Welcome Everybody, to the Day of the Free Festival on Malachor V.
I always liked reading through the Festival threads made by others that have their own cities or planets, so I decided to do one myself, and you are all invited to join.
There will be a story leading through all this, with new events popping up once in a while throughout the different cities, but for the start I just want everybody interested to pick their city, join the festivities and interact with each other. But don't worry, there will always be something do to. Obviously I also encourage you to also make up your own stories in this setting. I know some of the Location Subs are ridiculously long, but I also encourage you to at least skip through them for inspiration and some general knowledge about the setting if you want to do your own thing.
So here a quick run down of the current events that are going on as a base for your roleplay, plus some ideas for what you could do if you don't have something in mind yourself. Generally speaking you can also go around and sell your wares for example, as most cities have some kind of Market around.
1. The Tainted City
Paint the Tainted City: A main part of the festival inside the Tainted City is based about graffiti and urban art, so if you have a artistic character (or just one with the desire to leave a mark somewhere) feel free to give the city of scrap a new color. Write words on the walls, paint pictures, build a sculptures, or whatever else you can think of. Everything else goes in the Tainted City.
For the rest: The Tainted City already holds numerous clubs and bars everywhere, and if your character just wants to get drunk or high and have a good time, than you can just go with the flow, meet some new people, enjoy some music and generally go wild. As said before, everything goes, the Tainted City is an anarchist society after all.
A word of warning: Avoid the outskirts of the city, especially near the red light district, or there is a high chance to be attacked and robbed by the gangs there.
2. The Blessing
Take a boat trip: Less the person for wild deranged Parties, and more the "spend some quality time with friends" type of person? Board one of the many Boats that travel through the Blessing, enjoy some fresh food and the tropical weather in a relaxed atmosphere.
Take a walk through Project Rebirth: Looking for something to do that doesn't involve any other people at all, and enjoy some solitude? The outskirts of the Blessing offer a wide area of farms, with plant live unseen anywhere else on Malachor. Perfect to enjoy some quality time with yourself.
3. Spheres of Ash
Join the protest in the Lower City: Time to join the angry mob, shout and behave like you are really mad about something, maybe even smash some windows on the way. Just don't attack people and stuff, the people of the lower city a pretty proud about having half civilized protests.
Enjoy some Twi'lek Culture: The free Slaves brought a lot of their culture into the Spheres, so you can go around and listen to traditional Twi'lek songs, look at Twi'lek art and do all the other things associated with Twi'lek culture. Probably the most interesting for people that play a Twi'lek Character lol.
Waste all your Money in the Upper City: Is your Character rich, like really, really rich? Head to the upper city, and throw away all your money for ridiculously expensive foods and drinks, gamble your home away in a casino, or watch a very battle in the arena.
4. Firewall
Water the Flower: No party in Firewall today sorry, but if you want you can share something with the people there, and your own personal piece to the monument there. Or just watch as others do it.
Join the Network: Firewall is a city with its own Virtual Reality network, which can be joined from nearly any establishments in the city. Probably a cool place for all tech oriented character to meet and do some tech things lol.
