SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: MandalMotors Convention Center
  • Classification: Community Center and Meeting Place
  • Location: New Keldabe
  • Affiliation: Mandalorians
  • Accessibility: Limited Security outside of special events
  • Security: Local Law Enforcement
  • Description: Located at the base of the new MandalMotors Tower, the MandalMotors Concention Center is a far cry from the original building which was made of simply granite. After the destruction of Mandalore and the Mandalorian Civil War, both MandalMotors Hall and MandalMotors Tower fell. In its place was constructed the MandalMotors Convention Center, a much larger, much sturdier multi role structure constructed of Mandalorian Steel, Beskar, and various other building materials. Connected to a MandalRail station it serves as one of the main transport hubs in the city of New Keldabe as well as one of the largest meeting places on Mandalore. Space is often rented out to small businesses who want to get a start in the quickly growing city of New Keldabe and events large and small are hosted in the Convention Centers various rooms and halls. Around it traditional Mandalorian restaurants have popped up alongside Mandalorian Gift Shops, making it a true tourist trap for the few that would brave a vacation on an Outer Rim world like Mandalore.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • MandalRail Station: Keldabe Station, one of the busiest MandalRail stations on Mandalore. It brings in supplies, shipments, people and tourists to MandalMotors Convention Center. The closest MandalRail Station to Keldabe Station is Kelita Station which is a short trip over the Kelita Lake that now surrounds Keldabe.
  • Alor Hall: While the new Mand'alor does not heed the words of the Alor any longer, the Alor Hall is based off of the original MandalMotors Hall and is a medium sized granite construction built to resemble the old meeting place of the great Mandalorian Chieftains. Now it is used as an auditorium for special events or as a small holo-museum of Mandalorian History.
  • MandalMotors Tower:

Erected right over the convention center is MandalMotors Tower, the hub of all of MandalMotors financial and concept work. Spread throughout the 300 meter tall tower are two tourist observation decks which are accessed through special tourist elevators, drafting rooms, financial offices, administrative offices, small R&D labs, a large employee lounge and bar, as well as Zeke's personal office which overlooks the entire city of Keldabe. The tallest building in Keldabe, it makes an impressive statement.
  • Memorial Pond: A large, shallow, man made pond situated just outside of the convention center. Its bottom is simply a large, colorful slab of Mandalorian Cubist art. A long wall with names of the numerous victims of Keldabe's destruction is nestled right in the center of the pond. Its not uncommon for people to wade through the pond to get to the wall. It is considered one of Mandalore's mass burial sites, even though there are no bodies.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
During the Battle of Keldabe, the remaining structure of MandalMotors tower and MandalMotors Hall were destroyed, pulled down by Mia Monroe in a last ditch effort to bury Ra Viszla and his his Death Watch supporters. Several months after the Civil War's end, during reconstruction of of Keldabe instead of the old structure of granite and rows of seats, MandalMotors decided on constructing a site that would better suit the rebuilt Keldabe. Where previously Keldabe retained the old-style feel of a Mandalroan City with mostly dirt paths and a combination of stone, steel and wood buildings, the new city was built as a modern city, up to par with much of the Galaxy's other cities. While not as illustrious as the rebuilt Sundari, the current capital of the Mandalorian Empire, Keldabe sprung up as a strong contender, as it still held much of Mandalore's culture in its construction.

MandalMotors Convention Center was a blend of new and old. Constructed at the base of the new MandalMotors Tower it was constructed of mostly metal and beskar and glass, giving it an industrial and modern look compared to the granite dome MandalMotors Hall used to be. A cultural and travel hub in the city as it was connected to both a Space Port and a MandalRail Station, it served as not only a tourist trap, but also as a place for some of the smaller and more traditional clans to gather and speak, or for large and small corporations to hold events such as expos or tech talks. It also served as the base of MandalMotors Tower, making it a central place for internships in research and design. Where Lake Kelita represented the Hubris of the Mandalorian People, MandalMotors Convention Center and MandalMotors Tower served as reminders to the Galaxy that the Mandalorians would not stay defeated. Just as the previous MandalMotors Hall was donated by MandalMotors, as was the convention center.
