Saki - Saki System - 15:21 Local time

@[member="XV-265"]

These were bleak times for the Black Sun Syndicate. Their capital under control of the Republic. Most of their leaders scattered to the winds or hiding under a rock. At the moment there was really only Vex and himself. Mr. Ash was taken captive and his whereabouts unknown. Many spies of course were working on finding the droid. He wasn't some replaceable scrap bot. But it would take time to find where they sent him, and if there was even anything left to save. And actually there was some fellow named Chupa making some sort of hooplah. And a Hutt; but whether he was on the side of the Republic or not was an unknown. But Rayl hadn't the slightest about either of them. They both needed to be drawn out and delt with though. A tired exhale escaped him. Things would turn around for them, once they got the house back in order. Today though was not another tedious restructuring bore, least for the moment. Quite the opposite as he hoped this to be the first true blow set against the Republic. The Deck of 52 had been a fantastic idea on paper, and some swift bold action to save face. But in truth it had been an abysmal failure. It wasn't for a lack of proper accounting, there was plenty of money to be made. Mercenaries and the galaxies other vagabonds were simply to scared or something to go after the Jedi and Republic. If they really were of course, they were a despicable worthless meatsack. But what can you do, other then wait and scheme.

Now as for today. Rayl had gotten into contact with XV-265 through a mutual friend. This mechanicus was an ancient hulk of steel. And like any droid who went to live a rogues life they'd either a glitch or were programed to be crazy murderers. But they were fearless, a trait he needed. The location for the meeting was a beach side rendezvous at a nice cafe. Saki was a nice industrialized tropical planet. No Zeltros, but nice in its own little way. Now why a cafe you may ask? Well, Rayl liked coffee. And Saki was his new base of operations inside Sun's territory, why not go somewhere nice to do things.

Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.
Loud footsteps could be heard. It were the mechanical footsteps of a droid walking towards a small cafe near a beach on Saki. It was easy to recognize that the droid wasn't one made for serving living beings. He was made to stop living beings. From what you might ask, well stopping their lives of course. He was the perfect droid for that job. He was fearless, had a flamethrower, blasters, blades, etc. and the best part was that he enjoyed killing. It was the only thing he was really good at. It didn't matter if he had to snipe someone from high distances, fry people with flames, break their bones, cut them in half, etc. as long as it involved killing, he was good at it. That was probably the reason a pirate called ''Rayl Wilded'' had contacted him. The droid always listened requests, especially those from criminal organizations and the likes since they usually want someone dead.

''Are you the being who calls itself Rayl Wilded.'' Said an voice. It was a deep and mechanical voice, one of the voices only droids could have.

Thundering steps shook his coffee cup on the saucer. Rayl gingerly picked it up so the rattling china wouldn't disturb his drink. "It seems he's arrived". The few other people scattered to their own groups about the cafe were not its regular customers. They were his own men, officers and vagabond tag-a-longs. Well behaved enough when sober to be in such an establishment and not cause any damage. The others took notice of the disturbance and fell silent. Shortly after the robotic mercenary was in the building! As he drew near Rayl took no effort to break away his sight; fancying to take a sip of the coffee again.

''Are you the being who calls itself Rayl Wilded.''

The china was set back to its resting place, the floor pounding ceased for the moment. "In the flesh. And you are XV-265, meeting my call for work". Rayl finally looked up at the mechanicum man. Quite large, stocky in build, and a bit taller than him. "Have a seat if you think the chair can hold you".

The droid didn't move. ''That is not important. I need more information about the work you are offering me. What will I get if I work for you. What would I have to do.'' The monotone voice of the droid rang again. The droid had already guessed that it would involve killing, why else would someone hire a droid built for combat. XV assumed that Rayl was some kind of high ranking pirate, but now that he was here it was obvious. All the men around him didn't look like they fit in with a cafe like this. They looked to much like pirates and they were probably under the command of the fleshling sitting in front of XV. He was amused when he saw how many Rayl had brought with him. Those pirates were most likely here to escort and/or protect Rayl, but they wouldn't be able to stop him if he decided that the deal was unsatisfactory. It would be easy to kill the men, they had little cover and they stood lose to each other. Perfect for a flamethrower or a couple of grenades. Bur enough of that, let's get back to the deal.

now I remember why I don't rp much with this character, I almost completely lost my muse for him.

"Concise and to the point I see. But I can't just go and spill my wishes without knowing some things about you. I've only the most basic knowledge of your background. Tell me of your work, and who've you worked for or with. Things like that. I hope you can appreciate that I've made a grand amount of enemies the last few months, and I need to be sure who I can trust deep down, mind or code". Rayl took his sights off VX for another sip of his drink. It was hard to find true good help these days.

''I have participated in a raid on the Planet of Bimmisaari with the Army of Light. That is the only mission I have done in the last 10 years. Before that I was affiliated with many organizations and factions. However most of those organizations had unsatisfactory missions and rewards for someone of my skill, so I turned on most of them. This is a warning to you if I decide that your organization is not paying me enough or making the best use of my skills, I will eradicate you.'' The droids threat was not to be taken lightly. He was a very, very, very old droid and he had already had many allies. Most of them were dead now, but not because they lived their lifes and died of natural causes or in a fire fight. They were dead because they made the mistake of treating XV like a mindless combat droid.

