SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Can maintain and perform repairs on starships.
  • Can access and interact with computer consoles.
  • Can perform basic janitorial tasks.
  • Knows a number of dances ranging from the shuffle to the robot.
  • Is equipped with a heuristic processor allowing it to learn without instruction by doing.
STRENGTHS
  • All seeing: Milou has a wide range of sensors ranging from the traditional photoreceptor to a thermal scanner to a diagnostic scanner - in short, it has a good eye, both for potential threats and hidden boons.
  • Mobile: Both being small and being capable of hovering are great advantages when the objective is to reach spaces and places which were never intended to be reached.
  • Flexible manipulator arms: While the droid only has two manipulator arms, the heads of them can be replaced by Milou itself if given a few seconds. The storage of different arm-heads is limited but it typically carries a computer probe, servodriver, circular saw and a hydrospanner. This gives the small droid a greater range of capabilities than what may be expected by a droid of its size.
  • Elemental resistance: Milou can both take some heat and be left out in the cold without disturbance. The same goes for water and other elements - allowing for it to operate freely regardless of weather conditions.
WEAKNESSES
  • Small ball: Milou's small size can also work to its disadvantage as it can easily be overpowered and physically controlled by larger entities.
  • Ion/EMP: The droid is inherently vulnerable to ion and EMP effects as both can disable completely until a restart can be made, rendering it useless for some time.
  • Personality quirks: Quickly develops personality quirks which can make the droid's capacity to fully obey commands limited whilst it can also become more stubborn.
  • Binary: Only communicates to others via binary beeps and boops which means that it will communicate much less efficiently with those who do not understand it without the aid of text based communication forms.
DESCRIPTION
Created by Mathieu Brion after joining the Silver Jedi Concord, Milou's purpose was always to work as a scout and came equipped with all the tools needed for the job. With a plethora of scanners, the capability of hovering and manipulator arms which could help it go where it pleased, the droid was well suited for most scouting tasks imaginable. This was only amplified by its capacity to weather harsh environments.

Naturally, the droid's strong scouting capabilities came at the expense of something. The most notable disadvantage it had was its small and light size making it an easy target for bullying by larger droids or organics. While one of the droid's strengths was that it was surprisingly well equipped for its size, it still couldn't house a reader socket or any serious self defence capabilities.

The imagined function of the droid was for it to discretely check areas out and relay the information back to its owner. However, it was fully capable of accessing computer consoles and starships which meant that it could also perform sabotage actions or aid in the piloting of a vessel, allowing it to fulfill the traditional role of an astromech.

Having worked on a few project, Mathieu had started to grow more proficient in his home made technological creations. While it was still possible to see strong traces of its non-orthodox design when opened up, the internal systems still had a clear logic to their placement and layout, making it relatively easy to comprehend how it worked for anyone with moderate knowledge on droids. Milou was small enough to comfortably sit on someone's shoulder or clammer on to their back and produced a bright chirping sound when communicating 'orally'.
