Meeting of Interest

Tydus looked at [member="Lady Kay"], she was a very interesting women, he'd have to keep a closer eye on her now that she caught his attention. He opened the door wider to show all he was doing was some paperwork on good old paper. It wasnt illigal to use paper as a way to keep track of things, most people just used data pads simply cuz it was easier. Tydus liked paper cuz it made it easier for him, he already was part computer, writing was easier then typing for him, made him feel more human.

"Hide from you Madam President, of course." He already knew she suspected him. He was an easily suspicious man, working in the shadows and all. He opened his palm to direct her to a Chair, "Would you like to sit, maybe have a cup of tea with me, unfortunately I'm gana have to ask your friend to stay outside, here he can check the warehouse." Out of nowhere he pulled a Data Pad from behind his back and handed it to the Bodyguard.

[member="Tydus Wryeens"] was only one to suspect of something because of Jaster. The man had always had a trick up his sleeve, had a way of playing her and she didn't want to be fooled this time.

Kay stepped into his office, pausing only when Tydus asked for Einon to leave. The two of them exchanged glances. The datapad was handed to him and he gave her a subtle nod before stepping out of the office. As the door was closed however, he just remained in the hallway. The President was his charge afterall and he wanted to remain close.

After he had gone, Kay continued to the chair and sat down, with a polite smile. "Tea would be lovely, thank you."

Tydus nodded and let [member="Lady Kay"] in. He closed the door not looking back at the bodyguard, he walked over to his desk and opened a draw. He then pulled out a tea set, with a selection of tea, most of which were more fruity and sweet. "I hope Blumfruit tea is fine, it's a more sweet tea?"

Kay looked to the tea set that [member="Tydus Wryeens"] happened to have pulled out from his desk. Funny. One would think that that was her own desk. But she had to remember that others liked tea as well, so she shouldn't be that surprised.

"That'll be fine, thank you. And I don't take any cream or sugar. Just black is great. So, how are things progressing here? You seem to be stocking quickly enough."

Tydus nodded at [member="Lady Kay"], he rather enjoyed Blumfruit tea, on his travels he was told Jedi of the old days drank it to relax. In truth though he just enjoyed he taste of the sweet tea. He chucked under his faceplate, this tea had a more clear brown look to it so he would find it entertaining to see how she saw the tea not being black. He walked over to a corner of his office and pressed a button on the table, a panel opened and a small electric stove rose, next to it was a small filter sink. He filled the tea kettle with water and placed it on the stove. He didn't look at miss Kay, just answered.

"It's goin quite well actually, the trade business has always been a bombing business, plus now with the chaos of both the Sith and the Republic, much of the core worlds feel they need to arm themself." He set the kettle down and walked back to the desk, he didn't sit, but instead pointed to his mask, "I hope you don't mind, it quite uncomfortable to drink under this."

Without waiting for a response, Tydus took off his mask by pressing a button near his neck and the scale armor retracted there. He then lifted up his mask and took it off, pleasing it on the desk. His silver eyes and strong features centered his face. Medium long hair fell from his head drooping down into his face, he slicked it back using his cybernetic limb that wasn't putting the faceplate down. He had a slightly grown beard, more on the stubbly side, and his shin thin and sharp made the stubble look good on his face.

Kay nodded as [member="Tydus Wryeens"] spoke of the Core worlds feeling that they need to arm themselves. "Yes. I just hope that the instability with the Sith and the Republic means that the Mandalorian Crusades are over. This sector was already attacked by them, but thankfully Commenor was spared. We are doing what we can to ensure that we can protect ourselves."

Kay raised a brow slightly as he removed his mask. Well that was good. Now maybe she could study him a little better, now that she could see his eyes. A few people that she knew preferred to hide themselves behind masks, so it was nice to see when they became more comfortable to remove them when they were around her. "I can imagine that wearing it can be tiring after a while."

Tydus smiled at [member="Lady Kay"], he couldn't help but feel a little silly after all the antics he took to secure his identity. He figured doing any kind of work, he prefers to be Anonymous, he was a wanted man in several sectors of space, only known by his mask, or his glowing red eyes. However his master stated that she could be trusted and was very cleaver, so he preferred to keep things quick and to the point. He did however nod at Kay little speech about the Mandalorians, Jaster was a Mandalorian, but of a different breed then most. He was a man of science and business, they were cored in the arts of war, their entire existence was was centered on it. Hell his on-off fling was with a Mandalorian, so he knew well the furry the core worlds were now in.

