ECLIPSE
They had managed to repel the invaders.
As if the evening sky had been holding its breath as well during the invasion, it started to rain. It didn't stop as they all rallied, tending to wounded and finally sending off the supply ships toward Hapes. There was no telling how long the Mandalorians would stay away. They're likely to regroup quickly.
Zhea was sitting on one of the empty crates while Markram patched up her injuries while Hobbs was standing infront of her, hands on his hips.
"Please don't send all of us off again, Ma'am." he told her, helmet under his arm as the rain plastered his black hair to his forehead.
"You were right where I needed you most, Hobbs." she told him, exhaustion clear in her voice.
"And look at all the patchwork Marky needs to do now. We came along to ensure your safety, Ma'am. The Foundation is secondary." he countered.
She skewered him with her eyes. "Am I not in command while Simon is out of commission, Captain?" she asked him.
He fidgeted. "You are, Ma'am." he said. "We would just like to keep you alive."
Zhea's look softened. "Thank you, Hobbs. But it really did mean more to me that you kept the ship and people safe." she said, then winced as Markram got to work on the deep gash on her bicep.
Just then she felt it approaching - a presence she didn't think she'd feel for a long time still. Her entire body stiffened as her face blanched, which had both disguised troopers look at her questioningly. But her eyes were already searching the entryway into the staging area next to the private spaceport. On one hand, she was happy he was awake. On the other, however...she didn't know what to expect.
She was millions of leagues aways from Teth after all.
And the rain continued to pour down.
