  • Hierarchy: The Overseen by a General who appoints Commanders to organise smaller squadrons within the group. Generally, those with the more authoritative positions in the military are Alors but in the lack or absence of Alors then other suitable highly skilled warriors will be appointed positions.

Squadrons are formed of 3-5 Mandalorians and 5 squadrons come together to form a platoon which is overseen by a lieutenant and 2 platoons form a company, overseen by a commander:
    Squadron: 3-5 individuals
Platoon: 5 squadrons (15-25 individuals). Led by lieutenant.
Company: 2 platoons (30-50 individuals). Led by commander.

Within the Concord as a whole, they are treated as equal soldiers in the Concord's other infantry but to some of the Mandalorians their sense of pride instils an arrogance in which they don't always see themselves as equals. The
Commanders are treated in the same level of military as the Jedi Masters.

  • Membership: Still in its early stages, there are only a couple of hundred individuals but the group is growing as word spreads. The Mandalorians regulate themselves, expanding their own ranks through the invitation of outside Mandalorians with the Jedi having little interference.

To join OOC, join the SJC faction page and message me on here or on Discord. There's a dedicated channel to the subfaction in the SJC Discord.

  • Climate: There is an undercurrent of camaraderie within the Mandalorians themselves but relationships differ with the different groups under the Concord. There is a noticeable competition between the Covenant and the elite Antarian Rangers also under the Jedi. For many, this competition is friendly but some take it too seriously.

Their relationship with the Jedi is also not without squabbles. Some Mandalorians settled well into the Alliance and are not troublesome but there are others who are merely tolerant of the alliance, wishing to benefit from the mutual benefit it brings but nothing more. For these individuals, there is an unspoken tension between them and their Jedi benefactors.

  • Reputation: Depending on who holds the opinion, the reputation varies greatly. The alliance is not without complication and is contentious to some. There is a certain wariness from some of the Jedi due to the complex historical relationship between the two groups and the differing values they have, but others welcome the group with open arms, hoping to mend any grievances and cement future relations between the groups. For the most part, the groups get along but opinion varies from individual and tensions noticeably arise when a member of the group acts in a way that negatively impacts the reputation of the Concord.

Their relationship with Mandalorians outside of the Covenant also differs. To some, they remain neutral but some of the more zealous of Mandalorians are not pleased about the alliance with one of their historical enemies, marking it as a sign of weakness and dependence.

  • Curios: Members can opt to have the Covenant's sigil on their armour but it is not compulsory.

  • Rules: The Resol'nare forms the underlying rules but they are expected to uphold the Jedi's code of conduct when representing them, though some ideals overlap with the emphasis the Mandalorians place on honour such as the avoidance of killing an unarmed opponent.

They are given some autonomy from the Jedi who understand the cultural needs of the Mandalorians, including their need to follow the Resol'nare. The Covenant is of an equal alliance and the Jedi do not force subservience onto the Mandalorians but in order to maintain the alliance and otherwise good relations then the Mandalorians need to exercise a degree of control by following the example of the Jedi.

  • Goals: The goals are to eradicate the enemies that threaten both groups, namely the Sith Empire and the Bryn. It is initially intended as a temporary alliance while the groups face a shared threat but it could progress into something more substantial in time and with gained trust.

Their secondary goal is to rebuild and strengthen themselves after the brutal extermination they faced on their home planet which severely depleted their numbers.

An alliance born out of mutual benefit, the Covenant formed in response to the rising threat of the Bryn in the galaxy and the Mandalorians' decimation at the hands of the Sith, both enemies which they shared with the Jedi. As a relatively new development in the Mandalorian and Jedi relations, the faction only has recent history but their historical relationship with the Jedi runs deep and continues to colour the attitudes of some of the members of the Covenant and the overarching Concord.

Initially, the Covenant began after increasing numbers of Mandalorian mercenaries began working with the Concord in their endeavours - some of whom became regular contractors. Upon seeing an opportunity, the Jedi offered an alliance to their recurring beneficiaries through the agreement of several clan Alors.

The alliance was formed between the two groups and a pact was made, allowing the Mandalorians a degree of autonomy since they needed the freedom to fulfil the Resol'nare. While not ideal for the Jedi to have allies who may be rallied to war in the name of their Mand'alor at any given moment, at the time of the alliance formation it was deemed a non-threat due to the groups' sharing of enemies, meaning they would be fighting the same war regardless.

To maintain cultural freedom from the Jedi, the Covenant was given free reign of the jungle moon Dxun where they could rebuild the outpost there for training and inhabiting, though some Mandalorians chose to reside on Kashyyyk. There they formed an internal structure and regulated themselves - inviting other Mandalorians and slowly growing in strength and numbers. Now, the Covenant resides on Dxun in wait for the call to war against their enemies.
