Tegaea looked a bit rueful. “I did, feeling better. Look, I’m sorry about last night. It was not a good day.”
Understatement of the year.

She put a hand on Siobhan’s shoulder. “How are you?”

"It's ok. Nothing to apologise. If you need space, I'll wait," she said, reaching up to enclose her hand around Tegaea's. With her mind she poured her a cup of stimcaf. The rays of the sun shined through the window and basked the dining room in their bright light. Outside there was hectic activity as the industrial town of Fondor came to life, millions of citizens going about their business, now under the 'new regime', for good or ill, but that was not their problem anymore.

"You're better, so I'm good. Look, I don't pity you or think you're weak. I just...want to help."

"You have helped, Siobhan, more than you could ever know. Come on, let's take the first steps of this new day. The two of us, together forever, whether you want it or not."
She smiled and pulled @[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] into a hug. A new day was dawning and soon they would be past this hurdle and onto the next stage of their adventures. For what, after all, was life without adventure?
