DESCRIPTION

Roon was a planet located in the nearly impenetrable Cloak of the Sith. Known for its Roonstones, the planet was constantly sought after by treasure hunters for years.

Located in an impenetrable cosmic dust cloud ominously referred to as the Cloak of the Sith, easily navigable routes to Roon had long been lost. Even the most complete accounts, located in the Baobab Archives on Manda, were sketchy at best, and the lockdown of information following the rise of the Galactic Empire seemed to seal Roon's fate as a planet lost to history. This was fine to native Roonians; the planet was largely self-sufficient and plentiful in resources.

Like nearby Ryloth, Roon only rotated on its axis once every orbit around the sun, rendering one side constantly bright and the other side constantly dark. Unlike Ryloth, however, the lit side of the world was not scorching, nor was the dark side frigid; this phenomenon may be due to cloud cover, or an extensive ozone layer. Whatever the reason, Roon long served as a staging point for spice smugglers coming from Ryloth.

It was by this consequence that a branch was opened on Roon. It is located on the dark side of the planet, on outskirts of a plains city. It appears as a derelict and abandoned building on the outside. On the inside, however, is a comfortable area for the shop's use. Each shop maintains a fairly identical layout - rank with the dark, morbid, and gloomy. They tend to be cramped and packed full of items such as artifacts, relics, and other questionable curios. Most shops double as the shopkeeper's home, so there are typically more levels devoted to their living space.

Marrow & Illskin's have several shops in key locations throughout the galaxy to help distribute rare and questionable items without drawing too much attention. The shops are often found in hidden away areas not immediately apparent to the casual passerby. In many cases, one must actually be given the location of the shop to find it by someone who has already been there. It goes without saying that its clientele is discreet members of society that do not give the information out to just anyone, is that the shop is closely linked to the Black Market and other unmentionables.

There consist four areas of a shop:

 • Main Shop - where the shelves are piled with oddities and artifacts, the aisles are narrow and often filled with unintentional traps of things hanging in the way or sticking out. Often there is a layer of dust settled on most surfaces.
 • Armory - a small side room with aged display cases baring weapons of various alchemical properties and varying stages of ill repute.
 • Apothecary - a sectioned corner devoted to the ingredients and tools required for alchemy and sorcery.
 • Archives - a room of tall, dusty stacks at the back of the main shop filled with old books, tomes, scrolls. The lucky shopper might find a holocron or datacron or two, though the value of the contents can vary substantially.

Micah Talith partially owns this branch along with his uncle Dissero and typically oversees the shop when his uncle Dissero is unavailable. Normally, Micah works out of this shop to create various alchemical trinkets or requests.

In light of this, don't expect to get personal or chit-chat, as in light of recent events Micah doesn't like window shoppers or many visitors. Prying questions about the shop, the origins of its items, or anything of the nature will earn a customer an unceremonious trip to the exit. The general rule of thumb when shopping at Marrow & Illskin's: no names, no questions, no bartering.
