willing to push their luck. They forgot one thing. Never underestimate your opponent. For the time being she was holding off giving the order to launch all available ships stations at the ring. The second they leave they would become a target. She needed to wait till the friendly fleet began to engage the enemy. "Confirmed Asuna. Have droids sent to engage hostiles that make it to the ground. Their primary objective is the drop ships. Eliminate means of escape. Voi speeders are now approved for use as airstrikes." She said planning everything out and thinking strategy. "Yes Milady."

"As for the rings defence central the fire to the vessels. Start with the smallest first narrow the fleet down they will struggle to spread fire. Once the opportunity is there have the frigates deploy. I'm issuing Tarvis to lead the fleet." She said. "Yes Malady, we only have three ready for deployment the rest are either under maintenance or over the city as a last line." "With friendly above that should be enough to support them and keep the enemy divided." Her attention would focus onto the tunnel of blac,k blue and gray smoke in the direction the enemy landed. In a matter of moments they will arrive.

"Sir, they've ignored us, they're going for the planet!" One of the bridge officers shouted. Galven could see the ships opening fire and he slammed his fist down, a little upset that they ignored his warning shot. "Open the Comms, encrypt it to our allies. We're going in." The bridge officer agreed and created an encrypted channel. "Sovereign-class vessel, do what you can to get the enemies attention. Redeemer, launch all fighters. Indomitable-class, I need your support. Circle them, hit them with your long range but stay out of their range! Redeemer, power to engines, we're going in!" He said, pointing a finger forward. Perhaps not his best ideas to date, but it was the best he had at this moment.

"Call in the evacuation group immediately, we're going to give them the time they need. Blade Wings, form up with my fighters, and cover me from enemy fighters!" The Redeemers engines kicked on and encrypted hyperspace messages were sent back home, alerting the evacuation fleet head in. "Get up under their bellies, fire the Heavy Turbolasers! Nebulon B7's and Watcher-classes, cover my evacuation group, support the defenders below by any means! Helmsmen, order the two escort Bloat-classes to head down to the planet and create a safe zone and evac area! We've only got one shot at this, let's not screw this up men, let's make sure we get those people out of there! Open Fire!!"

The Redeemer was coming up under the enemy fleet, and its Heavy Turbo Lasers started opening up. If the frigate firing on the Resurgence wasn't enough to get a distraction, the fact that it would soon be behind all of the ships would make a problem if they couldn't turn well. Suddenly, three Pelta-class Frigates and two Hammerhead-class Cruisers hyperjumped in, but they were a bit ways away from the battle, and heading for the planet. The Cruisers would stay in orbit over the evacuation site, while the Pelta's went down and landed. The designated evacuation site was by the Starport, and any vessels attempted to flee the Starport would be escorted until they jumped away by the fighters from the Hammerheads.

The two Bloat-classes had taken position on either side of the starport, facing the main drop zone of the enemy forces. The soldiers that dropped out from transports began trying to calm everyone down and moving forward to create a line of defense for civilians to funnel through and protect them from First Order soldiers. "Attention people of Sekalus," a broadcast erupted from a Bloat-class, "Please remain calm, all civilians please reach the starport or one of the large transports landing or a shuttle on the ground. We will evacuate you to safety."

[member="Eliza Raxis"]

In space, the fighters that had just launched from the Heammerheads were informed of a freighter that seemed to stall out. Three fighters flew to support the freighter and the rest flew down to the surface to cover other retreating vessels. "Attention YT-2400, are you alright? You are under the protection of GOMM, we will escort you until you jump, if you need any help, do not hesitate." one of the fighter pilots chirped up over the comms to the freighter, hoping it heard them.

Galven didn't get the reinforcements he was hoping for, but hopefully this day would mean something to the other factions of the Galaxy. Yes, war was expensive, but most of the time we would waste assets, because we weren't fighting because we hated what was in front of us, we fought because we loved what was behind us, at home. Galvens men knew that, and that is why they have followed him all the way here. We shouldn't only fight to save a special dignitary because they would pay us for saving them. Why would it be so different if that dignitary had died, and their family was all that was left? We should stand up for what we believe in, we should all stand up for what is right. And if this was the day Galven would fall, he would fall standing, standing up for the people who couldn't, fighting for those who can not fight.

