- Description: A two-story home nestled along the hills created long ago by volcanic activity.The home sits flat, with the large lot of land gently sloping to a private beach below. The bottom level of the home is more of a basement level, with less windows and sweeping views. The main floor is mostly solarium glasteel to take advantage of the beautiful landscape. Most of the home, save for the man cave, was professionally decorated with the idea of seamlessly blending the outdoor and in. For ultimate privacy, the home is located in a controlled gated community and the beaches surrounding are for residents and guests only.
- Basement/Lower Level : The basement level of the home is the ultimate man cave. With a bar set up along the back wall, massive entertainment system surrounded by plush furniture, sabacc and billiard tables, it is everything one could dream for in entertainment. As a result, there are regular sabacc nights on a rotating basis, along with a gathering for most major shockboxing prize fights. A storage room in the man cave contains surfboards, fishing gear, and the extra trappings of a home that don't quite fit anywhere else.
- Living Room/Lounge : Facing the hill, it is the first room upon entering the home. Modern furniture in airy, neutral tones fill the space, artfully arranged to provide the most view but also facilitate conversations between guests.
- Kitchen : The space takes advantage of being connected top the lounge, giving it a larger feel that it really is. For a home of its status, the kitchen is high end but on the smaller side, with bar seating facing in. During decoration and remodel, it was purposely decided to not have a dining table, taking in the fact the young owner would most likely only be using the space to store leftovers and reheat what he could find.
- Guest Bedroom : On a back corner facing the ocean with partial views of a former volcano now covered in jungle growth. Standard double bed with an en suite, the guest room is most often used by close friends and family traveling through. It is a quiet space in the home, tucked away ,with controls for the glasteel, allowing for as much or as little privacy as one would like.
- Office : Between the guest and main bedroom. A desk in the middle faces the expansive ocean views, with the walls covered in various bits of art, diplomas, holos, and related items to perform tasks for Salacia Consolidated at home. On a shelf is a collection of geodes and small pieces of coral Makai has collected throughout his travels through the galaxy. Up on a high shelf, a macaroni droid is displayed prominently.
- Main Bedroom : Located on the front corner of the home due to it being the best view of the ocean. Much of the space is taken up by a large bed facing the glasteel flanked by two bedside tables, with an en suite and large closet attached. There are more personal touches in this room than in other parts of the home such as family holos and various pieces of collectibles. Much like the guest bedroom, controls for the glasteel provide as little or as much privacy one would need.
- Private Dock : Nothing special, just where he moors his sailboat and power vessel for enjoyment around the open seas.
Medium. There are a number of security measures taken at the residence. First, and most importantly, the home lies in an exclusive gated community. As a result, the governing board of the community has implemented measures such as patrolling security guards and checks at every entrance gate. Flight over the community is strictly prohibited, with many residents of high wealth, the reason is cited as one of security and privacy. Residents use landing pads within designated areas within the community, no exceptions made. Secondly, the home has the standard security system, both alerting the alarm company and community security. Lastly, and most importantly, the home is surrounded by bored and well kept men and women, spending their days being busybodies around the community and posting in the neighborhood holonet group with every single suspicion. Not even a new gardener escapes their watch.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Judah Dashiell bought the home for his son after reassigning him to a new sector of the galaxy for the company. With expansion underway of Salacia, it was important Makai wouldn't be stuck in short term accommodations or making a long flight to the Tingel Arm. Deciding it was important to get his son off on the right foot, the home was purchased in the gated community and immediately renovated. Location was chosen to be close to a new branch of Salacia offices, allowing his son to take a more hands on approach in the planning and structuring of the aggressive expansion.
In an effort to keep a balanced space of bachelor pad and young professional, decorators and consultants were hired in the remodeling process, allowing the home to have a lived in but light and cozy look. Landscapers were careful to keep a natural, jungle feel to the outdoors while also adding in lighting and small hardspaces to place hammocks and patio furniture.
Since moving in, Makai has befriended his neighbor, an 85 year old, nearly blind Pantoran widow named Mrs.Meris. For his efforts in assisting her with basic tasks such as taking out her trash, he has been awarded a plethora of baked goods on a daily basis.
