Denon Academy of Science
Cafe' Trio - Balcony

It was evening in the grand metropolis. Karen Roberts was just sitting down to dinner on the balcony. The cafe was a specialty of the Science Academy and often served guests and professors alike. The menu was revered for it's many original dishes all using synthetic spices grown in the bio-chem student gardens. As such, it was always an adventure in new cuisine. Something Roberts loved very much about this city. I was never afraid to try something new.

The DAS was also one of the hubs of research into Force Theory and the Jedi-Bendu Sciences. A centerpoint for information about Force Users and their many thousands of applicable religions. It was one of the reasons Karen visited the academy so often. To give talks, research advice, paid services, and to read up upon all the new discoveries in the wild world of magic. If there was anywhere in the city that a Force User would like to visit? It was the DAS. If only for the library. Well... And maybe for the dinner menu too.

"Hmm. Let's see? What shall we have today."

She drew the umbrella down to cover the glare. Returning her thoughts to food and the welcome company of evening's soft light.

It was the first time Vitor had come to the world of Denon. He had heard the science academy of this world produced significantly intelligent individuals, and as the head of Emeritus Industries, it was his duty to try and get the minds of this world to become employees of his corporation, so the latest in technology could be implemented into new starcraft. For now, he had chosen to eat at a cafeteria with intriguing cuisine, sitting a table away from a woman that radiated the power of the Force.

Assumedly, he did the same to her. It was a question of who would make the first move.

Force sensitives were no strangers to the Academy. With all the science behind the mysticism, it was kinda surprising there weren't more around too. As such, Roberts paid no mind to the other auras about the building. They were as common as the books on the shelves and the fish tacos on the lunch menu. So her patience lingered mostly on the meal to come and not the patrons beside her.

The waiter approached and she talked and mingled. Ordered and asked. Appetizers, drinks, and a comment on the specials too. There was no live music tonight and the sounds of the big city were lingering on her mind. She liked it here. This big city of science and adventure. It would be the perfect place to spend an evening alone.

However, noticing a stranger's curiosity lingering nearby. Karen turned to [member="Vitor Imperieuse"] and smiled. He must have been here for a late dinner too. Fancy that.

"Hi there..." He smiled, having stepped over to the booth within which Miss Roberts now sat. "Name's Vitor. I'd stopped here for a bite to eat, and I couldn't help but notice you." Having vibrant blue hair of such a shade that it penetrated deeply into the soul of the man. "So, if I'm not prying to deep, what's your reason for being on-world? Business?"

He was a delightfully awkward fellow when it came to starting conversation.

Ah. A fellow scientist. Lovely. Karen stood and offered the man a seat,

"Welcome to the DAS, Vitor. Please. Have a seat."

She sat back down and enjoyed the evening sun. Glad to have the company.

"And yes. I'm here on business with Doctor Calloway down in Holographics. Nothing special. Just stopping by for a late dinner. And yourself?"

Karen smiled and gave a happy wave. Eager to kill the time.
