Meeting the New Staff

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
[member="Nox"]

It had been two weeks since Vitor had attended the funeral of his former secretary. Her death in a skycar accident had been extremely unfortunate - but accidental. As it was nowadays, he had called in the woman who was now his new secretary to his office. There were several things they needed to discuss, chiefly with regards to protocol. That said, he knew little if anything about the woman the company had selected for him. Perhaps it was a chance to sit down and talk about things.

Who knew how it would turn out...

These heels were very uncomfortable.
That was the thought going through Nox's mind as she walked through the office, dressed in a bland conservative blouse and skirt. Her assignment was simple. Convert [member="Vitor Imperieuse"] to the Sith cause, through any means necessary. Currently, that meant going undercover as his secretary. From what she understood, the last one had been assassinated in a skycar accident, at the cost of a Sith operative. She didn't feel particularly sorry for the last comrade. It was what they all knew would happen when they joined the Sith, and he had served his purpose.
But that's not what she was worried about.
Now, she was on her way to meet the target. Her Force aura was hidden, and her sickly yellow eyes had contacts in them to turn them into their natural pale blue. The top couple buttons on her blouse were undone, but otherwise was completely straight and proper. Her job was simple; seduce her boss.
She entered the office, putting a somewhat nervous smile on her face.
"Hello, Mr. Imperieuse. I'm Nox Tahlee, your new secretary."

"Ah." He smiled. "Nice to meet you, Miss Tahlee." Reaching out a hand, he smiled, giving her own a shake. "Welcome to Emeritus. Good to have someone who's eager to serve in a secretarial role. I looked over your resume. A bit sparse, but I enjoy seeing people given opportunity so they can grow and get better as life goes on." Sitting down at his desk, he motioned for her to sit down across from him. "So, I'm going to lay out for you the basics of your duties as a secretary. There are some things you'll need to be aware of. First and foremost is that you will have no access to the files on my datapad. The only information you will have available are company meetings. Second, you are not to let anyone take the secondary shaft elevator under any circumstances unless I give you permission. Understood?"

They were simple enough rules, certainly.

Nox took a seat in the chair, smiling as he explained some simple rules. She now had a new objective: obtain the files on his personal datapad. The assassin just kept smiling, nodding her head.
Don't let anyone take the elevator, and don't look at his datapad. She had no intention of following those rules if they impeded her progress in her mission, but her target didn't need to know that, did he?
"Of course, Mr. Imperieuse. Those seem like very simple rules."
She laid on her charm, her deceptive smile radiating a sense of happiness and eagerness to get started in her new job.

"Excellent!" He smiled, relaxed as best he could be, deliberately ignoring the unbuttoned portion of her blouse. "In that case, head over to your secretarial position and get started. We have a long day ahead of us, to say the least." Still he remained ignorant of her future plans, unknowing of how dangerous she was. She would be an eternal thorn - or even worse, something more.

"I believe I have a meeting soon..."

The job itself wasn't too difficult.
Taking calls, keeping track of things, menial tasks of that nature. It was certainly new to the assassin, and she struggled to constantly keep a smile on her face. It wasn't in her nature to be cheerful, but for the sake of the mission, she had to. Nox the Secretary was a very cheerful person, unlike Nox the Assassin, who rarely had a smile. If she wasn't careful, she might start getting face cramps.

Near the end of the day, Nox knocked on her target's door, opening slightly.
"Mr. Imperieuse? I had some questions I wanted to ask you, if you don't mind."

"Sure thing!" He responded, giving her the opportunity to open the door and enter the room. Again, he sat down on the far side of the room, wriggling his legs a bit to get out the feel of pins and needles. "You're new. I assume that's the main reason you're asking questions." Leaning back, he placed his datapad face-down on the table. "Please, go ahead and ask away. I'd be more than willing to answer any questions you might have."

How tenuous a situation - still, she seemed to be taking the job well.

She studied him carefully.
He seemed eager to leave, eager to get out of his office. She couldn't blame him, honestly. She was ready to leave, herself. But she couldn't. Not yet. She had a job to do.
"I was just curious as to your stance on the Sith. I apologize if that's inappropriate, but I have found it's hard to find others intelligent enough to keep up with modern politics these days."
There. Stroke his ego a bit, make him feel good about himself. If there was one thing men loved, it was flattery.

"Your flattery is... appreciated. That said, the Sith of today have done many horrible things. Some of their names rise above others in the atrocities they've committed, but it's the same old thing. The same as back when I was young." He sighed. "Back then, a mere seventy years prior to when I was entombed, the One Sith - the real One Sith - purged the entire planet of Mon Calamari of life using a specially created virus. Ninety percent of all Mon Cals were killed, with a mere ten percent escaping on a myriad of starships."

He sighed, looking down at his powered-off datapad. "Then there were all of Palpatine's crazy designs. Plenty of interesting tales about the Eclipse, or the Galaxy Gun. Or the Death Stars." He motioned to a fragment of metal serving as a paperweight on his desk.

"What about you? What are your thoughts on them?"

