With her decision to actively, if covertly, support the new Sith Empire, Taeli recognized she needed something that could conceal her identity actively when participating in the grand crusade coming. Not wanting to rely solely on illusions and other misdirections through the Force, she decided to craft a mask to conceal her identity, one that would utilize her expertise in alchemy and sorcery to obscure her very presence from being recognized.
To that end, she crafted a mask of alchemized electrum, imbuing it with several different Sith spells of concealment. Runes were inscribed on the inside to maintain the spells, their energy being derived through the alchemy process and the "willing" sacrifice of a few test subjects. The end result completely obscures her presence within the Force, making it appear as though she were someone else. To further keep up the charade, she had a voice changer installed that would shift her voice so she couldn't be recognized by that route either. However, the spells and runes, as she knew, could be rendered inert if the mask was directly affected by an application of Force Light, which would force her to rely on other avenues to keep her double life secret.
