  • Superior Armament - Three times the firepower of the Imperial IV-class Star Destroyer, the Mandator boasts amazing ship-destroying capabilities; able to destroy multiple smaller vessels at once. A pairing of these with proper escorts would be devastating on the field of battle against other weaker fleets with vessels of the same class and size.
  • Heavy Shielding - The one thing on this ship equally as powerful as the weaponry is its amazing shielding array. Normally, the double-layered shielding can sustain an inordinate amount of damage from a number of ships before the reinforced hull is made accessible, even more so with the molecular shielding added to the mix.
  • Exotic Weaponry - Chiss-made megamasers have been installed in lieu of regular turbolasers, granting the vessel somewhat of an edge against starships that thought they would be facing an enemy armed with turbolasers.
  • Siege Mode - A specialized 'mode' for the Mandator that, when activated, reveals previously-hidden advanced weapons as well as activates a powerful molecular shielding array. On top of them, small attack hangars open in the ventral section of the ship, each capable of dropping up to four All Terrain Rapid Deployment Pods for the Imperial Army to attack planetary bodies without needing dropships.

  • Vulnerable Aft Section - Ironically, on a destroyer that can obliterate smaller ships in seconds; the amount of weaponry on the aft section, where the massive ion drives are located, is laughable. The present armaments are not capable of fending off smaller, more agile vessels, leaving the task to escort ships.
  • Unsightly Speed - While fantastic ion drives are installed on the vessel, the sheer size of it makes it difficult to propel it through space, garnering it a 'Low' for a ship of its class. Compared to a standard star destroyer, the Mandator moves slower than a bantha.
  • Power Hungry - The massive weapons array can easily draw power from other systems including but not limited to shields and engines; possibly leaving the ship exposed after firing at its full potential.
  • Exotic Weaponry - Surprisingly, the ships is also at a slight disadvantage with the megamasers. If one were to malfunction during battle, it would be out of the fight entirely due to the fact that Imperial engineers simply do not have enough experience with megamasers in order to carry out quick repairs, hindering the ship in a prolonged fight with its shields down.
  • Siege Mode - While 'Siege Mode' greatly enhances weapon and shield power, it also severely hinders manoeuvrability and speed, in effect a trade-off. In this mode, the Mandator cannot move period, only being able to angle itself somewhat with manoeuvring thrusters.

Dagobah was a nightmare.

With the retreat of the Imperial fleet due to circumstances beyond their control, thousands of swamptroopers and dozens of Imperial tanks were left on the swamp world without air support. While they were inevitable retrieved by an Imperial strike force, this was considered a massive logistical failure on the part of the Galactic Empire. In an effort to counter this blunder and prevent it from happening in the future, Advanced Weapons Research was quick to draw up a design for a siege vessel made to greatly enhance planetary invasions as well as hold-out against the enemy in the event of naval retreats, providing support for ground forces until reinforcements arrive.

Based on the earlier First Order dreadnought, the Mandator IV; The Mandator V serves to create a permanent link between the Imperial Navy and the Imperial Army, hopefully becoming an invaluable asset in both space and ground battles. On the exterior is a carefully crafted array of armaments destined to shred enemy vessels and defend the battlecruiser from minuscule starfighters, as well as a dual-layered shield array that can take a massive amount of firepower. Capable of being launched from the dorsal superstructure are nineteen entire squadrons of space superiority starfighters and heavy bombers.

But that's not all this ship is capable of; a specially-constructed module, aptly named 'siege mode', releases the ship's full potential at the price of its speed and manoeuvrability. Multiple exotic weapons are released from their durasteel prisons, including the dreaded weaponry from the infamous Conqueror-class of star destroyers. Concurrent to this, a new set of shield projectors are revealed, activating a unique molecular shield to assist in powering these wonder weapons by absorbing enemy fire; as well as several 'attack' hangars that are able to launch drop pods full of soldiers and walkers onto the surface of planetary bodies.

Looks solid.

'Bastion' Combat System

I understand that you have verbal permission to use this piece of FO tech on your vessel. If I could get a reference to this on the board (or if the tech's affiliation is changed to include the Galactic Empire), I think we'll be set.