The whistling of the astromech beside him alerted the young Pantoran to the incoming advance of a ground force toward the First Order's impromptu landing zone.

Hovering in the upper atmosphere, the Sith Interceptor and its two TIE escorts lingered above the drop ships. They were the eyes of the First Order, surveying ahead of the ground forces. Looking over at the transparent dome of the R3 unit, a holographic image of a spider-legged tank popped into view. Reaching across the console, the boy tapped in a quick sequence of relay commands that would route the available target and sensor data to the troops on the ground.

It seemed their quiet patrol was about to get more interesting. "Echoes Team, form up on me," the young Pantoran stated, taking the flight control of the Equinox off automatic as he plied his hands to the controls. Plunging down beneath the clouds, the star courier swooped down and around to approach the incoming force at a perpendicular line of attack from that of the First Order ground force they were approaching.

"Echo Two, I want a sensor blind up," the boy stated. That TIE would pull up and away, so to produce an 'area of effect' over the tactical battlespace, one that would hopefully function to put the targeting computers and communication units of the attacking force in the blind and disrupting their command and control systems.

"Echo One, with me," the young Sith asserted, as he tilted the star courier for an attack run on the walker itself. That armor was going to be too strong for blasters, but he hoped the sensor blind and attack from the side would help to divert the attack on the ground forces. "ArThree, signal Commodore [member="Evangeline Ovmar"] and request an orbital strike on that walker," the boy said.

"Echo One, paint that walker with your jamming beam," the boy added, as his own ship's heavy blasters let loose a volley of fire intended to strafe the walker and anything around.

Damien, despite his writer having already attempted a post stating he did so - which wasn't saved for whatever reason - finally dropped from hyperspace. His lieutenant instantly began shouting orders to attempt evasive maneuvers. Already battle had begun. Stepping closer to the view port, Damien let his men do as they wanted, knowing they were trained for space battles, while he was not. There would never be a day that he claimed he was.

"Sir, we are receiving communication, encrypted, from an ally ship. I believe it is the man that called us."

"Return contact, let him know that I will be ready to grab him and get to the planet if the need arises." Damien called, and knew the message would be delivered.

Next, he touched the hilt of the sword won at auction, Lymmahtun. It was the most powerful vacuum of Force energy that he had ever come across, which was saying something... Nodding slowly, he began to draw energy from the sword, his spirits, and the Talisman of Concentration. He had a plan to aid the defendors, and his enemies wouldn't like it in anyway.

"Let Galven know to contact the other vessels. We will need them ready. I'm going to drop their shields." Damien called again, "Use SARRAH to encrypt it so that only Galven may open it."

Ellie was busy trying to fire the hyperdrive over and over when the message came in. She growled, seizing the comm's headset and jamming it over her ears, so she talk hands free.

"Uhhh. Negative, My Hyperdrive has gone down. You guy's local?"

If they were local she needed to jet. Smuggling Phrik off planet through back channels was a straight crime. A crime that'd land poor Ellie in the brig, and she was not very keen on that.

There was a myriad of options for her. Hide and hope it would all be over soon then slip away. Go to the fleet with the escort, risk whatever was down that path, or fly herself via sub light right out of here. Each had it's own risk reward ratio's but Ellie was not down to be boarded.

"C'mon!"

Two more slaps of the terminal and a dozen switches later and the problem manifested itself on her data screens.

"Failed Containment field! Kark! You gotta be joking."

Time was ticking down, and in a rapid fashion. The battle outside was growing thicker, and heavier and she was approaching the nearest ring section at a decent speed, even with engines off.

"Too close."

Her hand jostled the yoke, firing reverse thrusters and backing her off from the ring a bit.

And that was when it began, a small tingle in her gut, a whispering feeling. She resisted, knowing full well that feeling only came before she was about to slip into some kind of netherworld. One where she could see things happening in other places. One that she hadn't yet learned to control.

A voice whispered in her mind.

Jump.....

Jump.........

Jump...........

Panic began to seize her, crushing in on her chest, like a lead weight.

"No!"

Jump! Jump Now!