"I assure you I've some; extremely lucrative contracts out right now. If you think you could bring the Chancellor of The Republic to me there is a one hundred million credit bounty on his head, or half that for dead. But he's not the one I want right now. I've a more personal bounty I wish done. But I must ask. What is The Army of Light. Some goody two shoes group fighting bandits and people like me"? Rayl grinned wide and nearly burst out laughing, but that would be rude now wouldn't it.

''The Army of Light is, from what I've gathered, a group of people that want to destroy the sith and everyone who follows the ''Dark Side''. I joined up with them because I have never really fought sith before and it was a very amusing experience. That is all I know about them. Now tell me what that bounty is. If I decide that the mission parameters will be satisfactory, I will accept your offer, if not ... you don't want to find out.'' The Droid noticed that the fleshlingstarted to grin. XV didn't take lightly to people laughing about him, but he wasn't sure if Rayl was laughing about him, or something else. ''What is so funny?''

"Nothing. I just found the concept I thought of them before you told me to be amusing". The truth was quite interesting though. Likely to be Jedi and others who share the same ideals fighting against the dark side. It may be valuable information to the right people if they didn't know. Or something further investigation could bear fruit from. "But yes, why I've called you here. There is a woman, a Jedi. By the name of Daella Apparine. She was the one who caused the shielding to fall on Nar Shaddaa, and put me into an embarrassing situation with negotiations. Hunt her down, capture her, and then I'll do as I wish once you bring her to me. 7 million credits for her. You'll find that very worth your time".

A Jedi, huh. That was something new. XV has hunted many people before, criminals, Hutts, scientists, civilians, politicians etc., but never before had he hunted a Jedi. ''Will I be hunting her on my own, or will one of your fleshlings be assisting me and I would also like to have more information on the target before I accept this mission.'' It would be interesting to hunt a Jedi, but he did need some more information about her and he also needed to know if he would be doing this solo or with a team. After all Jedi were no simple criminals, they were elite soldiers that have trained all their lives to be the best of the best and they were tough nuts to crack. So depending on how strong the Jedi was, he would need someone to act as a decoy while he was capturing the Jedi. He would also need to get some new equipment, because his current armament wouldn't help him in fighting a Jedi.

Tucked away in his pants pocket was a data drive, which he procured at the request for more information on the target. It took a little extra digging with all the other random stuff he was carrying at the time. "Here, this is everything I know about her. Its not much, but we acquired security camera footage of her from the battle, plus the reports of a mercenary who fought against her. And a spy managed to dig up a little more info on her, can't forget that". Rayl set the drive down on the edge of the table. A small device, but quite capable in its storage capacity. Containing all the reports and video footage of Daella. "As for help, I can get you arms and transportation to the core worlds. You'll have to hire some muscle if you feel you need it. I can lend a few names though if you wish. But otherwise its all you big guy".

XV took the Data drive that contained Daella's information and stored it in a small pocket. He would look through the data later on when he was back on his ship, but for now he had to make a couple of requests. ''I will accept this mission, but before I can complete the mission successfully I will need some equipment. First I will need some kind of way to block a lightsaber, second I will need a way to capture the Jedi and last I will need someone who would pose as my ''master'' so that I can get near her and capture her using deception. That is all I will need.'' Once he got all of the things he needed he would probably be able to capture the Jedi and bring her to Rayl.

"I can get something to block a saber for you. But your plan will not work. You are a droid, you have no presence in the force. They'd spot you like a blue sun going nova. No you will need not a disguise". Rayl leaned forward and set his chin upon his fist. Pondering a moment. "Perhaps. This Army of Light I'd assume would have Jedi in its ranks. And your association may serve you well. If you can get one of them to tell you of her whereabouts, frequently visited places, or set up a meeting place. That would save you the trouble of tracking her yourself. Make up a lie to do so. Much better then walking in to a den of Wompas. Would you not say"?

The fleshlings suggestions were good. Maybe XV would use one of his suggested tactics. But first he had a few other things to say ''I like your thinking. You are different from all the other Fleshlings. Maybe I should join you. Tell me about your organization. I would also like to know more about the reason for the bounty on the Jedi. However the latter is optional and is not required.'' Knowing more about the reason for the bounty might give him some insight into what happened between Rayl and the Jedi that made him put out a 7 million credits bounty on her. If he could find out a bit more about the Jedi he might find some kind of weakness that he could exploit, it would also give him some more information about his employer and that's always good.

"I'm Black Sun. We're criminals. And we do what we want. Thats the gist of who we are. The Republic of course doesn't see it that way. And they hurt us badly. But I plan on hurting them back. Harshly". Rayl pushed back his chair, leaving a near empty cup and a lot of anger. "As for Daella, she embarrassed not just me but all of Black Sun. She knocked out the planetary shielding. We lost all our bargaining chips. And our defeat was humiliating due to it. So get the job done XV, bring her back alive, or in pieces if you must. And sign the contract". Rayl moved around the hulk of steel. Leaving with most of his men. One stayed behind though, with a data slate for him to sign the contract with. And to assist with his requested acquisitions.

XV watched the man leave. XV had decided that he would accept this mission and after that he would join the Black Suns. They seemed like they were perfect for him. They had lots of fighting, killing, credits and smart people. It would be great for him once he joined. But for now he had to concentrate on the mission ahead. Capturing a Jedi would not be easy, but it was definitely possible. So XV turned around and looked at the man holding a small data slate. XV stepped closer and took the data slate, read through the contents and signed the contract. It was a most satisfactory deal he had made and it would most likely pay off big time.
