Saul managed to to shake his head and chuckle tiredly as they plodded along. "Trust me, I look forward for you to take all the cred cards you own out of your purse." He couldn't fault her for the cologne comment, the cyborg wasn't smelling like a bunch of daisies right now... The customers holding their noses as he held the door open for Liin comfirmed that.

Looking at one of the clerks, he quickly asked "Could I maybe get a trash bag?" Not wanting to customers to be subject to the smell, a trash bag was quickly produced and Saul took it before moving towards the changing rooms. "You can pick out an outfit for me while you do cologne shopping. I'll wear anything as long as I don't look silly in it." It would be fun seeing what she picked. Knowing Liin's sense of style, it would be interesting to see what kind of outfit or suit she picked out for him. Here's to hoping it wouldn't be covered with flowers. That wouldn't fit in his asthesic at all.

I was both a little alarmed and slightly amused as he assumed that I had a large number of credit cards on my person. It could not be further from the truth. For I may portray that of a socialite with an endless amount of credits; such a fact has no real basis in reality. There are limits to my credits upon which are mostly self-imposed.

While Saul confines himself to a fitting room; I took the liberty of picking out an outfit for him. Black seemed more proper, for it matched his hair and suited his complexion. I chose a pair of dress pants, thin turtleneck top and a blazer to finish the look off. It fell along the style of dress-casual to me.

I proceeded to the fitting room and held aloft the clothing at the top edge of the door. "
Here you are. Try these on, please. I guessed your sizes. A tailor should be on hand to adjust where needed." Once he had taken the clothing in hand, I turned and began my approach to the other end of the store.

Many fanciful bottles greeted me there. Each one carried within them many different fragrances and scents. Some of them I knew to be overpowering. So while I avoided those; I searched for something that could cover up the smell of his vomit with something not overly strong.

Of course, Saul didn't think she had more than one cred card. It was mostly just a joke made to make Liin smirk. He already knew she wasn't one to flaunt her wealth. Otherwise, she would have talked all night at the ball where they met.

Quickly putting his old clothes in the trash bag he was given, Saul took a moment to look at his barely clothed self in the mirror. He mostly looked the same, a scrawny kid looking back at him. But for some reason, when he smiled, he actually believed it. Maybe it was Liin's influence, or maybe it was being in a better situation as a whole, but Saul felt he reached the destination he needed to.

Glancing over at the door as Liin put the clothes over the door. Calling out to her before she left, he said. "Thanks, I would open the door for you, but you would probably have a heart attack." Putting the clothes on, he nodded with approval. He wouldn't wear this around the house, but for being out and about with Liin, this outfit would do fine.

There was a whole display of fragrances inside the store, and better yet, the fall fragrances had just arrived. Fragerance bottles, such as "Falling Leaves" and "Brisk Breeze," dotted the display's shelves. As Saul came out and stood beside her, he offered her a sample bottle of "Pumpkin Ponanza". "Think this is any good?"

I was nearly startled as Saul approached, for I was too absorbed in the task at hand to take notice of any others around me. Finding the perfect scent was no easy task. Unfortunately this particular store seemed to have catered more towards pop culture than fine taste.

Case in point.

Saul had brought forth a scent that seemed to be quite popular at this time of year. I merely gave my head a little shake. "
Only if you wanted to smell like a scented candle. Try this one instead." I handed him a small glass tube. The scent inside is a blend of musk and sandalwood. It may not be the best fragrance around; yet it appeared to be the best that this store could offer.

Taking the vial and glancing inside, Saul slowly uncorked it and put some on his pale skin. Taking a smell, he was surprised that the scent of the fragrance wasn't that bad. A lot better than the smell of motor oil he was used to. "It's not too bad..." He held his hand out to her to let her smell her choice, with the scent drifting into her nose. It made it feel like the android thought he was on a tropical world, lying out on a beach chair with a drink in his hand.

Glancing something out of the corner of his eye, he picked up another label. "Lavender Incense". "Try this," he said, uncorking the veil and gently bringing it up to her nose. Maybe the smell of flowers would be more of her type of smell. He could certainly see her coming out of the shower smelling like flowers. "I guess we might as well get soap while we are here too." Looking over the shelves, he spotted some soap bars they could buy in similar scents. It was hard to resist putting everything in the shopping cart.

The smell of the calogne was pleasant and not too overpowering. I nodded my head as if to confirm that very point.

However I did raise a brow as he had me smell the fragrance of another scent. It was a bit too flowery for my taste and reminded me of bath oils to help one to relax after a stressful day. "
That does not work for a calogne, no." Saul then suggested looking for soaps to purchase. Does he not have any of his own? Well, I suppose that one cannot have too many bars of soap. "I am certain that we can find soap for you in another shop. One more designated for that sort of thing."

I led the way to the cashier that quickly rung in the purchases, upon which I dutifully paid. Hopefully there are to be no other incidents soon. Yet it is something that I will surely need to log into my journal once I return to my laboratory.

As we exit the shop, my guards follow suit. Another hover-taxi awaits us on the sidewalk. "
Are you well enough to travel?"

"I meant for you but fair enough..." Saul shrugged as he put the vial back. Liin never said what her favorite scent, so he had taken a guess, the wrong one apparently. He was half ready to pay but decided to let Liin go ahead, figuring she would convince him let her pay anyways. Probably with the reasoning that she had more money than she knew what to do with. The Cyborg might as well allow her kindness while he could.

As they walked out of the store, Saul paused in his tracks when he saw the air taxi waiting for them. Lighting was supposed to never strike twice but with whatever powers he had, there was no point in risking it. "I'll walk... I'll meet you back at your place." Giving her a smile and a wave before heading off, he wondered if Liin would be glad to not be in the same speeder with a human live wire. He knew he would.

He had meant it for me? How curious as this was a store tailored for gentlemen and not ladies. Yet I did not say anything more on the topic, lest he get embarrassed.

The decision to walk was a curious one as well. Yet I am not one to argue for I carry a stubborn streak as well. I would not even be in this situation at all were I not stubborn. Instead I would probably be trapped somewhere doing menial tasks. In some respects I am trapped here too; in a rather elaborate and large gilded cage. But it is an acceptable one for now.

Outside of my research I have nothing to do. So it is a good thing that my research takes up the majority of my time. Once it is completed and providing that I do not die because of it; I will probably retire on a quiet little planet that no body cares about and work on some paintings. Afterall, I am no hero, no warrior, no savior of anything or anyone. Only my research has an impact on the Galaxy. Not me.

I slip into the hover-taxi; followed by my guards. At least this one smells better. It is a quiet ride back to my apartment and I am eager to get there so that I may jot down some notes in my journal.
