SPECIAL FEATURES

• A set of clasps that come with it, allowing it to be attached to the back of the user.
• The middle of the ax is collapsable, making it easier to carry, as well as giving the user the option of a shorter ax.
• The blade is coated in a Cortosis-weave, which allows the deflection of Lightsaber-based attacks.

DESCRIPTION
A heavy, vibro-weapon in the shape of an ax. It has a length of about 4 ft, but can be collapsed to about 2.5 ft. The haft of the weapon is mostly comprised of beskar, with the middle section being made up of durasteel covered by leather. One of the weapon's biggest drawbacks is that middle section, letting a skilled duelist or shot disable the primary strength of the weapon, leaving it nothing more than a pole made of beskar.

The blade itself isn't made of beskar, rather being primarily durasteel. It does, however, have a Cortosis-weave, which allows it too to deflect as the haft can. This is one of the most controversial parts of the weapons, with many designers with Mandal-Elysium Arms viewing it as unnecessary, saying that it is unlikely that the blade would ever come in contact with a lightsaber. The feature was still added, but many were unhappy.

As for the reason for its creation; A recent rise in power of the Elysium Empire met more enemies for the growing nation. While it had gained the Order of the Lion, as well as its Lion Knights, many officials questioned if they could efficiently protect the ruler of the empire and their loyalty to him. Thus, this weapon would serve as the primary weapon of the official royal guard.