"Yes, the core is in the shadow of something big, I truly feel it in the core of my being that something is coming, and the... product I offer helps more then those they hurt." Truthfully Tydus was talking about the Force, and how he felt the dark side of the Force looming around every corner lately. Tydus was currently using Force Surpression to keep himself hidden from any Sith Death Squad that still loomed on the planet, so at the moment he had no connection to the larger scale of the force. His master did inform him of something at the end of the transmission, Kay was a Force User.

The kettle whisled in the corner, catching his attention. He bowed slightly to be excused, and walked over to the small stove. "How is Commoner combating this new threat with the Sith currently in the mist of a Civil War?

Kay nodded a little, looking down a bit as [member="Tydus Wryeens"] spoke of something big coming. She felt it too, when she allowed herself to, but she wasn't quite sure of where it was coming from. Instead of believing it to be Sith related, however, she figured that it had to do with the Crusades. "War has always been all around Commenor. Usually we are safe from it. But there will be a time when we won't be. So I've been doing whatever I could to ensure our safety. Our military is being beefed up, our weapons restocked and ships from our allies are protecting us while our own are being built."

She looked over to the tea kettle while it whistled. "The Sith have left us alone. There have been no hassles from them, nor have they prevented my election. I would assume that they have other more pressing matters to deal with. As far as I am concerned, Commenor is a neutral planet under the claim of no one."

Tydus looked over the tea kettle, it was done as far as he could tell. He prepared the rest of the tea as he continued to talk, "Beefing up the military you say, well I hope you the best, the crusaders I hear are getting close."

He poured the last of the tea into nice cups, preparing it as he has for a million times he did for himself. Once he was finished he walked over to [member="Lady Kay"], placed a cup for her and backed up a step, sitting in the table, "Well if you need any assistance, I'm more then willing to assist you since you helped me gain this little gem." He looked down at the tea, smelling the blend of the tea and water, again, he loved this tea a bit too much. He brought it up to his lips and drank it as he waited for Lady Kay's responce.

Kay frowned slightly as she heard of the Crusades getting close. "Are they? We have an Embassy for the Raxis Clan being built. It's nearly complete. So that should help to prevent them from attacking. But there is nothing here that they would want anyways. The Republic is not here."

She bowed her head as [member="Tydus Wryeens"] gave her her tea. Kay picked it up in both hands, cradling the cup and smelled the aroma before taking her first sip. "It's delicious, thank you. And your assistance would be greatly appreciated. There is no such thing as too much help."

Tydus sipped on his tea, the sweetness was truly something that was to die for. He thought to himself, Clan Raxis, he had heard of them many times in his travels. Not only one of the top clans to serve under, but they were well respected for their acts of honor on the field. He looked to [member="Lady Kay"], "You seem to have built yourself a strong alliance within these chaotic times, Master Jaster was not wrong when he praised your diplomatic abilities."

He got off the desk and walked to his chair, sitting down and getting comfortable. He took another sip of his tea and set it down in front of him, looking into Kay's eyes, it seemed like there was a question that she wanted to ask desperately, but she kept it to herself. "So what is your real reason for joining me here today, Madam President?"

So Jaster praised her diplomatic abilities, did he? She looked down to her tea and had another sip of it. The tea was sweeter than she was used to, but pleasant all the same. In her mind she was doing what she needed to in order to secure the safety of the Commenori. Hopefully diplomatic alliances will be as far as she'll need to go.

As [member="Tydus Wryeens"] sat down, she looked up, raising a brow as he seemed to be studying her for a moment. Now why was he doing that? Her answer became clear when he spoke. Kay placed her tea cup down onto the desk. "I came to inspect your wares. There are a lot of people that try to smuggle illegal products and slaves through here. I'd rather have that be minimalized. We only just taken care of most of the crime lords."

Tydus made a wide smile, so it would seem that [member="Lady Kay"] may actually be telling the truth. His business was legit, all permits were signed off on, even the manifest was perfect. Of course it was all fake and the real weapons were placed deeper in the creates beneath the ones he had the permits for. Everything was so deeply buried within the company that most people would just glance over it all, but this women seemed a little more observant then normal, so he ordered all contraband and stole weapons and droids to be placed in the hide holes and hidden rooms. All the weapons he was currently carring were Sith Weapons he stole from Kuat during a Black Sun Raid. He was carring enough weapons to arm an planetary army, 3x over.