It came heavier and harder. A crashing wave on the rocky shores of her mind. Ellie grimaced pressing her lips tight together and let go. All control left her, and a miraculous thing happened. The space around her began to grow shorter and denser. The stars sparkled, the void began to swirl heavier and heavier.

It was drawing her in, feeding off her concentration.

"Concentrate..... Jump!"

Ellie shook her head, and went with it. She imagined jumping, right then and there. will power and desperation went into her thoughts. Space ripped asunder under her gaze, the vessel lurched forwards. Gamma radiation seared across the quadrant from her location, ripping the real-space, and the Crop Duster tumbled in, jumping straight into hyperspace....

"Whoa!!!!"

Was all she managed.

The bay opened into an enormous cavern, easily a dozen kilometres across and deeper than he could see. Puffs of steam and green-tinged smoke rose from below, billowing up like the breath of some hidden, sleeping beast. More condensation ran down the walls. It flowed in steady streams, dripping like a lazy rainfall. Worker droids floated across the vast space on repulsorlifts, bobbing and ducking around giant rickety works of scaffolding. Narrow girder bridges linked different levels, some of them at angles that seemed impossible to negotiate without plummeting to one's death. Platforms jutted from the cavern's sides, as unstable-looking as the bridges and supports, many of them draped with tarps.

On one of them, almost directly to his right, he sensed movement and pivoted, in time to catch sight of two humanoids peeking out him. He didn’t recognise the species. He saw them for only a second before they ducked out of view again, but it was long enough. One was emaciated, tall and scrawny, with missing patches of hair along his arms and shoulders that revealed raw, chalky, peeling skin. The other was heavily scarred, what was perhaps the result of burns, perhaps chemical.

Now that he had seen them, he could see others. Almost all the miners were aliens, as varied a mix as the galaxy could offer. Yet to the last of them they appeared malnourished and sickly, many obviously injured. Most wouldn't even glance at the stormtroopers, and the few who did just as quickly looked away again.

As Ovmar gazed at the holodisplay, she realized two things. First, the ships amassed against her were utterly insufficient to resist her assault entirely, so much so that the naval officer immediately disregarded the frigate and corvettes lead by Space Cadet as they barrelled in at top speed. Second, she realized that in this engagement, while the First Order had indeed attacked in this case... they hadn't fired first. Sure, it could easily be construed as self defense against a perceived aggressor, but in the case of these other ships from other locations... that was a PR gray area. Not that she intended to do anything about it, truth be told, but after growing up in the Republic with their 'White Knight' propaganda... it was amusing.

"Captain, data signatures found."

"Bring it up on the display," was her only reply to the sensor technician's report. In moments, the ring was highlighted and sections picked out clearly.

"We don't have the exact locations of the generators nailed down, but those are the sections with the highest power draw and energy emissions. Sensor data and a good guess says that they're shield generators or power reactors, either way it'll break the power flow and do what you want."

Ovmar nodded once and looked to her gun control sections.

"Lock these positions into your targeting parameters. Once you have a solid lock, open fire with everything. Comms!" she called, getting the comm officer's attention. "Pass that along to the fleet. I want all ships, all guns, to lock onto the locations highlighted. Once they have a solid lock, fire at will."

The comm officer relayed the orders and Ovmar watched the display as the ships in her little armada locked on to the specific sections in defensive ring. After a few seconds more, presumably to properly lock onto the targets she assumed, the guns of the fleet spoke as one.

Thousands of guns opened fire, over three thousand alone from the Glorious alone, all aimed at key points on the Ring.

ABOARD THE SHIPYARD RING

"OW. CRAP. OW."

Duck and cover didn't work so well when just about seven thousand metres of warfleet started shooting at you. Getting under the desk did, however, keep the emergency inertial dampeners' momentary yet abject failure from splatting Al against the ceiling. Huddled under said desk, he scrambled to get out his datapad. He'd linked it to all the ring's whatever when he'd started this consultant contract -- how'd it go? Sekalan components, Omegan components, all made on Hypori? Squinting, he made out the feed from the station's long-range sensors. Most of that sensor feed looked like guns.

