Description:
The Hope-class Cruiser is a specialty vessel designed from the hull of aging Liberty-class vessels. The warships are modified for a humanitarian role and for Civilian use when necessary. Once the Mon Calamari used their civilian vessels as modified warships now they have given back to their ancient practices. The older warships of the Liberty and liberation class are dry docked and modified heavy emphasizing on endurance. Additional framework and bracing are added so that the vessel can handle entering the harshest of atmospheres While the class does not equip the powerful quad military shielding it does have the triple redundancy standard Mon Calamari shielding giving it very good shielding from both weapon fire and spacial and atmospheric energy and particles. Almost all of the weapons of the class, including well as their power systems, have been removed. This makes way for the additional hanger space for shuttles and rescue craft as well as medical and science facilities needed for its specialized role. Only a small load out of defensive weapons batteries was retained to defend the vessel from attack craft and projectiles while inserting into a combat or disaster zone. Atmospheric operation equipment provided by Ringovinda Systems allows the vessel to enter atmosphere and preform humanitarian and rescue operations. Landing gear and additional landing systems provided allow the vessel to make planet fall and land in the harshest of environments and landscapes. The large hanger allows vessels up to fifty meters to land and repair if needed. Secondary storage hangers hold shuttle craft, support craft and rescue vehicles needed for its role. Accommodations for seventy five thousand refugees is located just forward of the hanger section. The area is equipped with the latest medical facilities and has a recreation area for long term deployment.
