Meeting the New Staff

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"And the siin are?" Now he was a trite but more than curious as he tightened his grip. "That said - I've never been a fan of saying 'son' or 'daughter' when calling my kids. Perhaps... Something more conventional would be a better option."

Patiently, he waited - waited for a moment he could finally do what he knew he needed to do. "As is - you always seemed like someone who enjoyed the Rite of Pain. Was there a Rite of Pleasure as well?"

The more she thought - the closer he got.

Nox barely reacted as his grip tightened.
"Siin is the word in the Dark Tongue for the uninitiated, outsiders, whatever word you wish to use. I am a darrcen, one of the Chosen, or enlightened."
Her smile grew.
"There is a Rite of Pleasure, yes; but it is reserved for very special occasions. It's conducting has been known to involve entire chapters of the Hands at once."

"Why that sounds quite splendid... But now I'd like to know about..•

As he trailed off, the focused attack was soon unleashed. He had focused his power, forced his energy to e it's in the realm of the mind. With what could only be described as a mental assault, Vitor attempted to break the Sith acolyte - in an attempt to make her spill to him everything he had waited for. If he was successful, perhaps he would get answers, even as he held her tightly.

"About who sent you to me. About what your mission was, and about what your true plans were for using our child."

Nox gasped as he initiated his mental attack, holding her tightly as he attacked her mind. She had been told what mental attacks were like, but nothing could prepare her for the harsh reality.
"I. . .I . . . must. . ." Nox managed to hold her hand in front of her mouth, sinking her teeth into the side to prevent her from talking, and to give her some pan to concentrate on. She must resist, she must resist!
She locked away her important memories behind meaningless ones, spamming her mind with miscellaneous information. Perhaps it would keep him at bay long enough for her to recover. She was no mentalist, and would eventually be defeated, but perhaps her initial defense would throw him off.

"You must nothing." Vitor raised his right hand, moving to pull her left hand away from her mouth, using his elbow to keep her arm away as he brought his hands to the sides of her head, slid underneath her arms and holding her tight, mere centimeters from his own face as he pushed even harder on her mental barrier. "You will tell me who sent you to me, and why you were sent to me." He moved closer. "You will tell me what you intend to do with our child. And most of all... You will understand how wrong you've been."

He smiled - taking a more dominant role felt strangely satisfying, especially considering what he had been through. And yet... he couldn't hurt her.

"Think about your situation, Nox. You've spent your entire life having suffered. Having been given the short end of the stick. And because of this, you have an insatiable lust for - something. I don't know what it is, but I will find out. And when I do - perhaps you'll see that this isn't the life you deserve. You deserve to be happy - truly happy, not artificially made high by some sense of childbearing accomplishment." He frowned. Looking down at her slightly swollen abdomen.

"Look at you. You didn't create this child from love, or from a desire to make a family. You made her because you believed that she could be some sort of tool. Some way you could finally have control over someone. When your daughter grows up, gets to experience the normal life you never got to have - do you think she's going to want to interact with you when she finds out that you never loved her and her father? Think of the family repercussions - think of more than yourself. Think of love."

He frowned, holding her a bit tighter even as he continued to push into her mind.

"I. . . I was sent. . ."
Dammit, what was wrong with her?! She was better than this, she was stronger than this! But his intrusions into her mind were just so powerful, and she was feeling so damn weak. . . The young woman screamed in pain, finally giving up.
"I was sent to seduce and take control of you and your business, to turn you to the Sith."
By the Shadow, what had she done?! She had betrayed her Masters, had given in to a siin. She was worthless, nay, less than worthless. She was lower than the dirt her boots stomped on.
Tears ran down her face, and she squeezed her eyes shut. It was too late, now. He had bested her.
"I had your child to manipulate you, to hold a measure of control over you. I. . .I. . .I. . ."
She trailed off, her eyes staring into the distance. What was she to do, now? Now that she was a traitor?

He looked into her eyes. Her yellow eyes - they had once seemed so piercing. So seductive. And yet here they were, tears flowing from them even as he continued to pressure in on her mind, passing the memories of what she had been sent here to do. "Nox... You have good in you. I know what you were sent here to do - and I'm sorry that I had to do this to get the truth out of you. But you deserve a better life. You don't deserve to be forced into a life of using your body to achieve such goals." There, he felt it - something true, something sincere at heart within Nox's spirit.

"In the end, there's always been a bit of you that's screamed to get out. To be free. To live your life the way you want to. You just need someone willing to help you... And I'm willing to. Even after this." He moved in, stopping the pressure and slowly wrapping his arms around Nox in a tender embrace.

"Please... Don't think about what your life has been like. Think about what it could be."