The bombardment continued; lights flickered and dimmed. Alven started thinking serious thoughts about getting away, though admittedly that was easier said than done on a structure that dwarfed command ships. He flinched as another hypervelocity round hit somewhere or other, and the ring trembled around him. His datapad offered a pretty decent set of floor plans and assorted schematics, and he'd plotted out some good routes since he started the contract here a week ago. But all those good routes connected his little office with, you know, the mess hall and the holosuite. He'd never thought he'd need them for escape purposes.

Datapadding furiously, he started running. Alright, more of a brisk jog. Had to conserve his energy.

Kriel knew why the miners looked that way. He’d seen those sort of faces before. These people weren't just frightened; they were terrified. They'd been holding position at the entrance of the bay for almost three hours when his sergeant’s radio clicked into life. The bay behind them had long before emptied of ‘troopers, the other sergeant leading the rest of the troops out into the facility. It seemed his role was to guard the transports.

"They’re sending a unit to relieve us. Once they arrive, we are to proceed to level bravo-nine-six.”

Kriel nodded his understanding and agreement.

"Confirm the order."

The ‘troopers were looking at him.

"We're being relieved," he told them. "And hopefully moving on to something a little more interesting."

Continuing to draw energy at an unheard of pace, those that were Force Sensitive would likely feel utter awe at the level showing in the Master of Mentalism. He was beyond the norm as it is, having drained the soup of an entire city, plus the feeding he did everyday, combined with two dozens Spirits Bound against their wills, made the Force Walker a devastating being alone. Combined with a Talisman of Concentration, and Lymmahtun- which is made to be an explosive vacuum of Force Energy - well he was at this point making the very air itself vibrate.

If he so chose, at this point, Damien could possibly conjure a Force Storm powerful enough to decimate the whole area! But he did not have anywhere near the knowledge required to do so! What he did have was an adept knowledge of Pyrokinesis, Telekinesis, and a vast knowledge of mentalistic abilities.

So, with that, Damien launched his senses outward, straight toward the ship that had sent the encrypted message. The ability, Force Shadow, was one that many needed to concentrate readily on, but for one so versed, it was like reading a HoloText while walking. Easy. Moving amongst the people, Damien cast his ethereal eyes around the ship he was now "aboard". Heading for the captain, he found the man, chose the anchor, and ceased his hold on the Shadow. Drawing back into himself, he found his level of energy was nearly the highest he had ever possessed...

"Galven." Damien said aloud, though in his vicinity none would hear, for the Force was instantly snatching at the words, to bring them to the ear of the man in charge, no one else would hear, "We do not know each other, but the Force has drawn me to your cause. I am here to aid you. In short time, I will be launching an attack against the minds of the ships you believe need to be shut down.

"I won't expend unnecessary energy in the fashion of conquering every mind on the crafts, but enough to grab the minds of those nearest the shielding." He continued, "From there, I can have these beings inhibit the protective layering, which will open the vessel for destruction.

"As well, expect the men of Hell's Shadow, to obey your commands as if my own. Point, and they will fire." Damien said.

Adding at the end, "Make sure to keep this knowledge limited. We do not want others to decrypt the information, and find ways to block me out."

"Sir! We're getting reports from our frontline soldiers, the enemies are bringing in air support, and our allies have only one vehicle to fight back with!" One of the bridge Officers chimed up.

"Alright, how's our distraction looking?" Galven asked, "the enemy is too distracted by the ring to realize any of our movements, they still think we are too weak and do not engage us!"

"Good."

"Get up behind them, and start firing on their engines. Open our friendly comms," Galven nodded, waiting for the Officer to note it was open. "Indomitable, Sovereign, I'm getting on that big ones rear, I'm going to try and take out its engines. I want both of you to light up its stern, if you hit it hard enough, they have to redirect their shields, and then they'll target me. Go, now! Cut comms, I want our transports to drop off our Support Platforms, send them in to support that forward vehicle!"

"Forward troops, move up, take position behind that heavy vehicle. ISP's, for the most part, take her commands, but hit anything hard that tries to hit that thing! I hope that helps... it's all I can spare..."

