I got the same issue.. at times when I try to mention someone, depending on who it is it doesn't seem to wanna work.

Maybe if we tried to hit the mention system with a hammer, would that fix it?

You cannot mention yourself.

I suspect it's your first name is too short, we notice that names with an ' in the first 3 usually fail.
