OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create one of a few small soldier units for the Book of Mos Motesta
  • Role: Enforcer/Soldier units within the smaller factions
  • Permissions: N/A
  • Links: N/A
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: "Player discretion" means that the player using the Mandalorian Strays MUST establish what equipment they are using and how many mandalorians there are within their first post in the thread, regardless of if the enemy would know or not. This can either be done in character through descriptions, or out of character in a footnote/header. This is to prevent the player from just specially designing a squad to counteract whatever the enemy may have
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Mandalorian Strays
  • Affiliation: Book of Mos Motesta
  • Classification: Freelance Soldiers
  • Description: With no specific uniform due to the nature of their existence, Strays are very hard to pick out in a crowd due to how average they look by Mandalorian standards.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Small (anywhere between 1 and 6 soldiers can be in a unit at a time, fully at the discretion of the Player using them)
  • Unit Availability: Rare
  • Unit Experience: Varies from Recruit to Veteran, full player discretion
  • Equipment: Beskar'gam, Various weapons (All cannon Blaster Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Blaster Pistols, player discretion but limited to one primary and one secondary, i.e.: one blaster rifle and a pistol, one sniper rifle and a blaster rifle, etc.)
  • Combat Function: Varies depending on the squad, full player discretion
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
Strengths:
  • Mandalorian Spirit: These soldiers come from a long line of Mandalorians before them and will fight to the death for any cause they deem righteous
  • Versatile: Due to the freelance nature of these fringe Mandalorian squads, no two squads will ever be the exact same. This allows for a great deal of versatility within a unit consisting of Mandalorian Strays, as there will be a huge variety of weapons, people, and experience levels mixed throughout.
  • Beskar'gam: Due to their heritage, all Mandalorian Strays are equipped with their own personal suit of beskar armor, with no gimmicks or hidden surprises attached
Weaknesses:
  • Disorganized: Due to the nature of the Black Hand, none of these Mandos actually belong to one specific order, with each coming from any part of the galaxy that they resided in before joining the Black Hand. As such, there is a lot of tension and lack of communication between them due to the tendency of freelancers to butt heads with each other
  • Freelancer Army: Most mandalorian strays dont have a place to call home, instead flying in after claiming their last paycheck and coming in search of another one. As such, Mandalorian strays dont always stay around long enough to gain enough trust to promote, meaning that Strays will never advance above veteran status, and cannot be used for anything but single-use mission support units
  • Untrustworthy: Although supposedly bound by creed, the fact that Mandalorian Strays are typically freelance Mercs tends to bring about trust problems once opposing parties begin offering large sums of money that that Black Hand is simply incapable of matching
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Following the reinstatement of the Black Hand and its primary fleet, the Black Fleet, Leenic Ellsil began subtly dispersing propaganda and job offers throughout the various bounty hunting and mercenary networks he had built up over his years in those fields. Soon enough, both individual freelancers and small teams of Mandalorian mercs began showing up on the Black Hand's doorstep looking for work, to which they were met with various odd jobs that needed doing for the black hand.

These "Strays", as Leenic calls them, are assigned to the vast majority of manpower-related jobs that the Black Hand has open ranging from security details all the way down to just manual labor around the homestead. Although Mandalorians at heart, Leenic has advised against trusting them too well, as a good enough paycheck could potentially get them to shoot the Black Hand members in the back.

I love this submission, however, "player discretion" is not going to work as you have it written.. I refer you to the table below:

m9iV36K.png

This determines what type of weapons from the factory could be used and during this process is when to determine that. Since combat units do factor into pvp combat you are going to need to lay out what weapons this unit uses, or a range of weapons within this submission players could choose from. For the player discretion to work, you must provide the list here as to what is acceptable or not, and anything from the factory must conform to the table I have provided.

I can help you get there, but it will need to fit into the Codex guidelines.