Galven sat back down in his chair to wait the impending doom, he had exhausted everything. At this point, it was all on Darth Pikiran. If he failed, surely Galven would not be leaving this battlefield, but that didn't scare him. All his life, this was his goal, this was the point for everything he did, all the muck he pushed through. Hopefully his death will inspire others, and remove the red blanket that smothers everyone across the galaxy. His men knew what they were fighting for. They were fighting for the safety of their own families from death and dismemberment. They were fighting for the friends and innocent people of the galaxy. The point had to be made at some point, and this action was Galven's message. That no matter how hard the enemy will fight, the scariest is those who have nothing left to fight for, and the strongest are those that have something to fight for. So no matter how badly this fight will end, the other factions of the galaxy that are allied against these enemies, will show them they do not belong here.

The amount of firepower unleashed from the small armada was breathtaking to Ovmar. She'd seen the ships in action, known how powerful their weapons were. She knew what power she had at her fingertips in the fleets she commanded, but this was... different.

She'd seen combat, earned her place in the ranks, but the First Order fleet was, for the most part, untried as of yet. Highly trained and highly motivated, the ships and fleets were second to none in their methods, but the ships and the designs had, for the most part, had yet to see action. What she saw before her showed quite clearly that for all the caution, for all the hesitancy the new doctrines had caused, they were entirely unfounded.

The holodisplay flickered and shifted before her as the battlefield changed and altered. Her ships were shown, still in formation in high orbit. Blooms of light showed where her armada's weapons had made contact with the ring below and the constant datastream showed the fluctuations in power levels of the target. Nothing solid, nothing accurate, but a broad spectrum to gauge was better than none at all. On her own ships, she spotted the telltale orange of impacts and frowned slightly.

Her opponent's frigate and corvette fleet had closed and was maneuvering to get behind her ships. An admirable death or glory move in most situations, but in this it was simply suicidal. A reckless move ordered by a commander hell bent on... whatever it was he was trying to do.

Ultimately, it was a rather pointless attempt. While normally, yes, they'd have to reangle shields or divert power to make sure the damage was minimal, the ships she had brought to the fight would be fine for the moment. The Coercers had heavy shields and powerful armor plating, something a frigate and a pair of corvettes would find highly difficult to penetrate in any decent amount of given time. Sure, the carriers she'd brought would be a bit more at risk, but she could allow their shields to reangle if needed, they were the rear line after all. As for the Glorious, the Resurgent-class was big enough that even if, somehow, the little squadron of ships could punch through the shields, the ship was far too large to worry about a trio of escorts for the moment. The ships required little to no attention for now, though what did need addressing was the toys they had brought with.

"Comms, pass along orders to all ships to begin AA fire. Bring down the enemy starfighters. The ships are of no consequence at the moment, but the starfighters can pose a more irritating nuisance. Inform the captains they may fire when ready."

At that, Ovmar turned back to the display, watching as thousands of guns poured fire into the planetary ring again and again and again.

As Galven relayed orders, Damien continued drawing more and more energy. By now, the very air around him thick and heavy, while static began to cling to everything in range. More than once a shout of annoyance could be heard from being shocked.

"Sir, the Captain of the lead vessel has ordered everyone to begin assault -" One of his commanders began, but was cut off.

"Then do so!" Damien replied curtly.

"Well, sir, as it is, I do not believe we can complete this. We need the rest of our fleet!" Came the mans voice once more.

Pondering this a moment, Damien nodded slowly, "Have them bring Barrage and Bombardment within range, but maintain enough distance to fire properly, but not be seen on radar. Then, hail Coarse, Barren, and Travesty, tell them to close the gap, and to begin assault on all enemies.

"They may have big guns, but as it is, they cannot take shots from every which way at once." Damien murmured the last bit. His eyes shone brightly through the thought process, thanks to the power gained.

"Release the Fighters!" His commander shouted, and immediately work began. In moments, smaller vessels could be seen departing towards the fore of the enemies largest ship. The Hammerheads were already designed to carry large warheads, and now their pilots were trained to propel themselves straight into the craft. A single warhead was dangerous, true, but combined with destructive force of a ship itself blowing with it?

They would need to focus their defenses. Either his own crews, bearing the largest of the ships present, or those behind them.

Plus with the soon arrival of dual Broadside-class Cruisers and three Gladiator-Class Star Destroyers, the prior armed with their deadliest armaments - Diamond Boron Missiles - ready to fire unnoticed at a distance... It was the reason for having the ships on standby nearby.

Things were going to get interesting.
