Beacon from the Dark
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
During her time as a Jedi Knight, Malka developed a standard crossguard lightsaber. However, upon her abandonment, Malka altered the design to support the cracked and unstable crystal's effects. The hilt was altered to allow the smaller blades be more effective during combat whilst blocking or cutting foes. If a lightsaber were to strike the blade's center, the exposed blades can catch it, unlike standard crossguard lightsabers which could be damaged this way. The black material has become tarnished over the years of disrepair, yet it still functions.
