SPECIAL FEATURES
  • 360 Degree Gun Radius
  • Gunner Droid Brain - The CD-14c droid brain helps to assist with aiming technicalities for the tank gunners. Along with this, the droid brain can automatically operate the gun without the use of two gunners. However, this feature of the droid brain makes the tank fire slower and more clumsily without any sentient assistance. It is certainly possible for the tank to operate on a droid gunner brain, though in most circumstances, two sentient gunners will provide optimal performance for the tank
Strengths:
  • Possibility to use automated main-gun firing system
  • 360 Degree turn radius for Gun Platform
  • Powerful, anti-armor main gun
Weaknesses:
  • Tread-based movement make's the vehicle difficult to sometimes impossible to operate in certain terrains such as swamps and very mountainous terrains
  • Any damage to frontal track-system will greatly hinder the ability for the Matador to operate at full efficiency
  • Very susceptible to anti-tank landmines
  • Underside of tank has weak armor plating
Description
  • Out of all things the fledgling Jen'ari 'Empire' had, they didn't have the basis for military warfare. They had blasters, armor for soldiers, walkers...though they didn't have the basics of a main-line and streamlined battle tank. The walkers do work at great efficiency, though they require a great amount of resources to replace. Resources that the Jen'ari Empire doesn't want to waste on needless replacements when they can get a much cheaper alternative that can be streamlined quite efficiently and quickly. Thus, imperial engineers began work on a main-line tank for use by the force of the Jen'ari. The result? The Matador-4 Tank. The tank it's self is of a simple design, not requiring a multitude of resources or manpower to operate and field in quick succession. The main idea was, of course, to have an easy to manufacture tank that could accomplish it's task as a front-line armor unit efficiently and without too much technical babble or needless resources used.