Hmm. So, he was anti-Sith. . . Nox had her work cut out for her.
"I believe that the Sith are swiftly becoming the new dominant force in the galaxy. The Republic, the Coalition; they are stagnating, no one can deny that. Meanwhile, the Sith only grow stronger with each passing day. Soon, every group may have no choice but to deal with them."
She pretended to check a timepiece, frowning.
"It would appear I've taken enough of your time. Thank you, Mr. Imperieuse. I found your views fascinating."
She walked out, a smirk on her face. Give him a taste of her mind. She found that men in positions of power like him enjoyed intelligent conversation with others, and often felt alone. Hinting that she felt the same may have just ignited a spark of curiosity within him.
Either way, she felt that her first day was rather successful.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Several Days Later

Despite the... seemingly unusual views his new secretary held, Vitor had to applaud her. She had performed admirably in her role within the company ever since her first day on the job. Now it was time to come in for one last day on his work week before he returned back to Zahat'n'ira, managing things from a distance. As he headed up the building's primary elevator shaft, he smiled, feeling quite cheery that he would see Lilith again when he got home - assuming she wasn't on a business trip like usual.

Only a few steps away from the door.

[member="Nox"]

There.
She finished unbuttoning the top half of her blouse just as she got the message on her communicator: He's outside the office.
She tossed aside the communicator as she sat on the desk, leaning back as she crossed her legs, biting her lower lip. Over the past few days, she had attempted to drop hints to her target of her interest. A flirtatious word here, a wardrobe malfunction there; and now, she was going to see if she could act on it. She had to admit, her interest in him wasn't entirely feigned. He was attractive, and nothing drew her more than power; and [member="Vitor Imperieuse"] certainly had plenty of that.
As the door opened, she let her hair down from it's bun, biting her lower lip.
"Hello, Mr. Imperieuse."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
For a moment, Vitor was stunned. Here was a woman, her brassiere exposed to the elements even as he found himself frustrated with what she was doing on his desk. "What... Miss Tahlee... This is exceptionally inappropriate." He crossed his arms in frustration. "Look at you... Why would you try to make unprofessional advances towards me like this?" Silently, he hoped he wouldn't have to use any of the power at his disposal. "Give me one good reason I shouldn't fire you and send you home right now."

He was quite serious about this - no level of attractiveness would stop him from doing the important thing and showcasing respect to his co-worker.

[member="Nox"]

An expected response from one of his stature. He hadn't dropped more than the cursory glance at her since they had met, but she had something for him now. Something that would hopefully give her the edge in this conflict.
She allowed her Dark force power to leak out, just a little. Not enough to identify her as the Sith she was, but just enough to give her a dark, mysterious air. She had also removed her contacts prior to him entering the office, and looked directly into his with her now yellow eyes.
"Because you want me just as much as I want you, Mr. Imperieuse?"
She bit her lower lip.
"No one has to know. It can be our dirty little secret."
Her yellow eyes stared at him, heart pounding as she waited.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
[member="Nox"]

"By God..." He shut the door, locking it down solidly as he stared back into the enrapturing yellow eyes. "You're one of them, aren't you. A Sith. You're here to ruin my company, aren't you? All because we provide the means to the Republic and Galactic Alliance to fight back..." He took a step towards her, proceeding onwards until they were finally face to face. "There is only one woman I love. And that's my wife. As is - the room is sealed. Either you will wait for security to take you into custody, or you can attempt to fight. I don't want to hurt you."

Perhaps that was a sign of care - or perhaps it was that moral code of his showing again. Who knew?

He could kill her. Easily. And they both knew it.
She couldn't back down, now. She had played her hand, and at this point, she had only one real option left. The assassin knew what she was about to do was risky, but she hadn't come this far to fail here. She wouldn't become just another statistic on some Sith Lord's desk.
So, with her life at stake, Nox did the only thing she could; she grabbed onto her target's shirt, pulled him to her, and crashed his lips to hers.
Her heart pounded in her ears as she awaited his reaction, feeling the adrenaline pump throughout her veins.
This was it. The moment of truth.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
The taste of the darkness on her lips, of a budding bundle of foul corruption nestled within her otherwise beautiful frame, shocked him immensely. A conflict tore through his mind. On one hand - this felt good. It reminded him of the torrid passion he had felt when Lilith had come to him all those years ago. And yet - he had loyalty to uphold. He simply couldn't let that all get thrown away.

"You're going to need to start giving me some answers." He gripped her shoulders, eyes gazing back into her own. He would still resist. "You will never break me."

[member="Nox"]

There! That moment of hesitation, that moment of giving in to the temptation, that was what she needed!
Like the huntress she was, she pounced upon that moment of weakness.
"What is there to answer?" She purred, allowing the darkness and corruption inside of her to enter her voice. "I only want to make you happy, sir.
Wouldn't it feel good to give in? To allow it? To give in to the passion boiling inside of you?"
With every word, she leaned closer, leaning in to whisper into his ear: "Wouldn't it feel fantastic to just let us both have what we want?"
[member="Vitor Imperieuse"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Yes." He responded, still staring back into her eyes. "Yes it would. But for the sake of my wife, of my kids - I simply can't be with you. It would... Be nice to experience whatever degree of sin you're offering. But I have to decline. I'm sorry."

A frown crossed his lips - the trace of sincerity in her words seemed... Unusual for a Sith.

[member="Nox"]

No, no, no, no!
She was losing him!
"No one has to know. Your wife, your children; they don't have to know. It can stay between us, stay our dirty little secret."
Nox's yellow eyes stared into his, full of passion.
"No one else has to matter. All that matters is right here, right now; and right now, I want you, and you want me."
She began toying with his clothimg, and would continue to do so unless he stopped her. She was winning him over, she could feel it. She just needed a bit more time.
