RATIONALE
Tasander 'Tass' Arceneau came into possession of an industrial synthicator circa 899 ABY. After attending trade shows and running through a variety of unnecessarily complicated experiences with hazmat and space suits, Tass found the niche he had been seeking.
Keenly aware of his lack of professional experience, he went into business with a Laekian Kamarian named Vyrik, whose local expertise, resources, and subcontractor ties made Macharoka viable in return for a 20% stake. Vyrik was well-connected with Laekia's oligarchs, and that indirect patronage helped grease certain regulatory wheels considerably. The involvement of Vyrik's people also legitimized Macharoka as capable of providing Kamarian-tailored gear that actually, for example, fit.
Funding his part of all this drained Tass' allowance sharply - no more firaxa caviar, no more trips to the Flamewind of Oseon.
