Energy Weapon Resistance: Made with high quality Shell Spider Silk, the robes are capable of dissipating energy blasts from most small blaster weapons. With the added armorweave underlay protecting the most vital parts of her body, Samara’s robes are as good as many light armors. Due to how thin the material is the robes are incapable of completely withstanding direct blaster fire.
Melee Resistance: Due to the spider silk the custom robes are capable of withstanding a direct vibroblade assault, though not without suffering damage that would not prevent continual assault in the same location.
Limited Stun Resistance: With the use of nano cap-drain modules sewn in the robes, when exposed to an electrical charge such as a stun bolt, will draw the energy into the modules and dissipate it harmlessly around the wearer. However, due to their small size the modules are capable of taking a limited charge it a small time frame before being burned out.
Minor Camouflage: With the inclusion of minimum photoreactive fiber in the weaving the wearer is capable of effecting minor camouflage, though it would not pass scrutiny closer then 20 meters under decent lighting conditions.
Strengths:
- Lightweight Protection: Designed with the perils of politics in mind, the robes provide adequate protection in a none combat environment. Giving the wearer enough protection from the most common threats in order to escape.
- Social Chameleon: Designed to look as inconspicuous as possible while on the streets of any major population.
- Not Body-Armor: Despite the protections implemented the robes are far from body armor quality. Capable of only deflecting glancing blows and indirect fire, the robes would only be capable of slowing and reducing bodily damage in taken directly.
- Limited Protection Against Elements: While designed to be breathable and maintain a functional body temperature the robes are unsuitable for more harsher climates.
After having grown up in the Hapan courts of Intrigue, and then spent a number of years competing with other Sith Apprentices Samara has gained an appreciation for well hidden personal protection. Starting with her joining the Jedi Order Samara began the development of Jedi Robes that would not only blend into Hapan society, but offer protection against a number of assassination attempts by her rivals.
She first began with a base design of Shell Spider Silk, providing adequate blaster and vibroblade protection. However, she soon added a thin armorweave underlay to the outer vestments for better protection of vital points. This latest version has seen the inclusion of photoreactive fibers weaved into the Spider Silk for improved stealth when the situation called for it, as well as nano cap-drain modules sewn into the robes to help dissipate stun bolts instead of relaying on the force for it.
Though she does not like having a show of aggression as part of the robes, Samara always the practical, has included a belt hook for her lightsaber and a throwing vibroblade hidden within a small pocket on the belt.
