DESCRIPTION

A bizarre amalgamation of different droid models and parts, the Mahporeem-class Heavy Repair and Salvage Droid is most likely an experimental one off prototype that never made it to higher production levels. As for the reason that this happened, it is not hard to guess, since the droid requires parts from at least seven different models of droids. That being said, there is no denying that such a droid has a myriad of different uses for the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant.

For example the Mahporeem-class Heavy Repair and Salvage Droid is quite adept of completing a variety of different tasks, such as repair work, salvaging, protocol duties and even medical treatment of organic beings. Their are few, if any, situations that the Mahporeem-class Heavy Repair and Salvage Droid would not find use for, even if the droid itself is rather time consuming and difficult to manufacture.

Unfortunately, the Mahporeem-class Heavy Repair and Salvage Droid's biggest failing is not its size, bulk, or expense, but rather its near total inability to defend itself from attack or contribute directly to combat operations. When out in the field, the droid must always be accompanied by armed guard to ensure that it stays safe, though it does possess a Self-Destruct Mechanism to prevent the droid from being captured by enemy forces or tampered with.
