Strengths:
- Nimble and fast stock ship
- Two turrets can be used independently of one another
- May be submersed
- Weaker frame than most ships in its class
- Turrets must be manually fired or the speed and maneuvering capabilities drop
- Limited processing power
- Not the best long term vessel, will require frequent repairs if used as such
Description: Created using the Mon Calamari contracts from Silk Holdings, the Isurus shuttle is a standard shuttle designed to fulfill the role of a patrol, pursuit and blockade running personal shuttle. Similar in construction and design to Silk’s Niathal shuttle, this vessel provides another loadout possibility and a focus for another market. While not a straight forward fighting vessel, the Isurus’s design is based around its ability to make snap turns in atmosphere and zero-G as well as to lose most pursuit of similarly sized vessels.
Designed to be launched from anywhere, and with traditional Mon Calamari engineering, the Isurus is water tight, and hence, submersible allowing for it to be launched and landed under water, as well as being parked on water. This ship and its ability are one reason it is used by police forces from a variety of central and rim worlds, and also why it has been found being used by many smugglers, and pirates.
It is ironic as well, seeing as this ship can be used for bounty hunters and police forces and even equipped with a prison to hold up to three passengers with standard rations with relative comfort, or nine passengers in cramped quarters and meager rations. This is in addition to the 160 cubic meters of cargo space.
The ship is designed with a sort of utilitarian luxury. With consumables for up to 3 months for a standard crew of five, the vessel is very industrially designed inside. Quarters for the captain are separate from the crew dormitories with private sleeping pods for each of the remainder of the crew, as well as room for an additional four passengers, the Isurus does not center its design around carrying personnel in the best comfort, though many have been designed as such in the after market.
Development Thread: NA
Intent: To provide an additional Mon Calamari vessel for use by planetary policing forces, and blockade runners alike.
