HISTORY

Maldor was the lone child born to Vianca and Casteban Mecetti of House Mecetti on the Throne World of Obulette. His father, Casteban, is the Provincial Lord of the Macetti Province in the Tapani sector. His mother, born of House Calipsa, is also the Director of the House Ministry of Inquiry, the House spynet. Together, they wield considerable influence within the Tapani sector. They raised their son Maldor with the hopes that he could become Obulette's representative in the Galactic Alliance Senate.

Maldor's father trained him in politics and etiquette. His mother trained him in combat and intelligence. But perhaps some of the most important training he received came from the secret Mecetti vault. He was shown the vault on his thirteenth birthday, and swore a blood oath to keep it a secret. Within, Sith artifacts and holocrons were kept, remnants of a time when House Mecetti was allied to the Sith (in 1032 BBY.)

Maldor was force sensitive, and was able to open the Sith holocrons, absorbing the knowledge they contained. He was the first Mecetti in two generations who was able to access the secrets within. He even constructed his own lightfoil according to the ancient techniques of the Sith order.

His knowledge of Sith secrets proved useful in his youthful adventures as a Saber Rake. Maldor was a prodigy at lightfoil combat. It was a tradition among the young nobles of Tapani sector to engage in lightfoil duels to settle disputes, and Maldor's knowledge of Makashi made him a superb duelist. Focusing on control and technique over power, the form was ideal for lightfoil dueling. He dominated his opponents, and was able to make allies among fellow young nobles who preferred to be backing him rather than facing off against him.

Maldor's knowledge of the force is mostly physical, with the ability to enhance his leaps, and demonstrate exquisite mastery of lightsaber combat, including precognitive defense. His telekinesis is extremely weak, just powerful enough to allow him to seize a dropped weapon or similarly weighted object. His ability to detect the force and force-imbued entities or objects is average, as is his ability to influence the weak-minded. He does notably have the rare ability to use the force in order to drain life energy from defeated and weakened opponents, using their fading life to heal himself.

As Maldor progressed from teenager to young adult, his training in galactic politics was stressed more heavily, and it became less advantageous to engage in duels. He enjoyed some early political victories, such as becoming mayor of the capital city for four years, then becoming Governor of Obulette itself for two. These positions were arranged for him by his parents' influence, and used to train him in the essentials of politics. He proved capable enough in these roles, and he has now been presented as a candidate for Senate, where it is hoped he will further advance the interests of House Mecetti and the Tapani sector.

Maldor has his own ambitions, of course. He hopes to make political alliances with figures who have access to Sith artifacts and secrets of their own, Sith sympathizers who secretly remain a part of galactic politics. Eventually, he hopes to take an apprentice of his own to help him advance his interests.

Current Events: Arrested on charges related to trafficking in Sith artifacts, Maldor escaped, stole five capital ships from the Obulette shipyard, and fled to Empire of the Lost territory. Since then, he has continued to secretly receive assets and aid from House Mecetti.

Maldor cut his teeth on Fleet Tactics by participating in fleet engagements at New Alderaan and Ruisto. He has continued to learn from engagements against the Dark Empire, and had now been in a half dozen fleet actions. Emperor Velran has made him a Moff within the Empire of the Lost. Maldor met the beautiful, resourceful, and powerful Vyllia Santhe of Santhe-Sienar, and began to fall in love.

This relationship was stalled by other matters, however. Alicia Drey made him her secret Sith apprentice (somewhat against his will.) This followed soon after with the revelation that Alicia Drey's outreach may have only been a thinly veiled mask covering the actions of a Sith Lord known as 'Her.' Alicia Drey seemed to have died, leaving Maldor as a direct apprentice to 'Her,' though for all he knew this was just an elaborate ruse.

Upon securing an additional Sith Holocron while under the service of Alicia Drey and 'Her', Maldor learned the Force Illusion technique of Force Masquerade, giving him a 'Sith appearance' that disguises him when he is operating as a Sith Lord. Fueled by his Fear of being discovered, he was able to quickly master the technique. But his lack of dedication to the ways of the Sith soon saw the Sith Holocron closed off from him, as its Guardian personality refused to allow him further access.

During this time, Maldor's relationship with 'Her' soured as he believed she was merely manipulating him to her own ends... hardly surprising for a Sith Lord. During a confrontation with the Diarchs of the Diarchy, where Maldor was meant to kill one of them on behalf of Her, Maldor instead turned on Her and sided with the Diarch.

Soon after, Maldor's ship was infiltrated and used to fire upon a diplomatic delegation on the surface of Bastion, the Diarchal capital. He and his forces barely escaped as the scene descended into open warfare. This proved to be only the first step in a complex plan of sabotage and manipulation by unknown forces, as the entire Empire of the Lost was collapsed by a great economic crisis staged by Alicia Drey's 'Fifth Wing' forces, or Her's, or both of them.

As the Empire burned, Maldor rescued Vyllia Santhe- and made an unlikely play: He approached the Diarchy and pledged himself to their service. The Diarchs accepted, their own investigations revealing that Maldor was not responsible for the attack on their capital. They also noted that he turned against his own master previously, to side with the Diarchs. After proving himself useful, Maldor was made into High Chancellor of the Diarchy, while Vyllia was made a Chancellor of Commerce. The two have pledged to marry, forming a new cadet House from both of their parent families: House Sancetti.
