Meeting of Interest

Planet: Commoner
Time: Mid-Noon
Place: Chasin City

Commoner... He hadn't visited the planet before, but it is well know for its position and trade potential. It was also a place where a man could get lost and forgotten by the local administration. You'd think security would be hard core, but with over a million merchants passing in and out of the planet every second, it did its best, just Tydus always found the cracks in the system. He had to pull out all the stops to pull this one off though, and even with the help of his contact, he was nearly caught by local security officers. He still made it though, he was now in the city and standing across the way of a tea house in Chasin City.

He was ordered by his master to meet some women named [member="Lady Kay"] at that Tea house. The Old Man said it would be worth his time, he couldn't have the warehouse fall into Sith hands, so if the women agreed, it would be his. His master had been absent for a few months now and the only message he receives is this, it was quite interesting enough to investigate.

He waited in the shadows until the women matching the description he dug up from one of his contacts on the planet. The stuff he learned so far was interesting, as an Info Broker he knew most stuff, but most of her life was so redacted or obscured, he figured most of it was hearsay.

Oh yes, only good things would be found on the holo-net about her. It wasn't as though Kay did a lot of bad things, but she wanted her Force sensitivity to be kept secret, as well as the fact that she had sometimes hired Sith to help her rescue slaves. One of her closest friends, an AI droid by the name of [member="Ultimatum"] made sure that any security videos and others on the holo-net were stripped of her doing anything that would get into trouble. Of course she hadn't gone on such missions for a long time.

Kay entered the Tea House with one of her bodyguards, Einon, following in behind. He eyed the little restaurant, taking note of everyone inside, before following his charge to the back. Kay had her own favourite spot to sit that gave her a good view of the entire place and also let her look outside. She took a seat at her table and right away, the servers were bringing up a cup of Sapir tea and a tray of biscuits. When they arrived, she smiled. "Any news today?"

"None today, Madame President. And as I always say, no news is good news."

The server left while Einon took a seat at a nearby table. No news was good news indeed.

Tydus took notice of the women, [member="Lady Kay"], entering the building, the bodyguard as well. To be honest he almost missed the man, but as he was walking out of the shadows he noticed a man scanning the Tea House, and that tipped him off. Tydus took note of where he was sitting and even took measures as to plan how he would enter the establishment. Once he was satisfied with the plan, he continued to walk to the door.

The entrance bell rang as to notify the workers they had a new customer, Tydus was a little started, didn't expect that. He didn't look at anyone as he memorized where everyone sat before he walked in. Made him look less suspicious, or at least then a man walking in with a black overcoat. He sat at a table so his back was facing Miss Kay. A server walked up to him, "How may I help you today, we have a menu available if you need anything."

Tydus tapped on his Metalic faceplate and looked at the young server, he spoke with a mechanized voice "No need for food, just a newspaper and fresh tea bag, the fragrent here caught my attention, I'll pay full price for the tea." The server nodded and walked away.

Will his gaze looking to the window of the store overlooking the outside. He spoke to Lady Kay, "I was told my Jaster Awaud you could help me with a little problem?" His gaze still unbroken.

Kay sipped her tea, savouring the taste and then sampling one of the biscuits. She didn't bring her datapad as her moments here were usually spent people watching and unwinding. Some might find it boring, but she enjoyed it.

[member="Tydus Wryeens"] caught her attention briefly as he approached the back and sat at a nearby table. She heard him and the server speak and then raised a brow as she heard the name Jaster Awaud. That was a name that she hadn't heard in a few years at least. And with what the stranger said, she knew that he was speaking to her, despite his back being towards her.

Kay brought her tea cup to her lips, resting her elbows on the table. In a way it his her mouth while she spoke. "Jaster?...Is he still doing well?" For the moment she didn't inquire about his problem.

Jaster, his master.... The man who raised him to be a killer and Spy, now gave him unimaginable wealth with all his left over, forgotten weapons and supplies. Then he just vanished, into thin air, never to be heard from again. To think he made friends with a very influential person as, [member="Lady Kay"], well the man may be a mystery, but he had a lot of friends. "I wouldn't know, he only sent me your name and a warehouse number, cryptic as usual."

