Meeting the shadow

The great jedi temple on Ossus.

It had been some time since last he'd set foot in the inner chambers of the jedi temple on Ossus.

Last time he'd been here he had been admitted to the order as a whole. a ritualistic procedure all padawans went through.
the temple had at that time been a disappointment to Mantic who had imagined something else, inspired by the great paintings of the jedi strongholds of the core worlds. But, they did not exist any longer. Or was it that they had turned into tools of the dark side under One sith rule.

Regardless, it mattered little any longer. Mantic had come to the conclusion that most senior Padawans had. The most important stronghold of the jedi is in their heart and mind. While the buildings serve as a symbol and point of meeting for many jedi they were important. But a jedi council could just as easily be held in a cellar if it were up to the jedi. the outside world however, did, perhaps unaware of it themselves, demand a certain flair to hold the status and regal position most considered the jedi to represent.

His thoughts touched in with these ideals for a moment while he was waiting to be allowed entrance by the secretary..
Mantic exhaled and relaxed. He tried to clear his thoughts from all the dark memories he carried with him. It was hard, he knew the technique but had not mastered it yet. Images of red eyes, dark shadows and plots hidden within plots rushed passed his eyes.

He was seated outside of the office of Master [member="Kian Karr"] - councilor and jedi shadow master. The one Mantic considered to be the jedi's counterpart to the republic intelligence.
If anyone knew what to do with the information he had it would be Master Karr.
Secretly Mantic held a desire to ask for further guidance and advice from the master, but he knew they were very busy and to much time spend on a mere padawan might not be the wisest choice in these dark times.

Still, one never knew.
