Mecrosan Confusion Mesh

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

 • Intent: To provide the Mecrosa Order with a manner that allows them to conceal themselves through the use of their lightfoil

 • Canon Link: N/A

 • Restricted Missions: N/A

 • Primary Source: N/A; it’s just a new lightsaber component

PRODUCTION INFORMATION

 • Manufacturer: The Mecrosa Order

 • Model: Mecrosan confusion mesh

 • Affiliation: Mecrosa Order

 • Modularity: None

 • Production: Limited (Mecrosa Order, or those a Mecrosa Order member gives the mesh; just remember that it is usually only produced as needed)

 • Material: Force-augmented silk

SPECIAL FEATURES

 • Forgetfulness - Mecrosan confusion mesh causes those who the wielder of a lightfoil doesn’t want to remember their faces, or signature traits to not be able to store those traits in their long-term memory by emitting radiation through the blade of their lightfoil. Sometimes the memory fills things in, and this can result in even more confusion. The blade of a Mecrosa Order member could be remembered as being an ancient Sith blade, being green, or even being read. Their armor could be imagined as being Mandalorian armor. Their faces could become that of someone who doesn’t even exist (or who was seen on the street moments before a battle). Of course, what happens in the memory in terms of what is filled in by the brain is up to the player of a character.

 • Electronic Blurring - Similarly by emitting radiation through the blade of the wielder’s lightfoil, electronic recording devices will feature the inability to store things in the long-term. After an engagement, recordings of a Mecrosa Order member will probably disappear after 15 seconds.

Weaknesses:

 • Replacement - Mecrosan confusion mesh has to be replaced once every 3 months depending on how much a wielder’s lightfoil is used, as the silk that it is made out of, despite being modified and strengthened by the Force, will inevitably disintegrate thanks to being exposed to intense trauma.

 • Training - Mecrosa Order members often find themselves needing to train so that they can use the Force to select those who aren’t affected by the Mecrosan confusion mesh.

DESCRIPTION

The Mecrosa Order has made a bit of a comeback in the last 851 years, with a resurgence that sees it surpassing its former height. Access to once obscure force abilities, rapid growth thanks to the Tapani sector’s comparatively large amounts of force users to other regions of space, and the production of secret and valued lightfoil components are just part of the benefits of this. About 3 centuries ago, Mecrosan confusion mesh came into use as a way to allow Mecrosa Order members to have more versatility in what was once limited to assassination missions. It is a prime example of the Order’s craftsmanship capabilities, and their understanding of the Force. Mecrosan confusion mesh, however, is not a magical substance. While it can prevent memories of the voice, facial features, and other identifying traits from being remembered, it does not allow a Mecrosa Order member to actually manipulate or fill in the memory when it comes to these things. It also doesn’t remove the memories of entire encounters from the minds of others. The confusion mesh is placed near the crystals, and allows a lightfoil blade to produce a kind of radiation (or at least that’s one word for it) that helps to prevent others from remembering things that would help them identify a Mecrosa Order member. Because of its nature, users of this substance have to train to learn how to make use of the Force to properly use the mesh so that it doesn’t affect allies.

You seem to have accidentally omitted the headings from the submission. Please add those back in, and tag me once you're finished.

Okay, three things.

Firstly, this definitely falls under the rules about alchemization. As such, you'll need to complete restricted mission.

Alchemized Artifacthttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_alchemys/Items [including methods of Force Imbuement, Alkahest, Jal Shey, etc] that provide Major Force benefits

 • Embark on a quest to research, locate and recover or create the alchemized, Force Imbued, Force artifact/item in question. There is no set post limit, though you should tell a complete story.
You'll also need to add in some real weaknesses. How long does the effect last? What weaknesses does it have? How is it affected by ysalamir or voidstone?

The wording of your submission also needs to change. Here in the factory, we're not big on absolute statements. You can say that your product may hide the user, but you can't say that it absolutely will. It's up to the opposing writer to determine whether or not it works on them.