The server brought a database with local news and a tea bag, and left. He attached a wire from his arm into the pad and with the other arm breathed in the sent of the tea bag. Smell was one of the few things he could enjoy in public, to protect his identity he always wore a Faceplate of metal. Eating and drinking were to risky in his mind and only did such things in private. His sense of smell though, he enjoyed using that as often as he could. "TC Warehouse and Spaceport 32, I've been given the deed to them, but I need government authority to make it official, Jaster said as a previous senator you might be able to help?"

Ahh yes, Jaster can be cryptic at times. She remembered that well. But she always held her word for him. Even to this day, she had not revealed the designs to his drop ships from their first encounter on Bakura.

Clearly Jaster hasn't been on top of things. Kay had another sip of her tea, keeping the cup close to her lips, hiding them while she spoke. "You need Government help, do you? Well I happen to be the President now, so I can make that deed official. But first I must know if Jaster really gave it to you. So..a test question or two, if I may. What is the name of Jaster's co-pilot and where did Jaster and I first meet?"

[member="Tydus Wryeens"]

[member="Lady Kay"]

Tydus looked over his shoulder slightly, "President? What have you gotten me into now master?" He thought to himself. He looked back at the data pad and took a sniff of his tea bag. He could almost taste the fine ground tea leafs, also a bit of lavender and vanilla for taste and aroma. It was a good choice, he'd have to tip the server a bit extra for that. Now back to the question, he remembered his master stating something like this a while back, something about Bakura with Alex.... Maybe that's what she was talking about.

He put the teabag down and looked through the data pad, "Bakura I think was where you guys meet, and that was back when Alex was still in his employ, died a couple months back." He let out a sigh. Never really got to know Alex, but still a loss was a loss.

He moved on to talk about the real reason he was here, "What's this gana cost me madam President?"

Kay nodded, indicating that [member="Tydus Wryeens"] got her questions correct. But the mention of Alex's death made her lower her head a little. She died? How? Hopefully it was while doing something that she loved.

She sipped her tea, having wanted to enquire further, but then Tydus changed the subject. "Cost you? It shouldn't cost you anything really. Just let me look at the deed and double-check it with the records."

Tydus placed the Data Pad down and opened his coat to retrave another one. He plugged in a wire that was connected to his arm and downloaded the document. Once it was compleat he unplugged Bent over to make it look like he was picking something up, and then turned around to [member="Lady Kay"], "Sorry Ma'am I think you dropped this?" Then proceeded to hand the data pad to her.

Once she had it in her hands he turned back around and back to the data pad with local news on it.

Smooth. Very smooth. Kay set her cup down and took the datapad from [member="Tydus Wryeens"] ; nodding a little. "Thank you very much." She looked over the document. It brought back her memories of when she first gone into a contract with Jaster. And oh how he had tricked her at the White Palace.

Reading over the document, she was sure that everything was in order. So she let her thumb print be scanned onto the document. Once that was done, her title appeared on the document: Madame President Kay-Larr.

She tilted her head to the side a bit and then cleared her throat a little. "Excuse me, sir? This isn't mine actually. Are you sure that it isn't yours?" Kay slid the datapad forward on the table towards him, before picking up her tea and sipping from it.

He looked over his shoulder again, placing his hand over the pad [member="Lady Kay"] was handing him, "Oh, my bad, I'll go figure out who owns it, thank you for your honesty ma'am." Tydus took the pad and sat back in his seat, downloading the confirmation of the contents before waving one of the servers over. In the last second before he handed the women the pad, he erased the data and put false data inside instead. Disconnecting he handed her the pad. "It would seem that someones left a pad here before me, could you place in the lost and found for me? Thank you." They nodded to one another and she walked away.

He went back to the news pad and went to the data inside his helmet, "Thank you very much Madam President."

Good. It worked. Though she was quite curious about the secrecy of it all. Why did [member="Tydus Wryeens"] not wish to speak with her 'directly'? Who did he think was watching? Kay sipped her tea, again keeping her tea cup up to block her mouth. "You're welcome. I'm sure that you wouldn't mind me dropping by every once in a while?"

He looked over to [member="Lady Kay"] over his shoulder, "Why would she be interested in stopping by?" He thought to himself. She's a friend of the masters so he couldn't just say no, plus she would learn of his illegal acts eventually, better to have the president of a planet as an ally instead of an enemy. "I have no argument, but let's just keep this between ourselves, I prefer to keep Sith out of my business."