He finished his tea, then set it down, looked to his Table Data Terminal, and began to speak, "Alright then, this would be my first Contraband check on Commenor, How shall we 'Pop' my Contraband Cherry?"

Kay just had to laugh at that one. At least she wasn't drinking her tea or it would have surely come out of her nose. "Quite simple. Give myself and Einon an unrestricted tour. If you have nothing to hide, then there's nothing to worry about." She picked up her tea and had another sip, looking to [member="Tydus Wryeens"] ' eyes. "But if you are smuggling something that you think might not pass inspection, then let me know. I might be able to let a few things slide, for Jaster's sake and that's if I like your reasoning behind it..."

Tydus thought this was fun, [member="Lady Kay"] was an old friend of his master, and she figured that an old friendship would allow him some leniency. Tydus didn't smile externally, but inside, he was having a good laugh, almost breaking his concentration, and removing his Force Concealment ability. He recompose himself, and decided to throw President Kay a curve ball.

"If that the case, I smuggle Sith Comendeered weapons and vehicles across the border into republic space then neutral space where I arm Neutral Planetary Goverments to protect themselfs from a greater threat that is coming, of course I don't do this for free, that would be charity."

Tydus stood up and grabbed his tea cup, he was actually pretty thirst now, he looked to Kay, "Would you like some more tea before we tour the warehouse?"

Kay-Larr

"Yes, more tea would be nice, thank you." She held her cup out for [member="Tydus Wryeens"] to refill it. "We can drink it on our way through." Kay got to her feet, thinking of what goods Tydus said that he was smuggling. It didn't sound so bad. "Rumour has it that the Sith are leaving the area. They haven't had a presence here in a long time. So if you are smuggling their stuff, well, soon it wouldn't be considered smuggling at all. And I wonder if what you have is anything that we could use.. "

He stood up and grabbed for the cup that [member="Lady Kay"] was holding. Then walked over to the kettle again and began to pour another cup for the two of them. He was a little amazed that this conversation was now possible purchase for a planet. He stilled decided to keep the conversation going, "This is true, and governments are more then willing to gain these weapons to protect themselves, soo if you have a need, I can help."

He reached into a Hidden wall panel and placed there was a blaster. He took that out looking back at Kay, then placed it on the sink there he filled the kettle. Reaching back into the Wall Panel bringing out a Paper Ledger and placed it under the Kays tea cup and walked over to her side and placed it in front of her. "My personal ledger, has all the weapons we could offer you and your forces."

Kay raised a brow slightly as [member="Tydus Wryeens"] seemed to hesitate a bit, looking back at her while he was refilling the kettle. Something seemed a little off, but she wasn't sure if it was just her imagination. Regardless, he returned with a list of various weapons and vehicles for their use. "Might I take a copy of this? I could show it to Minister [member="Crucifere Sin"] as well as General Santiago and they could choose what we need."

She picked up her tea and had a sip. It wasn't as though she had wanted to take his personal ledger. But she did still want to go through the warehouse regardless. Maybe even see some of the vehicles and weaponry for herself.

[member="Lady Kay"]

Tydus took a step back and walked to his desk, the ledger was kept away from prying eyes. It was even written by hand and on paper so there was no electronic trail, no one used paper anymore. He took a seat at his desk, "Unfortunalty I don't let that thing out of my sight, how about we make a deal, you come back tomorrow with..... Whoevers name you mentioned, and I'll give you the tour then, that way we all win."

It would also be a big help to Tydus as it would also give him a day to get his.... Less then savory items off planet so as to not piss off the president. Of course those were in a different ledger he kept for more, open minded clients.

Kay looked down to the piece of paper and read it over a few times, putting some of it to memory. [member="Tydus Wryeens"] was stalling. Every little chance that she had suggested that they go for the tour now, he had done or said something to derail that and postpone it. Hmmm.

She got to her feet, tea in hand, and handed him the ledger. "That's quite alright. I am not quite sure of when they would have the time to come down for a tour right away. So, while I am here, we might as well do it now. It is what I came down here for, afterall." Maybe now he'll see that she can be just as stubborn as he is.