He turned back to his tea back, Inhaling for a last time then speaking again, "If that will be all, I thank you."

Kay took another sip of her tea as she thought of what [member="Tydus Wryeens"] had said. So he wanted the Sith to stay out of his business? It made her wonder just what it was that he was storing in the warehouse. She'd find out sooner or later. And although she had some Sith friends and allies, she wasn't on friendly terms with the organization as a whole. "Not to worry. I won't be telling everyone about your business. Jaster knows that I can keep a secret....But yes, that'll be all." It was weird to be dismissive, yet it was expected.

Tydus look onward to the street side as [member="Lady Kay"] spoke. He didn't know if he could trust her, but if master Awaud said she was a friend and could be trusted. She was a president of a Sith border world, she had to be a close ally to them to get this position. Maybe she had changed the last time the Master had seen here, he had been missing for a few years now. He needed allies within the core worlds, he felt deep within his bones that something big was happening. He still decided to hold his doubt till he had evidence proving his worries. "It was a pleasure to meet you Madam President."

He would stand up from his chair leaving behind 100 credits for the tea bag and a substantial tip for the server. After nodding to the cashier he started to walk out. Kay knew where the warehouse was and where to find him. This would be one of the first warehouses he could store the weapons he held.

Days later, Kay decided to make a surprise visit to the warehouse. She loved the random searches that the warehouses and port securities conducted. They allowed for any illegal goods that were snuck in to be caught and seized. No security was ever perfect. Yet she tried to get it as close to perfect as possible.

Whether or not [member="Tydus Wryeens"] had enough time to get his goods inside of the warehouse was anyone's guess. Kay approached the building with her plain clothed bodyguard Einon right behind her. She listened for a moment, checking for sounds of work being done, of movement, before knocking loudly on the big door. No doubt the holo-cameras would have already picked her up. So instead of just shouting who she was, she merely waited.

The Warehouse was one of the few building that had a Starport attached to it making it convenient, and being on the side of a cliff where it was easier for the ships to land and take off. The sound of droids at work and men yelling at the droids for not being quick enough unloading a shipment. Seconds before the President nocked at the door, a Frighter had dropped into the Starport and began unloading.

A doorman Droid answered the door and stated, "Hello, the Galactic Trading Warehouse 33 welcomes you, how may I assist you today."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Hello. I'm President Kay and this is Einon. We're here to come and inspect the warehouse and make sure that everything is satisfactory."

She smiled as she waited to be allowed entry, looking past the droid and hearing even more of the work being done. Already the place was bustling. That's a good sign.

[member="Tydus Wryeens"]

The Desk Droid looked like a Protocol Droid, sleek shinning metallic frame and very stiff. It opened the door even more and welcomed [member="Lady Kay"] and her friend in, "Ahh, Master Wryeen had notified me of your arrival, I have just sent him a message of your arrival," Stated the droid. It walked ahead of them through the entry way and lead them to the Docking pad where a Dropship was being unloaded. Droids were unloading creates with no insignia in the side, as the president walked through the port, the workforce recognized her and stopped work as to why the President was visiting this port and warehouse. Miss Kay would be continues to led to a small office in the back, a window overlooked the port. A shadow of a man could be seen sitting at a table, doing work.

As the droid and Kay approached the door, the droid knocked on the door. "Sir, President Kay has arrived to speak with you."

There was a moment, then the clicking of a helmet came through the door, and the heavy foot steps of Tydus cybernetic feet walking closer. He opened the door, his face-plate appeared from the open door way, he still wore his Black Coat, but this time his hood was down. "What a wonderful surprise, but I wasnt expecting you for another hour, guess my intel was wrong." Tydus wasn't new to this kinda work, he knew planet security checks new warehouse more then the rest, but he never slips up.

Kay followed behind the droid, raising an eyebrow at the curious looks that the workers were giving her. She had thought that she was known to be approachable by anyone, and as someone that wasn't afraid of hard work. But she smiled to them anyways, bowing her head.

As the office door opened, Kay smiled to [member="Tydus Wryeens"] . "That's why they call this a surprise inspection. I can arrive late or I can arrive early. It gives me a better scope on things if people are trying to hide anything." She tilted her head to the side a bit. "You're not hiding anything, are you?"
